Can see him going to Spurs alright but I find his football incredibly dull to watch.

Not sure If Spurs fans will be as forgiving as Wolves supporters regarding that

New Tottenham Manager? Don't really rate the guy, he's ok, but nothing special, boring football too.
yeah not the type of manager to get the Spurs fans excited again I wouldn't of thought

I think it’s a good time for him to go. He’s consolidated their position and I don’t think he can take them much further.

I don’t think he’s the right fit for Spurs

The most boring the team in the league this season though to be fair the Raul Jimenez injury derailed them. Maybe Jose should have waited.

Excellent defensive coach, not really sure many big clubs will want him because of that style. I saw a lot of reports that this was the season he was trying to transition to a more offensive/exciting brand and look where they are in the league. I think it's a decent seat, they have money, good fanbase and history - I reckon they'll try and lure Jardim out of retirement.

Paulo Fonseca is out of a job too.

They were the most boring team in the league before that injury. Every game with Wolves is a chore and it felt like we played them 10 times a season for a couple of years.

Not surprised. I think Wolves have solidified themselves as a midtable side down to sheer money and Mendes funnelling players links way more than Nuno’s tactics. He’s an extremely negative manager who coaches his players to be extremely static and very rarely take games.

Hopefully another Premier League team doesn't pick him up. Could go the rest of my life without seeing another of his teams matches.

Can't be Tottenham, they can't sack Jose only to get budget Jose. I reckon Wolves fired him for sucking ass while playing tumescent football.

A lot of people seem to be waking up to it now, but he was inexplicably very highly rated by many not very long ago.

Was given a Europa League level squad while in the Championship, and got them to the Europa League spots (while playing absolute shit on a stick football). Bang average, and I have no idea why he seemed to be getting more credit than other managers who have come up from the Championship and done well with far, far less.

Our games against wolves during his tenure have made me question the sport

Surely even penny-pinching Levy would realize that getting rid of Mourinho only to hire his budget version later doesn`t make sense. If he sells Kane while hiring Nuno they`ll have the lowest attendance next season with all Spurs fans emigrating to India.

So do we think he's done excellent at Wolves by making them a regular in the top half of the PL or do we think he held them back and they could be a team like Leicester breaking into the top 4 with a better manager?

First season back they did play real good football. Gone downhill since.

Also, I wonder how much of their success is down to the sum rather than the parts. Mendes etc.

Who is the best ever manager that was a goalie as a player?

My mind is drawing a blank to think of any good ones.
Michel Preud'homme or Raymond Goethals.

Lopetegui was a GK too.

Portuguese Sean Dyche. Really aggressive style and a nightmare to play against but awful on the eyes.

I'm really surprised about this, was his contract coming to an end? This will fuel rumours of Spurs, seems logical.
