What an absolute cretin to sub players just for pens when they were there for the taking

I want him gone now. Utterly pathetic to throw away a final like that against opposition far inferior. Nowhere near good enough and the people saying he's still learning on the job need to feck off.

Fecking atrocious management of a final. We were on top in second half and his shit management cost us the ability to keep going forward in extra time.

We looked completely done in ET. Didn't manage a single chance in it because we didn't fecking use our bench earlier.

Fecking shit.

I said it previously if we win the final it'll be a fantastic mood around the club entering the market. Now it's just fecking shit feeling that we're just a bunch of bottlers that can't win when it matters.

Love the guy. But he absolutely 100% shit his pants tonight. No subs when players could hardly run at 90 mins. Not changing anything. Big questions to be asked of him because he loooked like a deer in headlights all night...out thought totally but the lack of any changes of personnel or shape was damning.

Not making subs for almost the entire game and not taking Rashford off was very weird.

What was he playing at? No subs until extra time, Rashford staying on ahead of Greenwood and Pogba, playing de Gea, etc.

He played for pens at extra time and still kept de Gea on. I can't get my head around such stupidity.

Awful awful management. One cannot defend this. Always said he is a tactically a poor poor manager. Sad day.

Greenwood looked knackered, and Rashford was more likely to pull something out of a hat than Dan James or Mata. Simple as that
Right before Mason was subbed Rashford couldnt be arsed to track back causing Cavani to do that job for him. And Greenwood had the composure with the ball, Rashford wasnt even close. No excuse at all for keeping him on.

There is no defending this management. Keeping Rashford on. No attacking subs. Also keeping De Gea on when every United fans know he is shit at saving pens with Henderson having a good record too.

I feel he managed this final terribly and it shows he gets so many things wrong. He is not attacking enough and plays for the draw. Then do not even know his best keeper for pens.

It was a horrible watch. Credit to all our player for the pens apart from De Gea. I do not blame De Gea for missing the pen. That can happen and he is not a striker. Although Henderson should have been on to win it before that.

Everytime I watch De Gea he is awful at saving pens. Manager of our club should know that. Maybe he is good in training, but mental factors are so important and he clearly struggles at the moment.

If we still rank ourselves as a big club, he should be sacked tomorrow morning. If not, let's give him a contract extension. I said it before and I will say it again, I simply cannot see us win anything with him in charge. It's actually sad seeing the state of our coaching staff on the subs bench.

First Sevilla, then Leipzig now this. We wont do anything with him as a manager. We have to take Zidane.

Not sure where he goes from here. Another season without a trophy is inexcusable. Yes it went down to pens, but such is the life of a football manager. 3rd season here, failing to get a trophy in any of them. Next season is going to feel so flat.

Should never have the job, no idea how he has survived this long. We are dreadful and painful to watch. Needs to be sacked.

I was told it's okay he lost semis against teams he wasn't expected to beat. City, Chelsea and Sevilla (apparently. Also did anyone use that excuse for Leicester against Chelsea?) What now? Clear favourites over Villarreal and he has 2 shots on target. One from distance and a deflected shot that fell at the feet of Cavani.

Worrying trend be just doesn't seem to get us over the line.

He really emphasised how limited he is as a coach tonight. Froze when he should have been proactive, bizarre and late substitutions and when we were in the ascendancy in the last quarter of the 90 he did feck all.

Was my first thought too  I genuinely can't remember the last time Martial single handedly won us a match
I know, for all Pogba’s flaws you can’t accuse him of not being a match winner especially if we’re comparing him to Martial
Bottled it tonight. Got us as far as we could come, he doesn't have the balls to make the decisions that win big games. Wouldn't be against a managerial upgrade.
I’m glad you enjoyed that YSB.

As bad as Dave was in the shootout, it's all on Ole. Could have subbed Henderson on beforehand or even made some subs in the second half when we needed fresh legs. This was totally winnable and Ole bottled every chance to make the key difference.

Is he an excellent man manager or he is just too nice. I don't know. Why not take off Rashford? Why not take off DDG? These are decisions that were very obvious for everyone to see and the only thing stopping it from happening is an emotional attachment

Messed up the substitutions in extra time for me. Took Pogba out of the middle and put Fred back in and I don’t think we saw their box after that.

Beginning of the end I reckon. We're about to see another "Mourinho's-third-season".

Of course, at least Mourinho knew how to manage his team during big matches and cup finals.

Get out of this club, you coward.

Afraid to go for it against a 7th place La Liga side who were only playing for set pieces. He has no balls, no fecking balls.

It looks to me that this is about as far as he can take us, he's done well to build up a competitive squad and one that I genuinely believe with a few additions could win the league, just not with him at the helm.

Baffling decisions today. He's a coward who always plays it safe. Why he kept Rashford on tonight is a mystery to me.

Pathetic, clueless and cowardly, got what he deserved. Any credit he has built up has been tarnished or wiped out tonight.

With or without a good transfer window or time, anyone who thinks he will ever take us to required level is living in a dream world. He might be better than his CV but he’s not good enough for this level.

He has been a manager 10 years.. he can’t still be considered a new comer. Definitely isn’t and won’t ever be considered one of the best.

Hes massively improved the squad, morale and our play to extent. But he's took us as far as he can. We need to move on
