One year left on Ole's contract. Do we give him till the end of next season and risk unsettling him or do we secure him for a little bit longer in case he turns out alright?

Waste more money/absolve the club from trophies or moving forward, what would you pick?

He's got a new contract waiting to be announced doesn't he? Probably will wait a bit now, but it's going to happen, people need to get used to it.

That snake Ed will 100% offer him a 6 year contract before leaving. Will be cherry on the cake.

Pretty much this. You just know it would've been announced tomorrow morning if we won the EL. Now it'll be announced halfway through the Euro's.

Of course we do. Anyone saying otherwise is reacting to this result. He's done enough and shown enough progression to not go into a season in the last year as that just causes disruption.

No. He still needs to be fully supported in the transfer market in the summer but next season the pressure is on to properly compete at the top and win a trophy.

I'd wait til the end of next year. It's not like someone's going to take him away.

No fecking way.

I won't sack him but for God sake, wait till Jan.

And also feck transfers before anyone says they're the only reason to jump the gun on a manager who has failed in every single crucial game so far.

Ruthless owners with a vision wouldn't extend, but we don't have those. Our second place finish will bag him a new contract.

If we extend him, it would just signal our ambition. Play for CL places, only to get dumped early on in group stages, and then make a deep run only to bottle SF/F.

Who is going to get him? No need to be in a hurry to extend his contract. I would want him to be replaced with a new manager for next season. No one is available.

So let's see how he performs next season. If same kind of performance continue, replace him the next season as one of Tuchel, Pochettino might be available by then.

Find someone more experienced.

lets get some trophies and back to challenging for the premier league on a weekly basis.

The ex manager experiment didn’t work so lets move on to someone new.

Why wait, he won't become a better manager in January or ever really, he's been managing for a long time now and that's his level.

Till the Glazers go there will be no progress.

Protests are more important that what happens on the pitch at this stage.

What a time to ask this question, yes overall he's improved us each season.

Be hilariously sad when this is announced.

There is no point firing him now but next season you either Wil the PL, CL, FA cup or Carling Cup.

If we don't get a trophy then he has to go. We can't go 5 years without one a pretend there is progress.

Realistically only the Fa cup or Carling cup is winnable

Ole in guys are sure hiding under a rock at the moment. He's a really limited manager when it comes to strategy, he's a good lad, has a healthy dressing room, etc. But we need a coach that can make a team more than the sum of its parts. He's not that guy.

Absolutely not. Let's see how we're doing in the first half of next season before making any more rash decisions.

Theory is that we hopefully have a good transfer window, and then see if Ole can take us up a level after it because a lot of our problems this season have been due to a lack of depth and the poor start due to not being fit enough. If not, let him go.

Tonight was an absolute shambles and puts a glaring light on his limitations.

Should be congratulated on his good job on the club culture and let go. Just not good enough to be a CL level manager.

This, kids, is what we call an example of a rhetorical question.

I wouldn't be in any hurry to renew. There's no doubt we're in a better place than when he took over, however when the pressure is on he consistently gets it wrong. Complete inaction tonight at 1-1 and then in extra time isn't good enough at this level. He seems more than often to field his best players and hope for the best.
