I think the unexpected part is Atletico didn't envision Trippier having a desire to leave.
Haaland knows what contract he signed and what agreements he made, therefore his agent, Raiola, knows this as well. Therefore everyone who is interested in that information, especially the conditions of a release clause, can get it from Raiola.

He’s nowhere near Sancho level right now but as Vickery said last year, he’s a great but raw talent. He’s clearly more direct and has a trick or two up his sleeve. So in that regard he’s more talented than James whos future we’ve yet to decide on. Bringing him back here makes no sense whatsoever. Getting games at a good European club or one of the promoted clubs is a better way to go. The lad has improved steadily and that’s what we can expect from him next season

The reason not to buy Sancho is the money must be spent on a top class central defender and defensive midfield both of who should start when fit. After emergency holes have been fixed in the roof you can have the luxuries you want.

You seem to miss out on the fact that Chelsea are run completely different to us as a club, with Chelsea it's either win or bust - there isn't any inbetweens. There's no stability and the player turnover is massive.
They are a perrenial cup team, chopping and changing their manager based on whether they are under performing in the league or not. Thats fine if you'd like United to be run that way, but it isn't sustainable.
