Also, if I was in charge at Dortmund, I would most definitely look to sell Haaland now and make what, 50-60m more from the deal? They've got the chance of pocketing well above 200m for two players, and they won't need to reinvest more than half of that to still secure CL and build for the future under a very promising manager.

They BARELY made the CL this season, and in the end it was mainly down to other teams around them collapsing at the end of the season. With 7 games to go they were 7 points outside of a CL spot, with a tougher fixture list than those in front.
They were woeful earlier, but Sancho hitting form led them to 7 wins out of the final 7.

Besides, why would Haaland care about Dortmund getting more money for him this season if he can get a big chunk of that himself as a sign-on fee instead in a year.

Chelsea have agreed personal terms with haaland and his agents i.e. riola and his dad. Marina Granovskaia is going all out for him this summer. Chelsea believe they have a free run at his this summer for various reasons which they wont next summer. However hard to get dortmund to sell this summer. Glazers have deemed haaland too expensive a pacakge for Utd.

If he's already agreed terms with them, then he's obviously ready to jump ship now. My view tends to be that it's better to bite the bullet sooner rather than later, i.e. I think Spurs should cash in on Kane, I thought Barca should have sold Messi for shitloads to City last summer, and I think Dortmund would be better off selling two players now who are at most going to be there for one more season. If it's a player already at a top club, then I can see the value in retaining the player for a year (i.e. Hazard, Cristiano), not least when those clubs aren't desperate for cash and/or rebuild (i.e. Barca, Spurs).

Marco Rose would be benefitted by having a tonne of money to reshape the squad in his vision now rather than in a years time. Selling Haaland now will in all likelihood require somewhat of a tactical change, and with Sancho off too. I think a clean slate with plenty of tools in your box (money) is not a bad thing. And they underperformed and had managerial issues last season. Rose, much like Nagelsmann, has gotten more out of the sum of the parts of his teams.

There's no legitimate rumors he's actually agreed terms with any club, not Chelsea nor Real.
He's unlikely to move this summer. They were considering it if Dortmund failed to qualify for CL since he wants to break records, but since they made it he has much more to gain by staying another year and then move next year if a good offer comes in.

According to the rumour mill, what is daddy Haaland and Raiola looking to pocket each from a prospective deal?

£20mil each
So, were he to be sold this summer, it's a 140-150m outlay + the 40m Raiola/daddy + a signing on fee. So likely North of 200m + the annual salary rumoured to be around 25-30m, though that may be lowered depending on the signing on fee.

I don't think any club will go for him this summer other than Chelsea. Roman has made even more money during the pandemic and he's back in love with being a somebody who owns a football club.

If we were to even contemplate this next season, then it's at least 75m + 40m + a signing on fee and making him our highest paid player with a 25-30m annual commitment. I just don't see how we could even attempt such a deal even then.

We should offer Dortmund all the money for Sancho, on the proviso that we get first dibs at Haaland next summer.
??

First dibs doesn't exist, not in this form at least. All that matters is where the player wants to go, and then that/those clubs need to match the valuation the selling club would be satisfied with.

Even if no buyout clause and one club offered €200m, but Haaland didn't want to go there, he wants to go to the club offering €100m, then Dortmund needs to decide if they want the money or to keep the player.

Would love him next summer at United. Linking up with Jadon. This team could be formidable.

This is where I’ll be camped out after we get our answer on Camavinga. We should probably start the transfer negotiations now so we can get it wrapped up by this time next year. ;)

Genuinely reckon we’ve a very good shot with him now we’ve got his bestie and main supply line in. Not to mention OGS. Things are coming together nicely so far this summer.

Abramovich really wants Haaland this summer. Riaola is insisting on a set release clause fee if Haaland were to join Chelsea as its not Haaland or Haaland representatives first choice club.

Maria Graniskiova under major pressure from Abramovich to make this happen this summer.

Riola happy to move him obviously £££ for him, but only spending a few seasons at Chelsea before moving him on again.

Start now and it'll be another 3 years if Sancho is anything to go by.

I listened to that podcast, they claim Raiola and Chelsea have been in talks and that "get out" clause needs to be worked around, and Haaland is expecting to be at Chelsea next season. Or words to that effect, I forget what was said word for word. Just a shame Castles is full of shite
I think a release clause would be our only hope of getting him. If Abramovich is driving the deal, he is the type to just pay what they want.

If City go ahead and spend 100m each on Grealish and Kane, then should Haaland come to the prem this year, it'll be to us.

I still think he stays though

All depends whether or not Roman wants to splash the cash on him this summer for Tuchel because let's face it we all know that money is no object to them or City and they can spend without any worries whatsoever

That is exactly what it will come down to. Without sounding too arrogant, usually when Abramovich is pushing a signing and is even willing to personally fund the deal(s), we get them.

I agree but… some 4d chess….

Dortmund are now rich/their credit is solid so their need to sell is less than it might have been. Think about Sancho last year. They didn’t really want to sell unless it was a stupendous offer and to be fair to them they didn’t budge. They'll want to make CL again next season more than anything, I’m sure they also want time to properly scout the replacement or maybe they are just waiting for Moukoko to get a bit older. He looks like he’s going to be special. I feel like this summer they are going to hang on to Haaland unless it’s a world record fee. If Roman goes for that then… what can you say?

The fly in the ointment is I reckon Haaland and Mino won’t want to go to Chelsea this summer. They’ll wait for the clause and then have all the big clubs fighting it out and see what shakes loose. Cheaper transfer means more options and probably a lot more money for them off the record from the buying club. I’m certain they will want to wait until the Spanish clubs get back in the game and see if Madrid or Barca can offer a million a week or whatever madness they pay their worldies. If the Spanish clubs still can’t deal next summer it’s going to be to us for Sanchez type money.

„feck. But all the best @Sanchooo10 You will be missed.”

Is that feck he is going to that United I hate

or feck, who is gonna assist my son as good as Jadon now, when we will negotiate 2 mln per week with other clubs next year.

Ooooor

Erling want to play with Sancho again next season so It means that i would need to buy myself United kit….

Haaland and Grealish are too players that I would break the bank for.
However, if we dont get Haaland then I wouldn't mind him going to someone like Bayern.
Just not a Premier League club.

Haaland yes but not Grealish. If we get a proper DM in, Pogba on his day is twice the player Grealish is.

It meant to cause confusion, which it has done judging by your post. He wouldn’t have tweeted something similar if United picked up Messi.

Hmm, maybe. We should probably sign Messi just to be on the safe side.

Yeah but Messi has not any connection with his son as Sancho does.
