That was a shocking tackle tbh. He locked his ankle in a scissor, those tackles pretty much always injures the opponent.

Mad that people think the keeper couldn't have saved that
Once he made a step to the right, he didn't have much of a chance.

This is why one of the biggest skills of any keeper is anticipation.

Portugal have a 3-2 advantage in midfield but aren't taking advantage of it b/c the young lad Pahlinha won't get on the ball

People should give Patricio some leeway, yes - he could have done better, but the ball changed direction right in front of him.

Portugal tbh are struggling against the 5 at the back formation again. They like to counter, but the wingbacks force their wide forwards back so they can't counter well. If you play 4-3-3 against 5 at the back you have to dominate the ball and force the wingbacks into a back 5, not into attacking wingbacks. But Portugal don't play possession, so they're creating next to nothing and still vulnerable to the wingbacks.

A better manager switches them to a back 5, they have good enough wingbacks to play that way.

It was very unpleasant trajectory , and extremely powerful hit. Some keeper could have saved it, but it's not a given.

Portugal look very short of ideas going forward. If only they had a top class AM.

I’d get Bernardo + one of Palhinha/Moutinho off.

Rafa + Neves(?) maybe.
