I've read the wages being reported as £175,000 per week.

Missed the here we go moment! Can't believe we've signed him with such relative ease.

Lots of time left to get that midfield sorted.

If this goes through we basically have a Ferdinand and Vidic on our hands. Bloody juicy. Varane will take Rio’s place and Harry will be our Nemanja!

I was happy with just the Sancho signing. Grabbing Varane means two starting 11 slots filled by world class talent.

I know midfield needs looked at but if this is it for Summer transfers then I am genuinely over the moon

So potentially Shaw-Maguire-Varane-Wan Bissaka defence, with Telles-Lindelof-Bailly-Trippier as their back ups. GK may end up being our weak spot at the back, after all the years of being only bit of quality not in defence but in the team as a whole

Yep! Last summer we signed back up players like VDB and Telles and they had zero impact. We all bemoaned the lack of strengthening in the first 11 but now they're really out done themselves.

I think Trippier starts to be honest. He won a La Liga last year and was one of Atleti's best players. They missed him sorely when he was out injured.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
Another good one is when a poster who supports another club from a different league is on here and loads of people question them on a young player in that league taking whatever they say as gospel. If I took a random poster who supported United or watched the Premier League I'd have to filter out all the absolute shite they come out with and wouldn't give a shit on any of their opinions on any player.
 I've made that point before myself. It's like our foreign friends are viewed as though they are all experts in the beautiful game. and we're just British so don't have a full understanding or appreciation of the game in comparison.

We’re getting a world class player from Madrid, in his prime and who actually wants to join us! Unbelievable move and could be more of a transformative signing than Sancho.

I think Trippier would get exploited even more in the PL these days. Caught out of position and without the athletic ability or recovery speed of AWB.

It's ok saying he'd play against the weaker teams when we're on the attack, but even those teams hurt us these days. These full backs don't stack up well at all when you compare them to the likes of Evra and Ashley Cole, as recent examples.

Fantastic signing. If we sign a midfielder now we have a good chance of winning the title next season.

Maguire is closer to Ferdinand than Vidic. Like Maguire and Vidic don’t have any similarities in playstyles or attributes. Varane is a mixture of both but he’s closer to Vidic than Maguire

no idea who’d we get tbh, there’s a few names flying around But most are likely paper rumours.

Declan rice would be the dream but I would happily take ndidi from Leicester if there was a chance. I can’t comment really from abroad players as I don’t really watch the other leagues.
Play for Frenkie de Jong? He's classier than Rice and a similar age, plus Barca are in deep shit and need to sell

Maguire being unbelievably dominant in the air is probably the similarity they're alluding to.

The weaker teams do hurt us on the counter regularly

Everyone was pretty excited by them if I remember right. Especially VDB. Telles was seen as an attacking upgrade on Shaw prior to his upturn in form.

What an outstanding signing. It’s been rumored for a while but it’s still hard to believe it’s actually happened. Virgil aside, there isn’t a better CB on the planet than Raphael Varane.

At the risk of getting ahead ourselves, I’d still like to put out there the possibility of Pogba’s contract holdout having something to do with us finally bringing in would class footballers.
