Hope so but I doubt it. In any case, they are quite different in style. It would have been great to have got Grealish as well but signing Sancho probably ended any interest we had in Grealish.

Very exciting to get Sancho all the same.
Sancho is Hazard level talent, Grealish is great too, but if Sancho reaches his potential he has the chance to be among the best in the world, although it also means, he will probably leave us for one of the two Spanish gaints in future.

Peak Hazard was almost unplayable. Sancho doesn’t look the same sort of player at all. Sancho is a clever, efficient type, more of a team player; could prove to be a great contributor.

In a conversation about who is more “talented” Sancho or Grealish, I’m firmly in the Grealish camp. Will be delighted if Sancho can perform to a level which changes my mind; no reason why he can’t.

Just read in a City Fan website that City have offered £90m plus Morgan Rogers as a package which gets Guardiola out of his ‘ We can’t spend £100m on one player’ quote. No, I haven’t heard of Mr. Rogers either.

Rogers is a youth product. Highly rated with lots of international caps for England. I'm not convinced he's that good though, definitely down on the list of the best players in the City team that won the FA Youth Cup. City only signed him a couple of years ago so if they can use him in this deal it's them Football Managering the system again.

If United starts challenging and winning trophies I can't see Sancho leaving anywhere. That is the upside of buying and bringing UK/Irish players.

Who was the last top player that left for Spain? Beckham left because Fergie basically pushed him out.

There's a Villa fan literally filming Grealish's movements today. Most recent tweets (there's loads of videos on his timeline)

Grealish is class, City will use him like Silva, with variations. Pep can cater to the slight differences. Don't know why people like lying. Grealish is world class and is better than Sancho right now. No shame in that. Let's focus on making our team great and let City worry about City.

I think Grealish is incredible. A real modern day maestro. However, I dont think he makes City any better at all. Just another incredible player in a position they already have incredible players. I guess you can't have enough good players, but at the same time how can you keep that squad happy? It'll be interesting to see if he can keep his discipline on and off the pitch also.

Pep in his interview to Rio said it is almost impossible (for him) to keep motivating the same set of players year after year to go for it. The squad needs to be refreshed on a regular basis and new people should come in in 2-3 years all the time.

I think he does. City have missed Silva and Grealish replaces the part of Silva that made him so deadly under Pep. He may not shine in the way he might have done in a United or Madrid, but he's a definite purchase

I dont think this transfer is happening and he will sign a new contract with Villa. Surprised he hasnt came out and denied hes leaving, must be using the interest in him to get an even bigger contract from Villa.

I just posted a tweet that claims that’s what is now happening but it got deleted as not being a legitimate source. Was a source more known for American Sports to be fair

Very good point in fairness

Good for him, but I wonder how many Kane detractors will call Grealish unambitious.

Would be surprised if he doesn't go. Did wonder on here earlier if that money being spent by them isn't factoring in the sale of Grealish. Then there's the bit of his rumoured position at City being as a centre midfielder, which might be less appealing to him than being more free further up the pitch. If he was joining United, I'd definitely not want him playing midfield, but on the left wing.

They are done, Barcelona are skint and Madrid are a mess, that’s why they are chasing the Super league, they’ll never be able to compete with premier league clubs again when it comes to transfers with the Tv money Enlglish clubs now have.

Every big club goes through a tradition period. These next couple of years it’s Madrid and Barca’s turn.

I think he would stay at Villa for now. He isn't really interested in moving to City as he has always been a United fan. Think he will consider us if we go for him next year or even after that.

He’ll wait for us to come for him next season or January.
You guys sound quite confident. I’d wait a few more days before making such assumptions. For all we know the deals about to be wrapped up any day now.

Maybe they were just waiting for Bailey to get finalized before they allow Grealish to go.

I hope with all my heart that those in charge of transfer strategy at United will do whatever it takes to sign Grealish. He can be the face of this football club for many, many years. If there is even a miniscule chance we can still sign him, we must spare no expense. I promise, he can transform our style of play.

McManananamanaman, Owen, and the white Vieira, Thomas Gravesen. Not many obviously.

I mostly see City's Grealish-bid as a way of pressuring Levy.

Think he is too smart for this however - Probably just called Villa and agreed to try and call City’s bluff together by first letting them negotiate with Villa, before negotiating with Spurs so both selling parties know if there's anything to it and have more power.

Levy would probably be OK with City splashing 100m too on Grealish as it gives him an excuse for Kane not being able to go. "Sorry, Harry, they're just not reaching our valuation of you"

I think Madrid will transition but with Barcelona they are on the brink of bankruptcy. The days of them taking the best players and players dreaming of them is gone.

That’s wishful thinking to be honest. Madrid and Barcelona will always have an allure. Barcelona is one of the best cities in the world too!

If Romano's right and Grealish is fine with both options - joining CIty or staying with Villa then he should stay. No reason to make such a big change in your life if you're like "yeah, whatever".

From the looks of it, down to him. Villa will accept if he decides to leave.

Utd are more attractive to English players than City. I am 100% convinced that if we were in for him he’d make the move, but can easily see him rejecting the move to City.
