Why is this guys opinion important? He’s there to talk about transfer news not give his opinion on the actual sport. He hasn’t got a clue. Nearly everyone media wise is portraying it negatively. Absolutely incredible! Would have been different if City had signed him
For once I'm glad they are being negative. More motivation for Ronaldo. You can count on him to turn any negativity to something positive.

It has begun

Someone tell this idiot that he scored more goals than Lukaku in last 2 season who they were jerking off just last week
Not even remotely surprised.

They would he singing relentless praise right now had he gone to City.

Can't fecking wait.

When the feck is our next game he can play ? I want to see him on the pitch with our shirt already.
Well based on how Ole has used our recent signings I'd reckon 3 games from now? :D

Why do Juventuz hate him so much?
Think Juventus (and Real and Barca) were banking on the Super League money to balance their books. Now it's gone up in smoke they're off-loading

Does it make me look like a dick if I say I'm not massively hyped over this? Not a judgement on the player, because I'm sure he's still capable of putting in good performances, but with Sancho, Rashford, Cavani, Greenwood, Fernandes, Pogba, I don't think that area of the pitch should be priority. I'd rather have put the money towards a DM.

I know it seems spoilt to complain, in a window where we've got Ronaldo, Sancho and Varane, but...that gap in midfield is STILL there.

But...at least City haven't got him!

Imagine Ronnie scoring the headers. Won't need Maguire anymore for that duty

Not sure what surprises me more, this transfer seemingly coming out of nowhere or that some of you are complaining about it.

Greenwood, Rashford, Sancho and Martial now have two world class players to play and train with on a daily basis, one of them happens to be the greatest of all time. How can you possibly be against this transfer?

There's only one United!
Some people are real downers.

Yes, it is a bit of a risk on our part but didn't we sign Zlatan (at his age) and win the Europa League and he scored goals and was a leader too.

This guy has been talking bollocks all day. "City was his preferred choice" & "City pulled out because they didn't want Ronaldo"

City got bullied out of it by us and if United are involved we are Ronaldo's preferred choice all day of the week.

This is the biggest mistake this club can make. We already have an ageing Cavani, now an ageing Ronaldo. What happens to Mason now? Reduced playing time.
I have felt for a while now that OGS is a coward. He keeps giving young plyers 1 or 2 isolated games. Apart from Mason 9 an exceptional talent) he has not given anyone else a long run. Elenga had a great pre season but James is still given time ahead of him, same for Diallo. Even OGS must reliase that that Lingard can never be a part of a PL or CL winning team, so why is he playing. Why was he a sub against Saints while Hannibal was not even on the bench.
I can see in a couple of years
Mason asking for a transfer as he is not getting playing time
Hannibal, Elanga, Diallo doing a Pogba and going off to Dortmund or Juve or Leipzig
We are going backwards not forwards. I have followed United since the early fifties and apart from when we were relegated I cannot remeber a time when I felt we were making so many mistakes as now, given the money were are spending
Alright negative Nancy.

Not one of Hannibal, Elanga or Amad are ready, they are in the process of being integrated into the first team but none will be game changers this year. Mason will get a ton of playing time, no idea why this is a concern. Everyone at the club has known for the last decade that we have a special player in Mason, he will get lots of games and has a year of Cavani and Ronaldo to learn from. Not just football wise but mentality, conduct, how to hold himself.

We've just brought in 2 serial winners. Players who will demand certain levels and push those around them. We haven't had that for years. If you're one down at half time in a final would you rather have Hannibal trying to rouse the dressing room?

We've heavily invested in young players, Ronaldo doesn't change our philosophy or direction one bit but if we have the chance to bring him home, we do it. Simple as that. I'd rather have this next season in the hands of Ronaldo, Varane and Bruno than Hannibal and Amad. You're just putting a ton of hope on those players because it's easy to. Neither have failed yet and you can just be blindly optimistic with them. Both could end up playing for mid table teams in France or Spain for all you know. Neither are anywhere near developed enough for us this season, don't be so naive.

I honestly can't believe I'm having to justify having Ronaldo in your team instead of Hannibal.

Ferdinand just mentioned he knew Ronaldo was coming since yesterday. Safe to say that Sky fecking sports had no clue

What you’re missing is that all those young players will benefit hugely from Ronaldo being here, even if Ronaldo doesn’t deliver on the pitch.

“OUR CLUB”

All those in the transfer thread that were hurling abuse his way too

You do realize that he would go to City without blinking, if United didnt show interest and SAF/ex players didnt have a word, our club, yea right.

Im sure Man City just bid for expensive players to force us to sign them. Lets hope this one comes back to bite them in the arse.

10/10 for the sentimental value. I just hope last season’s dip in form was due to Covid and feeling unloved. He went missing in a number key games for Juve last season and they had to be bailed out by Chiesa.

Some Lakers fans complained when we signed LeBron James. One should never pass up on an opportunity to sign a proven champion especially when it's at a cut rate salary.

Welcome, Cristiano!

I fail to see why to see why Ronaldo putting Martial on the bench would make Hannibal Mejbri leave the club

Shame we don’t have any other attacking talent at the club then..
