Fastest deal of our lives.
All for about £120m.not one, not two, but THREE World Class players in one window. Feck me.
Varane is the only player to not have made a premier league debut?

Think Trevor Sinclair was on Talksport saying what a good transfer it was for City. Whoops!Until about 10.30 this morning all the reports were City - done deal. Then Rio chimed in. What a mental 7 hours, where I did approximately 15 minutes of work.
ffsSaul after this? Neves? Camavinga?
The difference was that Joel Glazer released the funds for Ronaldo and the guys on the football side wrapped the deal up pretty quickly. So, with the all praising, what was actually their part in this deal?
So basically this whole super duper new age structure is not that necessary. The difference was that Joel Glazer released the funds for Ronaldo and the guys on the football side wrapped the deal up pretty quickly.
Contrary to what some people believe, we can get deals done quickly if Joel Glazer allows it which is well documented.
The structure involves many facets within the club, from the youth, scouting and data science department, which were non existent when Fergie retired. So basically this whole super duper new age structure is not that necessary.
Aye, but the part that involves deep discussion and planning regarding new signings probably wasn't overused when it came to Ronaldo...The structure involves many facets within the club, from the youth, scouting and data science department, which were non existent when Fergie retired.
I've explained the above in detail in many posts previously in this thread and one has to look at things holistically when it comes to a football club at elite level.
Ronaldo IMO is a opportunistic signing and likely didn't involve deep discussion. It seems we saw a opportunity and moved quickly to beat out City.Aye, but the part that involves deep discussion and planning regarding new signings probably wasn't overused when it came to Ronaldo...
If only city have Murtough to act quick, efficient, and don’t mess around, they would have got ronaldo.Aye, but the part that involves deep discussion and planning regarding new signings probably wasn't overused when it came to Ronaldo...
I shouldnt have opened this thread as I took a swig of my bottle of Asahi and saw this. Fecking choked and laughed my head off.Saul after this? Neves? Camavinga?

Beautiful.
Maybe not. Think it is more about the perception of Manchester United if he had turned us down to go to City. That is why ex players warned him about his legacy. So saved that and got a player who will offer a lot at the same time.If City was not involved in Ronaldo transfer would we have signed him? Say he was negotiating with PSG?
