Finally a bit of sense
It sounds like we have scared suitors off with our ridiculous £25m valuation. Would happily take £10m for him. He may have been good for west ham but not convinced he will look any good against deep lying defences and we have many better options than him

Yeah, but problem is that most opinions in here is based on rumours and hearsay. Noone really knows if Ole wants Lingard to stay or not, if Lingard wants to stay or not, if the club values Lingard too much or not or if West Ham have the money or not etc etc.

So drawing conclusion on Ole’s character without all the facts its just guesswork at best.
But hey any excuse to undermine Ole

He's not exactly pushing to leave though is he? West Ham's manager and assistant manager openly said they wanted him but he's not looked to move and United have overpriced him as well, especially with a year left on his contract.
You, nor I, know what happens behind the scenes. For all we know WH have decided to go with the other chap instead. For all we know United have overpriced or insisting that he’s taken in part payment for rice. For all we know WH have told them to go away. For all we know nobody else has come in for him.

let’s not over react or get personal against a fellow United nut

Calling someone (the manager of your club and a man who gave this club plenty on the pitch) a coward is literally delivering an insult on his fecking character.

Clearly it's your opinion. A baseless one, but your opinion. That is not disputed.

It is also an insult. That latter fact is not an opinion but a fact.
First let me say that I admired Ole as a player for us. His commitment, willing to stay as a sub and my admiration went even further when I heard he refused a transfer to Spurs and preferred to stay as a sub for us.
What I mean by coward
He continues to use players in pre-season who we knew had no future at United, Pereira, Williams, Lingard. Why noy giner our good youngsters a longer run.

  • Milan are still waiting on Brest to respond to their latest Faivre offer.
  • Miranchuk is one alternative.
    • Atalanta aren't likely to let him go.
  • Junior Messias: Milan will only offer loan + purchase option (which Crotone may not accept)
  • Adam Ounas: Napoli making demands that Milan don't want to accept

Who would be your preferred targets?
Camavinga, Tchouaméni, Neves, Bissouma in that order. I think all are attainable this window (although I feel it is Camavinga himself who is not that interested in joining us rather than the club not wanting to sell).

I know that West Ham openly said they wanted him and every journo has said the price we wanted was £25M which was a £10M more than he's worth with a year on his contract. We have way too many players getting a soft ride, just taking up space for a handful of games a season, Lingard got back in the National side based off his West Ham run yet now he's back to bench warming.

Well I fail to see how it’s his fault that United have over priced him

Think this was coming, Lingard probably needs to do the same really. Hope we can use whatever fee we get for him wisely.
Seems weird to play him yesterday when we could have played Lingard or Elantra. Why play someone whose leaving.

Official: Conor Hourihane joins Sheffield United on loan from Aston Villa.

Hopefully this doesn't rule out Sheffield United from signing Amad on loan.
