How the heck did you allow him to get all those 4 points in. Second he started rambling...

 To be fair it was me that posted a status about Ronaldo on wa but apparently someones not happy. Tried to argue with him but he ends up winding me up. Football einstein is so giddy because Chelsea won the CL last season. The feck did they do to deserve it. I hate them so much.

"PS - Sir Alex, this one is for you..."

They have quite the bond. The conversation they just had must have been something if it's what convinced him to return, which, going off the quote, it looks like. I really hope we see them together on the 11th. Imagine a Varane-esque welcome with Sir Alex on the pitch, too.

I too would have prefered if there was a way for him to wear #7 but it's not a big deal.
Watch what Lukaku added to inter last season in his overall gameplay, compared to Ronaldo. People look at the end stats and he's Ronaldo still scored, but Juve basically played with 10 men when they were out of possession. That's, why they didn't, win the league despite the fact they clearly had the best squad.

Look Ronaldo is still danger around the box especially in the air, but anyone who thinks we are getting anything near Prime Ronaldo is deluding themselves.
Don't think anyone does but you make some horrible points. You're saying that Juventus didn't win the league because Ronaldo didn't press enough

Whoever manages the United social media accounts must be feeling like it's Christmas right now.

Not going to lie, I did cry after reading this. A proper cry like a man does once a while to express his heartfelt manly emotion, not alike to those bitch kind of crying.

He already has, the club value has gone up over £250m since the original announcement.

Any monetary arguments against this one lose straight away.

Devopment is another thing, Greenwood has nothing to worry about. Rashford and Sancho based on that dross the other night need to be the ones worried.

As for the sponsor worry, as his sports sponsors start to dry up his modelling ones etc will go bigger.. are you telling me Beckham is struggling for sponsors since he retired?
No it hasn't. The market cap on the stock went up, the club value is completely different.

I don't know where people are reading this, but this kind of misinformation is so unnecessary, I keep reading it on here for some reason.

My idiot co-worker's (Chelsea fan) thoughts on this :
1. Juventus forced him out because he's being a hinderance to the team, wanted him out last season but didn't happen due to Covid
2. Allegri doesn't trust him
3. Ronaldo chose United because he realized that he's not that good anymore (also the reason why he wanted to take a pay cut). United is an easy choice because everyone at United will stand by him however bad he turns out to be
4. Ronaldo and Bruno in the same team is too much ego, it will not end well

Fecking football eistein.
Hes worried. With City missing out on a striker, Chelsea were outright title favourites until Ronaldo signed. You've gotta love it

Still feels so surreal to see him back. Even if he flops which is a possibility as I don't recall many ex-legends returning to their old club and succeed, I guess many fans are just so happy to see him come back where he played such a huge part in the club's most successful history.
He's scored 30+ goals every season for the last 12 years or something, and most of those seasons have been 40+.
He got 36 goals last season.
The only way he flops here is we dont create any chances for him.

Let's hope he's still quality as he won't do any defensive work, won't accept being subbed, might disrupt Bruno's role in the team and it might stop Haaland from coming here next season.

Ouff that'd be such a fan dream. I live for special moments like that.

I'll probably just cancel all my plans on the matchday and soak in the moment the hours before and after the return. You really only get moments like this as a football fan every few years if you're lucky.

I have zero interest in international football, however something tells me I'll be watching the Portugal game tomorrow.

For those saying you're crying after "Sir Alex, this one is for you...", you do realise that you're crying over a statement written by a PR team? It's really sad.

Who said anything about prime Ronaldo? He's still a player that scored 29 goals in 33 league games last season. You are making things up to fit your agenda

Ads and marketing posts yeah PR team run all that. But you think Ronaldo had no say in his goodbye to Juventus post or that one about joining United? He would have an input or have to pre approve such posts.

You know whats also sad?, i'm sure you can guess.
Why not let Man Utd fans on a Man Utd forum celebrate the return of one of their legends.

Whats really sad is pathetically trying to take away joy from any given situation. What a shallow way to live.

Viva Ronaldo!

Ronaldo might get our midfield moving the ball quicker, because I sure as hell wouldn't want him ranting at me if he is left isolated.

What did Lukaku add when Inter didn't have possession? You know the difference in their pressing stats is almost negligible?

I don't remember reading a single post saying we are getting peak Ronaldo.
