Let’s face it, Lamar Jackson’s arm/form leaves a lot to be desired. He’s prolly in the bottom 5 of starting QBs in terms of throwing ability. His elite level running makes up for a lot of his shortcomings though.
Bottom 5? He's right at the bottom.

What?! Honestly, feel like this is a joke … he might not be renowned for his arm talent but to say he’s bottom 5 in starters, is not right.

Its very true, the man can't throw. You should see him when the go behind on the score line and he has to air it out, it ends in disaster.
But I think that’s also a lot to do with their office as a whole. No one including me is saying he’s some elite pocket QB with a big arm, but I think he’s certainly not the worst or bottom 5. Check out tape from 2019. The problem with your point, in my view, is that you can’t use what happens when they go behind as a barometer. The Ravens as a franchise are one dimensional and that team is simply not built to throw lots of yards and score quick TDs. That’s as much about the team composition and offensive scheme as it is about Lamar’s arm weaknesses.

Dang, didn't expect him to be released. When's the deadline for cuts? Thought BB would keep Flores guessing as long as possible about who would start in Week 1. This gives Jakobi Meyers a serious boost.

Also, Lamar's arm talent is serviceable enough for how the Ravens orchestrate their offense. He'll never be a polished pocket passer but that's just not his game anyway. He was top 10 in completion % in his MVP year, and I remember picking apart some teams all by himself through the air (Dolphins in Week 1 although they were extremely bad that game).

Arm strength is the least of his problem, his problem is he has a riffle without a scope. What i know is, the moment he runs into a team that can stop the run it all crumbles quick, fast and in a hurry. You see him miss receivers in every which way. All this while teams are stacking the box. The guy can't throw.

I guess we can agree to disagree. Like I said, his passing problems in my view are made much worse because of the nature of the offence he is in. And I don’t think he is some elite passer, I just disagree with your notion that he’s the worst in the league and that he can’t throw, both of which I would argue are proven in facts.

Not bottom 5 in QBs. Bottom 5 in throwing ability. Big difference. His consistency, lack of touch, throwing form, etc leave a lot to be desired. He's like a more mobile version of Tim Tebow.

He's a very capable passing QB when his offensive coordinator actually mixes in the right balance of running and passing plays. He needs to get better at deep balls, which will stretch the opposing defense and allow more run options. Otherwise opposing Ds will simply stack the box with 8 players to stop the run.

So basically only Hurts? Hill lost the job because he can't throw, Lock pretty much the same and Tua is a better thrower than Lemar.
That's based on nothing that he's shown in the NFL so far.

If the Dolphins get Watson and he plays like he can they are in the Superbowl conversation.

Won't happen.

And rightfully so, the Dolphins need to give Tua a chance. With the right pieces around him, he can succeed.

Stephon Gilmore and David Bakhtiari will start the season on the PUP list, they'll mist at least the first six weeks.

Well, it’s not fair anymore because Cam got cut. Hill isn’t starting in Nawlins either is he? Feck.

I‘d have added Tyrod Taylor, Ben (like Cam based on how his arm is currently and not in the past), and…uh, I dunno. It’s a busy day and I don’t have time to dwell on it.

I wonder if COVID had any impact on Cam’s cut.
I’m thinking that or Bill just decided Jones is the better fit, get him playing without distractions. Cam doesn’t sound angry about it, so maybe it was mutual.

Top 40-11 of the NFL Top 100 revealed last night. Top 10 in alphabetical order:

Adams
Allen
Brady
Donald
Henry
Hopkins
Kelce
Mahomes
Rodgers
TJ Watt

Think it might end up looking like:
1. Brady
2. Rodgers
3. Donald
4. Mahomes
5. Allen
6. Kelce
7. Adams
8. Henry
9. Hopkins
10. TJ Watt
Right list and a fairly decent guess at the order!

Covidiot happened. You can not take his ambition to prove himself seriously if he does not vaccinate himself.

I was just thinking, how quickly the NFL changes…

2/3 years ago, the NFC was stacked. Now, outside of the Bucs and Packs are there any real true contenders in that half of the league? Dallas maybe. Cardinals as a dark horse. Rams? Seahawks? But they’re a tier below at the moment. Teams like the Falcons and Vikings and Panthers have really fallen back.

In contrast, the AFC suddenly is stacked. Bills and Chiefs probably stand outs, but the tier below is much stronger in comparison to the NFC. Thinking Ravens, Browns, Titans. And some really strong potential in the likes of the Dolphins, Chargers and Steelers.

Don’t think the difference is as big as you are making it out to be as NFC actually has some really good teams as well . Rams are a very solid team and will be much better with a veteran QB like Stafford . Niners had a really weird season with injuries but I expect them to be really good as well . Seahawk’s are always there & thereabouts and so are the saints

Can’t really argue with the Rams although I did call them out. 49ers certainly are also a bit of a dark horse team. The Hawks are usually about but they really are weaker at the moment. And the Saints … they’d need a lot to line up nicely.

I think there is definitely a gulf in quality at the moment. How big is up for debate but I would say regardless the shift in just a couple of seasons is nonetheless significant.

I’d have Dallas nowhere near the top of the NFC. Rams should challenge now they have a QB.
