It reminds me of Tottenham's 'magnificent seven'. The players they brought with Bale's money.143m....we don't know it now but this could be a terrible club transfer window.
Ramsdale for so much money and as back-up goalkeeper is crazy.

When Raphinha came in, Hélder Costa got less minutes and became less useful to Leeds. He was mostly on the bench and rarely completed 90 minutes last season.Wasn’t he one of their better players last season?

Yeah, he did have his moments, but they were few and far in between. For the most part, he would hang out on the right wing and rarely put in a threatening cross or take a risk to get into a goalscoring opportunity. This transfer is great for him and should allow him to rejuvenate his career.Makes sense.
Just remember him scoring and assisting a few on MOTD last year so was surprised.
Do you remember much about the highlighted part @mazhar13? Because I don't. Am guessing another team offered more until they came in with a lower offers & TC rejected the other team?Regarding Everton's possible approach:
Also, Lyon considered bringing Martial/Bailly (or both) on loan yesterday but never formally the club.
- Marcel Brands (Everton DoF) and Guido Albers (Van de Beek's agent) discussed a possible loan spell.
- Everton weren't confident about loaning Van de Beek in.
- Bad history with United (Baines/Fellaini, hijacking Cleverley's transfer out of United, Rojo, Romero)
- Everton wanted United to subsidise Van de Beek's wages.
Sort of...my memory's quite hazy in that respect, but here's what I remember. In the summer of 2014, when he had 1 year left on his contract, United agreed Cleverley's transfer to Villa, and Cleverley was set to sign for them, too. At the last second, however, Everton expressed their interested, and Cleverley rejected Villa as a result. Everton offered a lower fee, which United rejected, but Cleverley's head being turned and Everton's unwillingness to offer more money meant that Cleverley couldn't be sold then. Eventually, Cleverley left as a free agent, so I can see why United wouldn't be happy with Everton about their last-second interference.Do you remember much about the highlighted part @mazhar13? In fact, I even forgot he played for Everton until I checked Wiki just now.
If memory serves he actually still went to Villa on loan anyway (partly, reputedly, because Keane went apeshit on the phone at him) before eventually ending up at Everton.Sort of...my memory's quite hazy in that respect, but here's what I remember. Barcelona are such a weird club. If anything I'd break the bank for Nkunku, not Olmo.Tweet

- Olmo will be one of Barcelona's "main targets" for next summer.
- Deadline day offer to Leipzig: €58m + bonuses
- Leipzig wanted €75m
- Olmo wanted to come back and accepted a 5-year contract proposal from Barcelona.
- Barcelona will aim to complete this by the summer of 2022 now that they know that Olmo wants to come to Barcelona.
They're focusing on him because of his previous spell at La Masia. I'm not surprised that the club will go all in to bring back one of their academy products, especially when the player becomes willing to come back.Barcelona are such a weird club. Be that as it may, that is still a lot of money for a player, who hasn't exactly set the world on fire for Leipzig. They're focusing on him because of his previous spell at La Masia. Barça still do not rule out a departure from Pjanic. His agent is talking to league teams that have not closed the market, such as Russia or Turkey.
Umtiti will continue at Barça and is considered an important part of the project. He is negotiating a pay cut.

Barça has presented a renewal proposal to Ousmane Dembelé.
A meeting with his agents is scheduled for September to try to close the deal. Currently, he has a contract until June 30, 2022.

He was pretty good at carrying the ball forward, and was an important outlet from the right before Raphinha joined. Not sure why they weren't able to fit him or Raphinha ahead of Harrison on the left.Yeah, he did have his moments, but they were few and far in between. Every sport, every field, even this world is like that. Wealth is becoming more and more concentrated.Thats absolutely crazy money, clubs further down the football pyramid are struggling to keep afloat and grassroots is badly in need of support, surely this isnt sustainable.
Absolutely brilliant signings. The icing on the cake would have been a top DM. Maybe January eh.Possibly, let’s see.
If someone has told me before the window that we’d sign Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo I’d have snapped their hand off

Antoine Griezmann affair. The loan to Atlético de Madrid is for TWO years and when the second one ends, that purchase option comes into force, which is NOT mandatory but depends on the games played by the striker in that period of time. Explained well in Marca.

It is true that Barça probed the possibility of signing Dani Olmo as reported by Mundo Deportivo. Leipzig said no. The subject is not finished, not at all. Olmo remains a real target for the future and the parties are scheduled to speak about it again.
