My guess. We tend to do OK in big games (just not finals...). This would be a run that likely sees us through in the CL (would need us to win vs Villareal and the last game against Young Boys), and still in the top 4 of the league.

Two months that will decide how this season will go. Not worried about City at all. OGS has beaten Pep everytime, or did i miss a game? We have to give OGS credit for how he has handled many big games. Weirdly enough he comes up with smart decisions in those games, but can't figure out how to break down Aston Villa with Ronaldo, Sancho, Pogba, Bruno, Greenwood etc in our team.

He won't last that run. We have gone backwards since last season and I'm not sure the players are on board at this point either (a hunch)

Really only four of those games should be 'tough'. The CL games only look tough now because we made such a poor start to the campaign, but it should have been a fairly easy group. Home games against Everton and Arsenal shouldn't be 'tough'. Spurs away should be tricky rather than tough.

Leicester, Liverpool, City and Chelsea should be the only genuinely tough fixtures, but I admit the way we have started the season it's possible to see us making every single one of those games look tough.

I won't be shocked if he pulls out a couple of wins once again. The players always manage to save his arse as soon as the pressure tightens on him.

two shit results، followed by two good results followed by a average result, rinse and repeat. The story of his reign. But maybe this will be the run that finally ends him. the footballing god's have had enough it seems of his never ending luck

We don’t really tend to do that well in big games. In top 6 table last season, we finished 5th, with only 2 wins in 10 matches. We also lost 3 games in UCL.

Are people on this forum really young and inexperienced enough to think ole will be sacked a few games into the season ?
It's in hope, rather than actual belief. I actually think he'll be sacked if we have a bad run, with Ronaldo and Varane and some of the big names in the squad, he has no excuses about needing more, The Glazers will have to act finally.

It's pretty obvious to anyone when people talk about sack, they mean momentum towards it, not it really happening given how much time we took over Mourinho's departure.

Or maybe it's obvious only to the young and inexperienced ones.

I thought early kickoffs after you’ve played on Wednesday were binned. We did it last week and will do it again this week?

Was just balancing out from having a really good record in Ole's previous 1.5 years IMO. The first half of the season were just drab 0-0 or 1-0 games, 2nd half of the season we had the City win, Spurs win, beat Liverpool in the cup, drew away to Chelsea.. was much improved. We do alright in them generally.

No doubt Ole will find a way to get some respectable results out of these hard games, you can see it a mile off.

For me its not about results in individual games, its about trophies now. He's had 3 years, its time to deliver.
For certain. We'll fret about the run, and then we'll do better than expected.

But the best way to deal with this season is to enjoy the days when we batter some chumps, and our attackers fill their boots and try not to get to down at the many days like yesterday.

We all know we won't win anything and most likely Ole is the manager before the manager who next does.

We can't scrape around for excuses like this when we basically rested the whole eleven midweek!

After we've just lost two homes games in a week to breath taking average sides, is that any advantage?
And I'm not sure it's true anyway?

I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.
He will play a back six, Bruno or Ronaldo will come up with some magic we will scrape 1 goal wins, we will set up to counter against so call bigger teams even though we have an equally good squad and Ole will be smiling again with thumbs up by December.

Yeah, I don't get the Everton kick off at all.

The Villa one was different - we'd played in a domestic game in midweek, not CL, and the Villa match was moved by the police / club due to a concert clash and not for TV purposes.

But, yeah, the Everton game being moved to Saturday, 12.30, for TV after we play in the CL on Wednesday night is exactly the thing we were told wouldn't be happening this season. I'm surprised it still seems to be happening, and that I can't see any complaints from Ole or the club about it.

Looks concerning. Many feel like last season's results deceived the actual performances we were putting out - so this feels like the type of run, that might just 'correct' the results in-line with the performances.

No pressure on Ole at all for these fixtures then? These could well be the defining games of his continuing tenure, lets hope his luck holds out because we are not playing well at all.

Does anybody know why we played on Wednesday and Saturday last week and this week?
I thought it should be Tuesday - Saturday and Wednesday - Sunday?

Can’t beat Southampton,Villa or a depleted Everton so the quality teams will batter us especially if Fred plays in all of them. If Ole is in post at Christmas it will be a miracle. No plan B just hoping for a worldly from someone to get us out of a hole. It started well against the Toon but has stalled since then.

Can see us at 5th or 6th place after this run of fixtures. Likely worse. I've just given up on this season now.

Yep, you have to feel this is the beginning of the end for Ole.

Cue 21/21 points.

I am usually pessimistic, but I really can't see us winning any other game than Spurs so I'm sticking by my pessimism.
Dunno if I'm overreacting after the game, but we're so bad lately, it hurts my eyes.
Everton was Everton, the other teams are better at pressing, passing and defending than them. It might be a very unfortunate run.

Autumn to winter depresses me a lot, looks like the seasonally change ain't going to be the worse thing now.
