Enough is enough I think. No other manager lasts this long and Ole’s affiliation with the club has bought him a bit more time than someone else would have had but we have to pull the plug at some point, it’s clearly not working.

How bad is our finishing, seriously? You expect to concede a goal but you have to score a few.

Ole definitely has to go. Yes we got to a certain level with him that was expected but he doesn't have any spark whatsoever.

McTominay shouldn't get another game also after that performance. He's abysmal.

Just scrap the mcfred thing!

This is the reality of Ole staying on as manager, he’s not good enough and more time and money isn’t going to change that. We’re in a battle for the top four this season.

Again we will be relying on chasing pack being not good to get in top 4. City, Liverpool and Chelsea are far better. I am done with Ole as coach.

Why are we so much worse than last season? And don’t say “manager” because it’s the same bloody manager we had last season.
actually, we had similar patches last season. Our 2nd place masked it. We went through a good phase during the middle of season, but performance wise, if you look back it was quite similar as we were abject in lot of home games.

Fair result, Everton were a threat all game on the counter, which with the players they are missing is poor from utd. Midfield needs fixing but VDB in deep midfield is not the answer. lindelof was good, Sancho has an excellent cameo, Mason faded badly after impressing in the first half, and our declining strikers are a bit of a problem.

Good 20 minutes, and then business as usual.

Have we had a shot on target the second half?

'tis a silly place
That moment in the last two minutes, where Ole was smiling and grinning at McTominay on the touchline... I'm not one for analyzing manager's body language but that struck me as more than a tab incongruous with events going on around him and it seemed like, I dunno... not a very smart thing for Ole to do? I thought that was just incredibly strange. Almost like he's trying too hard to portray that the pressure isn't getting to him.

Lack of central midfielders once more gets us in problems. Why is it hard to take freekick when they attacked before goal?

The problem is that the issues we have are not getting addressed. We aren’t learning and the errors continue to repeat on themselves.

Fred can’t continue, but we don’t have another runner in the squad, so what to do?

Not fixing the midfield and not having a proper balance to the team costs us yet again. Quelle fecking surprise

Absolute dross.

How can we have those attackers on the pitch and not fashion a single chance in that second half?

1 point against Villa and Everton at home, this is nothing short of terrible. We’ll most likely make up against the better teams some how, but the end result is of course that we will never, ever win the league with this amateur in charge. I’m just disappointed in the situation we find ourselves in.

I can't take this anymore. He needs to go. There was no need to sub Martial and Cavani at 55 minute and then we created nothing.
I agreed with this, we are ok at that moment.
Ole really out of his depth
Worst thing is the last min or so he could still smile

Shit subs cost us the game.

Cavani should never have been subbed. I would have brought on donny for martial if he was injured and strengthened the midfield.

In the first half when Pogba and Ronaldo were on the bench, we were playing good and fast football, winning the ball, pressing. No zombie football. Good performance, even Martial scored. After the subs all went like usual.

Those two prima donnas should be benched but Ole doesn't have the balls.

Recycling my post from the match day thread:

We're far too 'daydreamy' for our own good. It looks like we think that we have more time than we actually do. We dawdle too much, and then suddenly it's the 80th minute and we're desperate for a goal. The bigger picture is that I also think that we believe we have more games than we actually do. A case of "don't worry about it now, because there's always the next game" and then the problem gets recycled. September turns into October, then it's February, then it's the final month of the season.

It seems exciting at first to get a late, late winner. But, you can't survive on that for the whole season, and then you can't build on that to make a title winning team or a team that's going for the Champions League. There needs to be a plan, and to execute that plan you have to make the players believe in the plan and then you have to motivate the players to carry out that plan. Mentally, we think we're contenders, but if we're being quite honest with ourselves, I think we're stuck on the "find a plan" and "motivate the players" stage.

Anyway, I think Ole has taken us as far as he can.

How much longer must we endure this shite.

Ole must be sacked this afternoon.

Nowhere near good enough.

We are the masters of giving away clear cut chances while we have 20 shots and barely create anything decent.

I became ole out last week. Watching today cemented it. You persist with McFred because according to you both are able to break down play. I mean watching that today I guess you were spot on… fecking bullshit. He’ll blame midweek and he has a point but you can’t set out a team to save your life.

Ole is entirely responsible for this. I'm a big Ole in he got it right with the starting lineup, but tell me why the feck he got to sub Cavani and Martial off ? If he can't handle the big egos in the dressing room and wanna play nice to everyone he can feck off. We'll never win a fecking thing continuing like this. It's not gonna work. I'm very disappointed.

And why the feck was he laughing and smiling seconds before full time????
He's a competition winner having the time of his life. When he finally gets the boot there won't be a single Premier League team clamouring to have him as manager. This is the calibre of man that has arguably the most prestigious job in world football. We are an absolute joke. No other supposed European elite club would indulge this level of incompetence for this period of time.

Sack him this evening. Absolutely scandalous to have this quality play this way. A disgrace that we are where we are. Can't keep a clean sheet. Can't attack. Can't put rubbish teams away. If it isn't coaching what is it? He absolutely has to go and it isn't even a question now look at our quality. Its painful to watch it wasted

The performances this season are just not good enough , last minute penalty saves and last minute goals gross over how poor we have been this season

Our current form is that of a mid table team, we look as far away from challenging for the title than we ever have on the last few years. Just disjointed and error strewn.

Just feck off with this shit. Look at the talent we have in the squad, and we are struggling to win at home against the likes of Villa and Everton. This should be borderline criminal.

We have looked clueless in possession every single game this season. This is not down to the players, I refuse to believe that.

The Ole in brigade will probably tell us that this is all a process, and we need to wait two decades before the children of these players can dominate for us. feck off.

Didn't agree with the first 11. McFred should have been broken up, Lingard should have started, this game was crying out for his energy.

We nearly lost the game to a team that had none of their best players.
