Not disciplined enough, don’t control games. Both players have their advantages but as a midfield two they aren’t an exceptional pairing by any means.

Pogba and Fred aka ‘Pored’ as they are famously known as have been awful together often.

They've literally been our worst CM pairing whenever they rarely start together. Tonight the game was completely open and Atlantas midfield was non existent towards the end so the Pogba Fred cameo is not a reliable example of how it would work week to week.

Last time we played them together was at Wolves, no? Got utterly ripped apart (as we have with Matic-Fred, Matic-Pogba, and Fred-McTominay - because it's not a personnel problem).

Worked today because we were simultaneously dominating and chasing the game when Pogba came on.

Stop it with the Pogba talk, he doesn't have the legs to play in a 2 in the PL. It really is that simple. He can only play in advanced positions.

Fred is not good enough to be the only defensive midfielder, he's shown that this season. We just don't have the midfielders to win anything this season and that would be true even with Zidane. The only hope may be that the Glazers would feel forced to spend on a midfielder or two in January if the bring someone like Zidane in.

Adidas make the kit right? Surely it should be Pred? Give them some boots and the marketing boys will have a field day

Fred and Pogs can play together, the issue for me in the need for Bruno to drop a little deeper to make a proper three....

It's Fratic I think. Pogba should be preferred over McTominay. Fred's essential though.

Potential for a McFrogba midfield 3 too.
I think this might be the way to go. McFred and Bruno leaves massive gaps. We need to start winning some midfield battles. If Bruno plays it should be with 2 forward, 3 leaves us too open.

Not really. They've had some good games and some bad games. Same as McTominay-Pogba, Matic-Pogba and Fred-McTominay. Fred-Matic has easily been our worst, while we've never really played Matic-McTominay.
When have Fred-Pogba been good, name one game, other than a 20 minute cameo tonight in an unbelievably open game. I actually rate them individually but as a pair they are literally the worst combination when it comes to maintaining any sort of control over a game.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

They've been poor the last few times from memory (not surprising seeing as Fred had a terrible start to this season and end to last season), but they had some good games before that. An obvious one was the Europa semi-final against Sevilla in 19/20 where the two of them were, along with Bruno, our best players and it was only our attackers shit finishing that got us knocked out.

Best combo for sure. At least we play football with it. With McT there, we don't play shit

We should go all out for Wilfred Ndidi.

A Didi 'n' Frogba midfield trio.

Exactly. The other options we have (i.e. McTominay & this current version of Matic) have 0 advantages, are actually detrimental to the team as individuals. So, just play the 2 players who actually offer something while on the pitch.
