The players were kept in for 2 hours after the game. They were kept in for 90 minutes after the Leicester game. WTF is going on? Clearly it’s not working whatever it is.

How about when we lost 6-1 to City?
It was like 3-1 to City in the 89th minute and we’d recently just scored. Fergie tried to go all balls out to get the draw but it backfired hence why they scored 3 goals in 90 minute stoppage time.

Much different to being 4-0 down at HT.

Ole should be resigning to be honest. 5-0 at home to Liverpool is our worst result in Premier League history, and it follows 4 losses in 8 games and no trophies in 3 years. Unacceptable.

So, it's mid morning now in Florida...even the rich should be up and working. I totally get the frustration but unless there's been some clear communication and an agreement made with someone suitable to step in, I don't want a sacking. Heaven forbid we get a stand-in from that backroom. Some of us old enough will remember Sir Matt stepping in to steady the ship but I doubt even SAF is the solution today. I'd stick with Ole until the next coach is properly recruited, not airdropped in to change the mood quickly.

I don't buy a lot of this press clickbait shit. Anyone could write this stuff. Sources, people close to etc... It's all just media pressure and expectancy after a poor run of results.

Pretty sure they have to inform the stock markets of any decision early because it might affect the share price. When that happens, we'll know.
Luckhurst from what I recall has typically been a reliable journalist for information. Clearly there are a few in the media who have close sources with the club. The fact the glazers haven't said anything is evidence enough.

They were probably discussing who has to post the apology on social media.

It gets harder and harder with each passing game to be fair. You have to be strong enough to withstand the backlash.

Please. Way too late but if we sack him now, we can still rescue a season.

I hate modern football, none of this nonsense needs to be drip fed to the media before it happens.

Seen this equivocation a lot in the past 24 hours. . . Do better.
Im not trying to equate the two, just pointing out that context is important and that a 5 goal loss isn’t an automatic sacking.

If Ole loses his job it’s not just because he lost 5-0 to Liverpool. It’s because it’s a trend

You'd have sacked SAF after the 6-1 loss? The same loss were we had 10 men at 3-1 and threw players forward and died on our sword?

SAF even said a few years later he'd have managed that game differently now and would've shut up shop to avoid embarrassment.

We did neither of throwing players forward or shutting up shop yesterday, there was just nothing, not one ounce of fight from the players given the occasion.

This is starting to sound like a briefing from inside alright. There really isnt much to consider. Everything pointing to Ole having brought us as far as he can. My only issue here is jumping to the wrong individual because they are available..

They're probably trying to persuade Conte to sign up to Disneyland and he adds a zero every time Ed opens his mouth.

MEN don't know Jack at the best of times, so I'll take this for what it is...Luckhurst spouting his thoughts.

Just don't see how the Glazers or their stooge Woodward have the foresight to make a decision which should've been made last year!
Luckhurst gets a lot right. He was all over Varane before anyone else and he's not the only reporting this. Jamie Jackson has also said that Richard Arnold has cancelled all appointments to hold talks with Joel Glazer. It's clearly under consideration.

Agreed. I think if this story is true the main holdup would be lining up a new manager.
I don't think we will hear anything concrete from club for a few weeks yet, if they are sensible they will hedge their bets and speak with other managers and understand their options before making a decision.

They didn't want us to sack OGS.
That would have been brilliant by them and they could've helped our club by extending the score line, but in reality they dialed back a bit to safely see the game out and not let it get out of hand. To them it's just 3 points all the same on the way to the title.

Is this like the transfers? United considering to make a bid, same way we are considering to sack?

Luckhurst was on the ball with our transfer activity and first to call out our interest in Varane. He and Ogden are the only ones at the moment who seem to hold our club to high standards, the rest like Gary are absolute jokes.

All we're seeing in the media is Conte at the minute. Luckhurst, Jamie Jackson. Romano, Hirst etc all have mentioned him. Hirst has just said that Conte has reservations though.
