Why is CL qualification the deciding factor here? We finished second last season and spent a fortune to improve the squad in order to push on and challenge for the league this year.

It's become clear as day now that Solskjaer is not the manager to lead us to a title, so it's time to act. The results and performances are an absolute embarrassment.

We need to act like a big club for once and not turn into the new Arsenal, where the manager is safe as long as top 4 is within reach.

Sad thing is, though, the board only acts when top 4 is gone.
CL is the deciding factor because of money. Getting into the CL appears to be a relatively easy task compared to winning titles. We appear to have proven we are not yet an Arsenal, although this season seems like it will prove otherwise.

The risks involved of getting to where we should be are just to high for the Glazers who seek stability and revenue. It's a disgrace, but it's where we are at.

We are moving fast. Its going to be Carrick in the dugout against Spurs. Ole's done. Liverpool finished off another Utd manager ffs.
Ole can take Carrick and staff with him.
Fletcher can stand in for one game.

New manager can bring his own staff.

Anyone but Conte for fecks sake,

Mourinho MK2

I’d take Rogers personally, but even then there’s questions if he can do it at the top level, or Zidane

What suggests that?

Mourinho had just been sacked for leaving our rivals 16th in the league.

Conte has just won the league, Inter’s first title in 10 years.

That's just ridiculous
Not really. I didn't expect Moyes, LVG or Mourinho to quit. But after we were sold this myth about Solskjaer being different, thinking about the club first of all and all that crap - I think I have the right to expect more from him.

Sounds like we need him more than he needs us.

The right to expect someone, anyone, to waive 20m or similar because you feel insulted? Would you walk in his situation? Would anyone?

If we replace solskjaer now we are idiots, so much short termism, he’s done a brilliant job assembling this squad, he needs to be given the chance to turn something around.

He needs to handle this pressure, there’s something not quite right and it needs to be fixed ASAP.

3 months is short termism. Not 3 years.

Ole had this season to finally prove himself and has already failed miserably.

How reliable are Sky Italia? Not sold on Conte at all. Feels like Mourinho all over again, an attempt at short-term success with a big risk of long-term damage. Ole spent a couple of years rebuilding the club after that and frankly did a good job. We need someone to build on that, not destroy it.

He's had 3 years. Something is definitely not quite right. It's the manager.

Think some are forgetting OGS brought back the attack. Something neither manager did post SAF. He needs a midfield, how that wasn't addressed during the summer, god only knows.

No manager gets everything they want in the market. No top manager sends his teams out to deliver the performances we’ve seen this season.

He needs a midfield, he knows that, the club brought Ronaldo instead and it will obviously take some time but I believe he can turn it around, as I said a top 4 finish would be fine this season, it’s next season he needs to challenge for the league.

Cause he signed an 80M winger who be doesn't seem to know how to integrate? Seriously, we could have signed a midfielder and a RB for that money.

Is this a parody post? You might as well say next year is our year.

Mourinho and Conte is a lazy comparison. Both at different points in their careers. Mourinho was done as a top manager when he came here. Conte is fresh off the back of Inter's first title in 10 years. Also the systems they play are vastly different.

Strange to see people wanting Rodgers. Liverpool were in a right state when he left and his Leicester side have often choked. I think he’s a great manager but he’d be a huge gamble for a side expecting trophies.

No wonder Ole didn't have time to do any tactics, if he's in charge of scouting and transfer negotiations.

It's not as if there isn't plenty to have a pop at him about, without adding a bunch of stuff that other people are paid fortunes to do.

Mate.

I'd have loved Ole to be the right man for the job as much as anybody, but he's just got bummed 5-0 at Old Trafford by a Liverpool side that didn't even have to try - they just actually scored the multiple sitters that every fecking team that has rocked up to the place recently has been presented with.

It's not an isolated game. It's not that he hasn't had time. He's 'turned it around' briefly multiple times before and we're back to looking like clowns again two weeks later without fail.

Because our manager prioritised other areas this summer and wasted £40m on a midfielder he doesn't play last summer. Crazy isn't it.

"He's done a brilliant job building this squad"

The most overused and infuriating bs being spewed around by our fanbase along with the word "hipster manager"

Has he really built that good of a squad? Varane, Sancho and Bruno were all good signings but are the rest really? Our £50m right back is offensively handicapped. Our world record CB signing have half the time been good and half the time looked like a proper mug out there. He shat on Donnys career and he offloaded James within 2 seasons out of regret of even signing him. Telles barely gets used and have practically had no impact at all and Cavani & Ronaldo will soon be gone either way. Pogba will likely be gone on a free and the midfield been completely ignored during his entire 3 years.

Someone please enlighten me why this parroting about him building a good team is constantly being thrown out about 500 times a day? I do give him cred however for trying to get rid of the ones not good enough.

This is why I’m done with you Ole Disciples, you’d have the club languishing just to say you stuck with a guy that’s proven to be out of his depth.

‘Short termism’. . . ‘fixed ASAP’, give it a rest.

That would be Ole as manager.
