I’m on board with that too - but he can’t go into the Tottenham game after today. They’ve made the position untenable. Stick Fletcher or Carrick in charge and give Ole some dignity. It’s completely unfair for him to face the media after this stuff. It’s Steve Bruce mark 2.
So someone completely different to Ole.
Might get a tune out of DVB

Well Ole was right after all. "We're so close" so close to a fecking meltdown. Better resign and leave with a little dignity.

It’s probably an accumulation of stories/little excerpts that they can now put into one piece. Don’t need to be a journalist to see theres clearly little enjoyment between Ronaldo and Greenwood playing with each other
Ya. Some of them maybe obvious. But I somehow don't find it believable when papers (not necessarily in this case) start posting stuff as facts hiding behind "our sources"
Many of them always seem to be stories created after looking at the body language of players on the pitch.

Like the VDB chewing gum thing. Everyone and the dog were talking about how VDB was sitting for crunch talks with the manager/board the very next day. And 2 weeks later, there are no crunch talk results they got to report.

Sigh... what did Ole expect?? :annoyed: Losing 3-1 away to Liverpool was bad enough to get Jose sacked.

Losing 5-0 at OT? He should be glad he got to do the post-match interviews.
Delusion is strong with United managers, remember Moyes and LVG.

Baffling to see his name mentioned unless it's a discussion about who wouldn't suit us.
You don't think he'd thrive and try to change his game. To be amongst the likes of Pep, Klopp and Tuchel?

There really isn't anyone left who is young, versatile and capable of upsetting.

It's not a question of choosing one over the other though is it? Why can't Mason improve his decision making and pass more? The all time top scorer just says what some of us have been saying for months only to get ridiculed by so called "top reds'. Greenwood has been awful as a team player. Cavani's body language last season, Martial's and now Ronaldo's complains are spot on.
Yep. Cavani and Ronnie are always having a go at him, he’s selfish but it’s honestly down to how we train. Rashford is the same. When the strikers are near goal it’s just blinkers on, head down and shoot.

Sancho needs to have a run on that RW, his instinct is always to pass and progress play, not just step over and get a shot away.

Ronaldo was better, agreed but the million step overs before losing the ball would've been frustrating for forwards.
Mainly it was crossing after the run was made through being over elaborate so the striker had to return to a static position and made it harder to get space. Especially frustrating after playing with Beckham who was the opposite.

He was looking to create space for the cross and find the striker at least but needed to be more decisive. Greenwood is just being greedy, which is frustrating because he's got the vision, composure and technique to be creative.

BBC Sport understands an increasing number of players are starting to lose faith in Solskjaer. They don't trust his tactics and feel he is out of his depth compared to managers at the bigger clubs, namely Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel.
That's a damning article, even if he stays on it would just be the beginning of the end for him.

I mean Rashford is clearly more greedy than Greenwood with worse decision making and finishing. But yes let’s all pile on the 20 year old who’s been our best attacker this season.

The leaks to Simon Stone are quite telling mate. Stone is reporting that the players feel Solskjaer is out of his depth in comparison to Pep, Klopp and Tuchel. Theres also claims about Ole indulging a number of players and not making best use of the squad at his disposal . There's also growing concern amongst the players when it comes to the lack of opportunities Donny has got, when the players feel he's impressing in training.

I'm not sure how he survives after such leaks which seem to indicate the players have lost complete trust in him.
Okay, thanks for that mate. Hopefully, you’re right. I hope the board are decisive this one time and pull the plug when the season can still be salvaged.

Only youngster who's become a mainstay in the last 3 years is Greenwood, so don't see why it's such a pressing concern to them now.
Because transfer fees are only going up and as a counter they have invested heavily in youth scouting and the academy so it would fit in with the strategy.

Why can’t Ronaldo - the much more experienced player - show some good decision making and pass more?
United fans mock the club for living in the past, but then have a go at a young and talented player because he refuses to be a servant of a past it Ronaldo.

Hello there, Mr. Ten Hag.
Personally think he would be the right manager after the likes of Pogba, Ronny & Edi have moved on whereas right now despite the reservations I have on his style Conte will at least get them into some kind of structure then go from there

This is the hill I'm willing to die on.

Football Gods if you are real, please, please let our board bring in Ten Hag. At the very least he will try to create a semblance of a team that plays attacking football and actually has a plan.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is also thought to have become frustrated by some of Mason Greenwood’s decision-making and reluctance to pass in goal scoring positions."

Thank feck for that.
Of all the so called leaks

You could translate it to "Cristiano Ronaldo sees himself in Mason Greenwood" and it would technically be true as his colleagues would say exactly the same of him in 2004.

Which will be difficult if we keep restricting ourselves to out of work managers waiting for the first big club meltdown.

Yes we can’t get Nagelsman or Klopp et. al but feck me why can’t we think outside the box!? We’re happy to piss away £80mil on a man that’s done nothing in the game - we’re going to feck this up again.

See you all in 3 years. . .

Always had an inkling that they still have a massive hard-on for Poch and have regretted not taking him when available. As much as I'd like this leak to be about Ten Hag, I think more likely we'd do a deal to bring Poch in the Summer than have the foresight to bring in someone as exciting as the Dutchman.

Fletch to see out the next 3 matches followed by Conte after the break makes sense unless Carrick and McKenna are involved too. Those two need to pack their bags as well.
Conte won’t want to work with them dummies surely he will bring his own staff.

Rangnick til the summer and then Ten Haag + Rangnick as DOF.
I want Conte now (he is a better manager than Ragnick) but I would be delighted with this. We won’t win anything with Ragnick, but he is a very good coach. And he would be a brilliant DoF.

I don’t think we should give one moment’s thought to Pogba, Ronaldo or Cavani in making this decision. They are the past. We should be thinking about the future.

It is refreshing to see that there is at least a possibility our board might not be as rash with this decision as the mob would have them be.

Let us hope anyway.
Hope so as well. You can't kneejerk that hard despite the loss against Pool. If no permanent / caretaker managers are available, they should wait until they get their man.
