Conte? Welcome to dull football and 10 men behind the ball. In all honestly if Ole doesn't turn it around and i really hope he does, then Rodgers is the only man for me.
Yes, In the Athletic ArticleThat is said in some article?
We're risking another thrashing against City and Spurs on their day could damage us. Is it really worth it just to give a new manager an easier start?I think it's obvious they're waiting to get passed Tottenham an City then he will be gone.
Conte can't take charge properly in 3 days. All about the right timing.
Jesus Christ. If that isn't damning nothing is.Yes, In the Athletic Article

" Solskjaer asked his team for their thoughts on the issues causing United to leak chances week after week. More than one concluded that the answer was the man posing the question."
Yes, I believe he wanted to leave mid-december when we really were in freefall but woody convinced him to day.A repeat of the van Gaal ending where he knew he was gone but the board let him see out his final days. Shocking treatment from the board - they need replacing as much as the manager.
Graham Potter? Surely not. What has he achieved in his career to be considered for the United job? From that article it says we are in for either: Conte, Zidane or Potter. None of them are even remotely similar to each other - what is our strategy here?
It’s likely total bs and carrick/mckenna in self preservation mode as they bid for future careers outside the club but this is still funny to imagine this circus.Staff have also lost faith. I read somwhere (i'll see if I can find the link) carrick and Mckenna are frustrated with him. They plan the training sessions and prepare the team for a 4-3-3. They believe this is the best formation that will give us better control in matches, but Ole and Phelan then decide to do their own thing for match days and stick with the 4-2-4.
Im fine with waiting for the international break for a new manager, but as soon as those stories about Ole came out his authority evaporated. Keeping him on is almost harsh at this point, he’ll be slaughtered in the press and by oppo fans, he’ll be a laughing stock. Better to switch to a caretaker for the next few games til the break. No one blames a caretaker for not doing the business.Who they replace Solskjaer with is a big decision, they should take careful stock of all their options. Which means they should be talking to more managers than just Conte atm, seeing who is interested, what their perspective on the team is and what their plans going forward would be. Even if Conte is who they ultimately go for, taking a little extra time to make sure he's the best available option is fine.

Not a chance in the hell Ole is in charge for the Spurs game, bet my pinky on it.I don’t see how he can still be in charge and face the media Saturday after all the leaks that have taken place and the club not supporting him yesterday and barely supporting him now.
Interesting if you can find the article to this, because I know McKenna in particular was once a very highly rated coach. It seemed odd unless him and Carrick are scapegoats in this.Staff have also lost faith. I read somwhere (i'll see if I can find the link) carrick and Mckenna are frustrated with him. Christ. There's no way he can recover from this. The dressing room is too far gone.Yes, In the Athletic Article

You think they have a strategy? Wishful thinking. From that article it says we are in for either: Conte, Zidane or Potter. None of them are even remotely similar to each other - what is our strategy here?
You’re completely right. His man management has been absolutely terrible, he has stabbed so many players in the back it’s ridiculous. Those players don’t like him mate. What will he be proving. You think they are going to run for him

Agree, I thought the same thing originally after the Liverpool defeat, our fixtures also get easier after the international break, it's a good time for a new manager to come in and get comfortable with the squad. However, after the player leaks yesterday, I don't know how he controls the team, we're basically forfeiting the next 3 games for no reason. Important games as well I might add. Spurs have their own problems so we might be ok but Atalanta and City will be embarrassing for the club.Im fine with waiting for the international break for a new manager, but as soon as those stories about Ole came out his authority evaporated. retiredWhere's Guus Hiddink when you need him. He would be perfect for a caretaker.
Feck off with that crap. Norway already have a much much better coach who has a clear idea, a plan, and actually knows what he's doing. Unlike Ole.There is a talk that Ole might leave Utd and become coach of Norway with darren fletcher being care taker manager
The chance to challenge for the league is pretty written off now. As for top4, it's not guaranteed, but we're within fighting distance even if writing Spurs and City game off. Not a nice thing, but better than rushing to appoint somebody you may soon regret.Let’s also not even give a new manager a fighting chance by keeping Ole by wasting the precious points.
Does it matter? all three of them are better then Ole either way.You think they have a strategy? Wishful thinking.
They have no idea. Clowns of the highest order.
I suppose it’s optics though, If a new manager comes in only has a few days if that to work with the squad and then gets pasted by Spurs and City, it’s not going to look good. I mean most reasonable people will be aware it will take a few weeks to get his tactics across but, imagine the reactions on the CAF if he gets pasted by City. We're risking another thrashing against City and Spurs on their day could damage us. Is it really worth it just to give a new manager an easier start?
You have surely by now realised we don't have a strategy? How do you expect people that barely understand the sport to have a strategy? It doesn't matter one bit to them if we have 90% possession and create chance after chance or we're camped in our own box for 90 min hoofing the ball to Rashford. From that article it says we are in for either: Conte, Zidane or Potter. None of them are even remotely similar to each other - what is our strategy here?
Yeah, I also read the players were not impressed with the training sessions which those two oversees. It’s likely total bs and carrick/mckenna in self preservation mode as they bid for future careers outside the club but this is still funny to imagine this circus.
Well if we sign Harry Potter it will truly be magical in the theater of dreams. Still confuses me to hire a former quidditch player to manage a football club. From that article it says we are in for either: Conte, Zidane or Potter. None of them are even remotely similar to each other - what is our strategy here?
Conte in 2 seasons won the league and FA Cup.Conte? Welcome to dull football and 10 men behind the ball. In all honestly if Ole doesn't turn it around and i really hope he does, then Rodgers is the only man for me.
This statement is wrong though as we could easily sack Ole, give the next game or two to an interim and then appoint the manager in the international break. Ole should be gone.I suppose it’s optics though, If a new manager comes in only has a few days if that to work with the squad and then gets pasted by Spurs and City, it’s not going to look good. We know there will be people jumping on his back instantly. The press will be up in arms as well.
Even if we get Conte, who is clearly keen, the best we could hope for is a modest change in 10 days coaching. The problems are structural as much as they are about attitude. Unlike with Jose, there isn’t a horrible toxic atmosphere so we’re less likely we’ll get the big bounce we got when Ole took over. Back then the players looked like they were over the moon just to get rid of the manager, this time I think it won’t be so uplifting.Agree, I thought the same thing originally after the Liverpool defeat, our fixtures also get easier after the international break, it's a good time for a new manager to come in and get comfortable with the squad. Conte got a pasting against Arsenal and went on an amazing run. The sooner a new manager is in, the better.I suppose it’s optics though, If a new manager comes in only has a few days if that to work with the squad and then gets pasted by Spurs and City, it’s not going to look good. The only man in world football?Conte? Welcome to dull football and 10 men behind the ball. In all honestly if Ole doesn't turn it around and i really hope he does, then Rodgers is the only man for me.
I don't think it's worth it at all. We're risking another thrashing against City and Spurs on their day could damage us. Is it really worth it just to give a new manager an easier start?
