Their transfer activity since 19/20 has been disastrous, if you exclude Hojberg and Reguillon to some extent.

Few reliable journos saying their moving for Conte already.
They already tried that, Conte turned them down as he was not convinced by the project. And there were some disagreements about back room staff. Conte will want guaranteed investment in the squad, he will not be dictated to like say Nuno, if he gets a whiff of Levy going back on his word he will simply walk like he did at Inter giving zero f*^&s. I dont think Spurs can match Conte's ambition ultimately, he wants to be winning things, not struggling for a Europa league place, which is about where that Spurs team is now.

If they sack Nuno it is back to looking at the likes of Gattuso, Fonseca, Howe, etc. Was rumoured even Rodgers and Potter turned them down as they were happy with their current projects. Im assuming it will be Mason back as the caretaker coach if they pull the trigger on Nuno. Im not sure if that is an upgrade or downgrade tbh.

We all love United
They'll go for Eddie Howe i reckon, and probably the only available manager who will agree to to the job out there besides Fonseca

There is no reason why Moyes would quit West Ham to go to Spurs, It's not even a lateral move at the moment.
Spurs are underperforming and West Ham are over performing. They’re a Antonio injury away from being where Tottenham are at. Spurs recruitment has been good for quite some time. The Kane sale will still happen, wouldn’t be surprised if City go in for him in the January transfer window. They need two strikers anyway, let alone one.

Koeman would 100% go for the job as well

You will have to explain to me how Spurs recruitment has been good. It appears to be quite poor to me.

Didn't they just beat us without him? I agree Tottenham is a step up, but West Ham is slowly becoming a good club.

Your off your head if you think Moyes would go to Spurs

He’s had a sting of terrible moves recently Moyes

United
Sunderland
Sociedad

None have done him any good, yet now he’s found a team he’s flying with….with a decent project, excellent players, big Club, you think he’ll leave all that for Spurs?? After all he’s been through recent appointment wise???

Spurs is a club in absolutely turmoil with an owner that has zero ambition and players that are wanting to leave, one of them the star man in Kane.

Football is never clear and straightforward

But it is clear and straightforward that Moyes is never leaving West Ham for Spurs.

You could put your life on it and be able to sleep easy at night

Literally no point. As I said in another thread, might as well go for Guardiola, Klopp or Zidane while we're at it.

He's an incredible manager but just very clearly the club and him are not a good fit at present. We're at the end of the cycle and need to start from fresh, with young, hungry players and a return to the recruitment of old. We've hopefully seen some signs of that with Romero, Emerson and Gil (in terms of the type of player, as opposed to me making a judgement on how good/ bad they've been) but the job will take quite a few windows now I think and someone like Conte won't tolerate Levy.

Koeman would but he’s an awful manager who treats players like crap. His tactics are poor, he played Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a right-back in a match once.

I agree with most of this, Conte is a great manager, but he will want guarantees about investment in the squad and carte blanche over who plays and who goes out the door. He will not be a 'yes man' like Nuno is/was, and will walk out if Levy tries to backtrack on the contract he is putting on the table. I would honestly be surprised if Spurs land him as he will have specific demands and ambition that Spurs just cannot match in their current state.

I dont even think Potter or Rodgers would move, or Moyes for that matter. Not because of their dislike for the role as Spurs manager, simply due to the fact they are all currently quite well established in their current projects.

I see Spurs are another club who do the right thing and sack their under performing manager. Would be funny if they got Conte.

What are Spurs fans hoping for exactly? They got giddy because they overachieved with Poch. Despite their poor form, they are 8th, 2 points off 5th and ahead of teams like Leicester. Sack the manager, it will be the same. They have a disaster in Levy and also have Kane who doesn't want to be there.

Having watched Wolves play under him, I can safely say they were one of the worst teams to watch in the league regardless of the opposition. They played horrible football. Looks like Spurs players and fans don't like it either. Levy sure does make some stupid managerial appointments.

They aren't going to win anything. It would be an ideal job for Eddie Howe to come back in. He'd get them playing decent football.

One of the most bizarre appointments Tottenham have made. He’s just not someone you associate a spurs manager with and neither was Mourinho to be fair.
He was like their 27th choice, wasn't he? If a guy is that far down the list of candidates, chances are Levy probably didn't even want Nuno, hence why he's happy to sack him 10 games into the season. He fecked up the search, the team was still left managerless with the new season looming and he had to go with someone.

He needed sacking but where do Spurs go from here? Was he not like 7th choice?

They'll not get a better manager unless Levy can promise transfer money.

Worst top 6 managerial appointment in the last decade? Him, Moyes and Arteta are quite close IMO.

Surely Conte won't go to Spurs now after turning them down in the summer? Any links now surely has to be to put pressure on Utd

The Club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties.

Fabio Paratici, Managing Director, Football, said: "I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision.

“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”

A further coaching update will follow in due course.

He takes it, I think. After Levy sacking Mourinho to bring attacking football back, they hired a Mourinho-Lite with none of the good and all the terrible on field attributes.

Arteta is turning things around - relatively speaking anyway

Since 19/20 ? You are being too kind to Pochettino - their transfer activity after 15/16 has been disastrous. They signed Alli, Son and Alderweireld the summer of 15/16 - and after that it's mainly been crap.

This is probably good for us, depending on who they appoint next. When Spurs go from being dismantled by us to moving above us in the table, the lightbulb in the Old Trafford boardroom will surely be switched on.

Still finished 8-th twice and made Arsenal more mediocre than they were before. Don't let the Leicester result fool you, they got battered and Ramsdale saved them.
