I hate how we keep it going longer than we need to every time. It's obvious what's going to happen. We'll do alright sometimes, even over a short period. Other times we'll be dreadful. If we've not moved on from that by now and built something better what exactly are they expecting to happen in the next few months?

I'm convinced Ole is staying the entire season.

We lost 5-0 to Liverpool at Old Trafford after a string of embarrassing results/performances throughout the season.

If he survived that, he will survive anything.

We truly are one of the worst run clubs in the world. what’s the use of keeping Ole when we know how the season will play out if he continues.

Ole's a genius. Gets the Spurs manager sacked so they appoint the manager that is favourite to succeed him.

It's dawned on me that losing 3-0 at home to us is more of a reason for a manager to get sacked for Tottenham than losing 5-0 at home to your biggest rival is for Man Utd.

If ever you wanted proof that standards have plummeted at this football club, look no further.

If anyone ever doubts we're well on our way to becoming Arsenal under Wenger from his last years, the last few games is all the proof you need.

With Newcastle (and maybe even WHU) coming into the picture, I can easily see us finishing 8th in 5 years under the Glazers.

Ole is nuclear proof!
Has Neville jumped all over Spurs for sacking Nuno four months into his tenure? Or does he only defend his friends?

Was delighted we won in the weekend but it'll ruin our season and potentially short term future.

We needed to move on from the Ole experiment

Arsenal under Wenger wasn't as bad as our situation. That man had to work with a limited budget and regularly lost his best players to rivals. Ole is working with a blank chequebook and still has us playing like a Sunday League side.

If Conte goes to Spurs and we lose to City at the weekend this place is going to go to next-level depression

This is why I would never criticise a fan for wanting short term loss for longer term gain. Lose the battle to win the war. It’s a bit like what the more optimistic of us think the club is doing - taking the immediate loss on Conte to bring in a more desirable target (Rodgers…) at the end of the season.

They also won the FA cup every other year and really should have won the league that year Leicester won it.

Taking all that into account, how this guy is still in a job is football crime.

Think it's safe to say that we're going to go around in circles for a very long time.

Unless I'm proven wrong and we're getting sorted with a managerial appointment in the summer, this is going to be a long and dreary ride.

I just can't stomach Ole anymore. He can live on in my memory as an important player but I would like to completely erase his tenure as manager from my mind. Put it the recycle bin with Moyes.

Another long trophless season ahead. So many things wrong with this club, I can't with any positivity see anything improving in the near future with the people we have in charge and the mate rates media stuck in some United dreamland of old.

As soon as PSG get dumped out of the CL and Poch gets the sack we'll contact him about starting in the summer and Ole will have to play out the season as a dead man walking

I personally don't think Rodgers will be s good appointment.

Think it'll be another misguided misstep if we go for him

Spurs showing more ambition than us. Manager can't perform, out you go.

Here we are still talking about 3 years project and no where near the finished product to challenge for top honors and attacking football.

No club will give a manager 3 years of mediocrity except us.

In terms of winning the top honors it probably would. In terms of vastly better football and perhaps an FA Cup it's a guided step. Surely most fans would take that over what we're currently experiencing over doing absolutely nothing.

Spurs is 2 points below us but sacked the manager in 4 months because of negative football and results.

Here, we keep Ole even after 5-0 humiliation by Pool. Ole 3 years of negative football and 500 mil spent are still safe with us. How far our standard has dropped.

Why? There is a top 4 manager in the world available right now. Just get him

Agreed but it looks like Spurs are about to sign him so we're once again feeding off scraps when we inevitably suffer another embarrassment in the coming weeks. Scraps that are still superior than what we have.

No, we will be fine. We are used to losing world class managers to rivals.

Glazers and Ed can't act fast enough or worse can't convince top manager with their football vision.

It's just brand management. Somewhere there's an MBA advising Woody and the board that our main differentiator is focus on tradition, stability and the 'Manchester United way'. Ole ticks those boxes. Firing underperforming managers does not.

We need to think of the sponsors people. Image is everything. Better to lose and stay on brand than move into modernity and win.

We're a nostalgia play, get used to it.

At this point, you have to look at the fans. Put the fecking pressure on, stop with your ridiculous notion of United way and romance with an era that's gone.

Or else we'll see Liverpool, City and Chelsea surpass us in the next 20 years.

It’s funny but I’ve been thinking about Oles spending a lot since Saturday. We all credit him for assembling a good squad but when you don’t play them I think any credit goes out the window. The fact he has a squad he can’t use makes me think it’s not him making decisions about players. Which means the thing we are crediting him with is not founded and given how the rest of it has gone it’s amazing he’s still in a job.

I’m just sick of him now. We’re the only club that can get battered at home and still trust the process … which is in year 4 with no real direction.

I am starting to understand why Manchester United fans want Manchester United to lose while Ole is the manager....

Ole got 3 points last game but Spurs replacing Nuno with Conte is worth a lot more than 3 points.

Not like I agree with it but the club obviously didn't fancy Conte, all the briefings said as much. Whoever our target may be, they must already be at a club and unattainable until summer. Which follows on from what Ornstein said.

It's crazy how happy they are to just write off an entire season. People say all they care about is the business aspect, but I can't understand how that's even true considering it is in no way beneficial for them to have an amateur as a manager and miss out on Champions League football.

Yup, this is what needs looking at. Amazing how people actually try and justify wanting your own club to lose. These people don't deserve any success.

supporting Ole makes you deserve success eventhough you wont get it?

I was happy with the win but that win does come with a high cost if it means that Ole stays and Spurs get one of the best managers in the world.
