Is there any point scraping through to get bukkaked in the first knock out stage?
Can only hope we scrape through and then by the time we've got to the knockouts in a few months time there is a new manager in place.

A draw was probably a fair result but United would have been the architects of own downfall if they lost that game with the Degea error and Maguires hopeless effort of playing offside. The only other decent or clear cut Atalanta got came from a Pogba.

Ronaldo some man for one man.

Won’t come up against better striking performances than Atalantas number 9 tonight

Zapata work rate was excellent. We have no player that can play with such a commitment like him.

Italian team play acting is really something else. Slight touches they will roll around the pitch.

How did we get a draw out of that game? We need to get onto a winning streak soon or our season will be over before boxing day.

Would be interesting to see us play v.d Beek in midfield instead of Pogba who doesn't care anymore.

Solskjaer just keeps surviving somehow. It’s remarkable

Bailly and Ronaldo were amazing.

A team of serial underperformers (players and coaches) rescued by two bits of magic from Ronaldo. It's not good enough but nothing will change.

Why do people keep saying robbery?

Sure we got a late goal but Atalanta were no better than us.

It's nothing to be proud of, a draw against that lot. But it wasn't undeserved.

Atalanta are a good example of what a proper coach can do at a well run club with bang average players.

Need I remind people Koopmeiners (no 7) cost 14m and looks twice the player as our 100m record signing?

Bad performance, good result, Ronaldo getting us out of jail. Story of the season.

All over the place, terrible tactics, no style of play. Massive point though, we should have had all three so I see as 2 dropped.

I have no idea where we would be without De Gea and Ronaldo this season. Brilliant finish hy Ronaldo, 36 year old has 9 in 10 for us. It's scary to see what numbers he would produce if we had a proper manager.

I have firmly moved to the Ole out column. Took me a long time to get there. The Liverpool 5-0 put me there. Tonight I saw the team sheet and said before kick off that what got us the win against Spurs was the workrate of McTominay, Fred and Cavani in winning back possession quickly, and with Pogba back in the team, we’d be fecked. And lo and behold there it was.

why is it that an armchair chump like me can see that ahead of time and our overpaid manager cannot? Shambolic.

saved by Ronaldo tonight. The writing is on the wall.

If only we could play Nuno's Spurs every week.

Cristiano Ronaldo though. Those who ridicule the 'individual brilliance' thing - surely you get it, at least a little bit, deep down?

I mean we’ve played worse but it was pretty bad. Ole should be phased out. We’re going to have to see if Ronaldo can carry us to a trophy.

Ole absolutely has to go, but the board will only look at the results though

Oh look BT saying how we don't have a plan. The female pundit saying how we can't keep being bailed out by Ronaldo. I completely agree

Great performance tonight from the boys, and a tactical masterclass by Ole! Expecting us to just coast through this very difficult group like days gone by is unrealistic. This is not the medieval times.
This is a great bait you have there, buy no one is falling for that.

Ole should go and thank Ronaldo after this game. I haven't seen a manager that has been consistently saved by his big players as much as Ole has. His team is significantly better than Atalanta, yet we made them look better than we are. Regardless, it will not be pretty when we get out of the group stage and go up against significantly better teams that we are facing. It will be like the aftermath of the night in Paris unless things changes.

Happy with the point but really disappointed with the performance. Really thought we'd kick on after the first goal. Bailly was immense though I can't tell if he was caught too high or whether Maguire who could see everything should have stepped up. I'm guessing the latter since Maguire was really poor on the night. Ronaldo's second goal was the first shot on target since his first goal (?!?!?). Yuck.

Atalanta work like Trojan’s and didn’t give us an inch of space. Difficult game, to many individual errors in our team.. Bailly was immense and thank feck for Ronaldos finishing. Had we lost tonight which was close knifes would have been out for Ole…

Ronaldo's goalscoring is unreal. The team look so shaky and I don't want to drone on after an ok result but I fear the season going up in flames if we don't make a managerial change.
