As soon as boys have the ability to train one and two touch they probably do it at every practice United have no ability to keep the ball at all under pressure. That's why it's so easy to press them.

We'd be 5-0 down with Henderson in goal. He's not a great shotstopper to say the least.
I won't hold my breath waiting for evidence of that - DDG's confidence in the defence is shot and he's got into a habit of letting in goals

Such lazy football. Fernandes for all his creativity can be such a liability giving the ball away and not closing players down in our final third and Shaw is starting to look like a one season wonder. He's been shocking for a long time now. Wan Bissaka on the other hand is a no season wonder. So bad.

I think we’re honestly past the point of serious player analysis at the moment. It’s just a when rather than if, and we can properly begin to reevaluate then.

Missed the first 45… score doesnt look good. Dare i ask how the game is?
Attacking possession training ground exercise where the defending team is instructed not to go forward and not to try and win the ball back.

The whole squad is demorolized. There's no accountablity. No tactics other than defend and pray, but Pep has already countered that by pushing 5 up front across the line. And the City players actually have a work rate when pressing.

but even the board must realise they've been conned... there is no process (let alone progress)
How Ole still had his job intact after the Liverpool hammering shows they ain’t going to let him go regardless of what is happening on the pitch.

Again it’s simply persevere and trust the process.

Ole has to be binned now. It’s still early enough to save the season. I’m not saying we’re going to win the league but finish high and win something. If we wait we’re going to end up finishing below teams we’ve got much better players than and end up in the fecking Conference League or something.

If shaw does not get the early shower - this itself is enough reason for carrick n ole to go.

What Coaching by these lot? 5 man defence not working was evident from min 5. Yet they won’t react. Why they deserve to carry on?
It seems like Shaw only play good, if he feels there is a left back in the squad, who can take his position on the left back.

You have a system, style if play and a manager that knows what he's doing.
There was one point in the 15th minute when Ederson was looking for Rodri in DM, but was marked, so, De Bruyne sprinted all the way from the inside right position into the right side of DM to receive the ball.

If anyone is trying to understand what good coaching looks like in practicality. None of the armchair fan bullshit, but a quintessential method to pass through a press, it's this example. Pep has clearly instructed Gundogan and De Bruyne to drop beside Rodri if he's marked. It's so prevalent it's damn-near automation.

And our entire defense or will the next manager come with a magic wand?
This is tactical problem, we are constantly put in akward and dangerous positions because we have applied a tactic that we only see teams do that have an 1-0 lead with 5 minutes to go. Ole is trying to do this for 90 minutes.

Ole set us up so deep and we don't even press in our own half but try to block channels instead. Our Defence might ve low on confidence but this set up makes it look 1000 times worse.

Potentially 11 points off the top if this stays as it is and Chelsea win

    Ole has to go.

The team just look clueless for most of the game and something has to change.

There was a moment about halfway though the first half where Ronaldo started gesturing at Wan Bissaka to press. That was the telling moment for me. We’ve a bigger figure on the pitch than any of the figures on the bench. We are effectively playing with no management team. This will end 4 or 5 nil but Ole will survive only until the point that Ronaldo says sack him.

Sancho coming on, we’ll be more proactive and hopefully better. Ole will be sacked tonight.

We conceded 4 goals in 130 minutes playing with 6 defenders. Honestly put the man out of his misery. This is absolutely awful.

That is not how football works. Everything is affected by the context around it. Why do you think that teams or even in other sports, a legit strategy is to put opponent under enough pressure until they make mistakes? Is it a mistake? Of course! But it should not distract from the embarrassment that is our performances and how little quality on the ball we have. If you are this passive, mistakes will follow.
I don't know why this is so difficult for people to get. People analyze these mistakes in isolation. But these are consequences of a lack of organization.

I can't believe people are trying to absolve Shaw of blame for that second goal. Jesus. And no one is pointing out AWB's pathetic attempt to close down the cross.
Roberto Carlos coming to his defence on twitter again. Unbelievable. Unbelievable dis!

"I just want to apologise to the fans who were great again today. They don't deserve this. We need to stick together as a club and work to put things right. We just weren't at it today. but the lads will give everything to make sure this performance doesn't happen again."

There you go lads, copy and paste for your social medias.

Have we ever been this far off our main rivals in recent memory?

Even in poor years gone by we would nearly always give Liverpool and City a game , now if we can keep it to 3 or 4 it could be considered punching above our weight.

If this is progress ,good help us. Embarrassing for such a big club to be now consistently outclassed like this against the bigger teams.

You only need to look at the games against Liverpool / Milan / Başakşehir etc to see that Henderson has been poor at saving shots for us.

    Feck off it is.

Shaw leaves it because he rightly thinks it's for DDG to claim it. If he doesn't get a shout yes, he should be booting it away

But that is the keepers ball all day long, he should be shouting at Shaw and claiming it. No doubt about it.
If you ever leave your guy fur the keeper like that your an absolute shite defender.

You hope we get battered by Man City at Old Trafford?
The scoreline doesn’t matter, it’s embarrassing watching the game.

I was less embarrassed by the 1-6, we didn’t play as minnows back then.
