Do we think it's literally the case that it's taken this game and performance to sack him?

Romano seems like a journalist that jumps on existing stories and makes up irrelevant not disprovable trivia to make him sound ITK. That seems to be his MO.

He’s an Italian based journalist. We don’t have a strong Italian contingency at the heart of senior management at the club. The fact he claims to know so much detail so quickly is highly suspect

The biggest problem on the pitch is the lack of defensive shape. In no way, shape or form is Brendan Rogers the right man to fix that.

This Liverpool game concerns me. They might see arsenal get battered and think it’s fine now cause they’re shite too :nervous:

I dont think they anticipated for it to reach this level. Their plan, since before the season, was apparently to review his situation at the end of his season and decide his future.

Board are absolutely desperate to keep him on. They’d probably send him out against Villarreal with a Zidane mask on and see if anyone notices.
After what we saw with the spurs game after the Conte rumours it wouldn’t surprise me if Ole shaves his head for Tuesday and comes out pointing at his head going “ahhh, see? See?”

Simon Stone: United board not happy with the recent string of games, but expresses confidence in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Promising the beleaguered manager funds to rebuild in the summer…

He will tear the place up and / or tear the place down. Many people are just saying this for a joke but I would love it.
If there is only one lesson we have learnt from Ole’s tenure is to hire managers on prior achievement, not association to the club as a player. Keane would be a disaster.

The emergency meeting should have been called after the final whistle versus Liverpool, but let's get it done and start again. We have a massive mountain to climb.

Woodward just saw Zidane's list of demands and shat the bed. Carrick it is then

post match interview was a hard watch, near cried for him at the end of it. Hes begging to be sacked, going home for international week he was probably going for a reset and fresh attack at getting things back on track, then today the players all let him down massively.

Bruno and McT for the pen at the beginning, Maguire being sent off, Martial giving the ball away for the 3rd, Lindelof not making a challenge, De Gea beaten too easily as well.
Ronaldo should have had a hattrick, Donny was the only bright part of that game, more players with his heart and determination is whats needed.

Also why did Maguire and Ole high 5 after the sending off? Baffled me, it wasnt as if Maguire was being a hero and taking one for the team, he started the disaster with his slow ass play on the ball. Scores against Albania and Moldova and starts giving it the 'Big un' hes been a poors mans Phil Jones this season conceding goals for fun with his sub standard approach to defending.

Back on topic, hope the bleeding stops and they make the change ASAP and sack Ole, done fantastic work over the couple of years to stabilise the club but the time is right to finish him off.

He should resign then. Save some face.

I think he has a good contacts with agents, so his knowledge on player transfers tends to be reliable. For something like this he's generally not worth listening to, I agree.

It’s probably just Woody and his Uni cronies having their weekly “Pimms for hims” Zoom call. They’ll most spend their time reminiscing about guys called Lord Underpants the Third and Viceroy Bumsalot.
So good it deserves repeating. Made me laugh

He'll be hard pressed to get another decent paying job. He's taking the pay out like anyone else would.

Where is all this Carrick talk coming from all of a sudden? Surely we wouldn’t give it to that gormless twat?

Too little time between now and Villareal to make this decision.

We should wait until there's an international break or something to make this decision. Another chance to give him more time to turn this around.

Maybe Ole will take a page from the Woodward playbook…resign but somehow stay in the job for months afterwards.
