I remember reading a news article saying Ole was seen returning from his holiday alone and his family stayed in Norway. I think it was a Luckhurst article iirc.

Oh, of course they're shocked. They did everything right. They let a failing coach continue to keep doing what isn't working, let him and the players who weren't on international duty time off to not train together, and stuck their fingers in their ears. This. Once Ole is sacked the focus has to move back onto the Glazers. It’s probably why they haven’t sacked him yet because all the focus is on the manager rather than them.
If the Carrick/Fletcher combo is being mooted, it has to be with an eye to handling the coming couple of games only (we hope). I feel Ole is gone but the board are uncertain about the immediate next step. The CL game has real impact on remaining season...Given today's performance, it's hard to imagine Ole getting much out of the players for it so maybe the board believes sacking him will wake the squad up for the game and an Internal temp is the only logical option given the time.
