Why? Because of out of touch plastic Utd fans have no understanding of the rivalry between us and City?

Mancini wouldn't come anywhere near us after what he did there. It was a ridiculous suggestion and it deserved ridicule.
Because you’re being a xenophobic dick.

Manchester United is one of, if not the, biggest clubs in world football. Spoiler alert: it’s going to have foreign fans.

Surprised so many are against Poch and listing him in the same category as Rodgers. I'd prefer Ten Hag but if we got Poch, I'd be happy. Rodgers and I'd be pissed off.

Well, we have the biggest budget (or one of) in the league and we're doing absolutely shit. Ten Hag might have the benefit of lots of money, but at least he's actually making that count, unlike us

Well, he managed to NOT win the French league last season with that squad and unlimited funds. That's shocking.

And the few times I've watched them under him, they've been very underwhelming.

At Celta he did an excellent job and thanks to his work came a Celta that years later reached the semifinals of the Europa League.

In Barcelona b he achieved promotion to the second division and a year later he was third, the best result achieved by the b team
That Celta Vigo team was on paper far better than the previous year and they finished where you should expect, the style was nice though. Barcelona B was one of the best they had in a while with Thiago, Nolito, Montoya, Pedro, Sergi Roberto, and Soriano.

It's fair to say that Luis Enrique did well with good squads, he rarely overachieved. He has a nice style and you can trust him to see his team reach its potential but lets not pretend that he is a miracle worker.

I'd have Klopp in a heartbeat. For all I care he could walk around Old Trafford wearing a Liverpool away kit with a beatbox playing 'You'll Never walk Alone' with a fake black moustache and shell suit saying dedodowdontde and waiving his hands around. I'd still have him.

Bodger can fek off though.

Have to agree on both counts I would bite my arm of for Klopp so certainly don't care about a Liverpool connection.

Worked with Busby after all

Poch? Based on what? Not winning anything?

Ten Haag, let's just throw money at Ajax as if there is no tomorrow! He is just perfect!
The French league is virtually won already nobody is catching PSG now and he’s beat City in Europe they can’t be that bad.

Poch for me I’ve wanted him for years. The job he did at Spurs was superb.

Time for a poll refresh - or at least tidy up the options (remove Conte etc.)

Should also change thread to next permanent manager too. Then remove that option from the poll also.

Would Man Utd job attract him next Summer?

Plus:
- Well paid job
- will get his transfer budget
- will get all the time he needed here
- If he achieved success here, board would be willing to give him a blank cheque with whatever length of contract he want
- will be great challenge to achieve success here, having 4 failed manager/project before him. Expectation would be all time low.

Minus:
- If he failed, his reputation would be damaged forever
- full of egos and big individuals, not easy to manage
- Dressing room could be toxic at times, many players have loser mentality, not easy to turn that around
- Current squad is totally disjointed, with leaky defence, non-existence midfield, and no pressing forward. Its not easy to fix all the problems soon.
- A jump from Dutch league to PL won't be easy. PL teams are lot tougher.

Maintaining a Guardiola-like win percentage of 72% is also not easy.

Main options for permanent manager -
ETH, Pochettino, Lopetegui, Potter, Galtier, Favre, Eboue, Rodgers (joke option)

Don't see much point in including Mancini and Enrique since they're not available till after the WC. And neither is Rose since he's only been at Dortmund half a season. And Zidane clearly isnt interested.

Can't see any sources that Barcelona were looking to get rid of Koeman and bring in Ten Hag in the Summer.

Spurs okay yeah, but we're Manchester United ffs.

But still I suppose if we can get a decent interim, we can happily wait until the end of the season for Ten Hag.

According to Mundo Deportivo, he promised Overmars that he wouldn't take the Barcelona job this summer and was invested in their project.

Tuchel was doing poorly with them and clearly a factor as to why they didn't win the league. I was hardly impressed with his PSG side but he's been excellent at Chelsea.

Anyone other than Ten Hag and it’ll be massively underwhelming, we have a fantastic squad now and this guy ticks all the boxes..don’t let Bodger anywhere near this club

If Ten Hag interest is true at the end of the season, then we have to do everything possible to get him. Getting Pochettino ahead of Ten Hag would be beyond idiotic and set us back further

Next summer I too late. We need to qualify for europe , we need to sort out the squad etc.
Please , no more talk of waiting. The club needs to start sorting it out now.
Tell the people you want it is now or never, hell, ask them to apply.

Good to see you are finally showing your true face.

Calling other fans plastic after advocating for that failure of a manager to stay for years too long is a perfect example of what a deluded top red is.

I think the point is that if they want ten hag then they should approach ajax. If he says no or wait until the summer, in fact,if any manager says that then we say thank you but it's now or never.
It is utterly pointless , whatever spin you put on it that six months of an unhappy squad with players needed to go and come in is in any football or common sense way , acceptable.
I'm sorry but I don't think that we are talking about the same things.

Everybody rejected Tottenham to be fair.
True but when people mention money as a motivator, Tottenham offer larger wages than Ajax. My point is that ten Hag is seemingly interested in other things than money.

Why is Carrick favourite with the bookies to be the next permanent manager?
I think a lot of them are counting more than 10 games as being permanent, if he gets good results in the next couple of games then there's a very decent chance he gets the job until at least the summer.

I have reservations about poch, ten hag and Zidane. Poch, even with that squad should be lighting up the world, they’re not. Yes I know they’re winning the league. Champions league 2 wins 2 draws they don’t look impressive.

ten Hag; he’s won the league it feels like a step up and a gamble. We have so many players that are just cap c will they fit his style?

Zidane: the money, language barriers and I just feel there are questions over his temperament and working with a squad that isn’t full of quality.

I know they’re flaw in my statement, not least there are no guarantees, overstating managers influence etc, at this stage I’d sooner go with ten hag, rather than throw money at Zidane, and watch Poch..

Jolly Rodger’s is a party venue not a serious consideration.

If SAF and Neville want Poch, I'm almost certain we shouldn't do it.
They tend to back the winners whoever they are because they read the club politics. So by that definition we will always end up doing what they say they want.

Well,we are. It's just that you seem confused.
How am I confused, you quoted my post, surely I'm the one who knows what my post was about? Your last post has nothing to do with Ajax being significanltly wealthier and better than other Eredivisie clubs which plays a bit part in their ability to win at a very high rate. Your last post has nothing to do with that.

This. Managing PSG is an even bigger shitshow than us.

You're right, of course. At least Rodgers is not getting much of a mention.

Lot of ifs. What if Bodger refuses?
Wouldn't it be better to wait till the summer for the right man than appoint the wrong man now?
My first option for years is Poch. If we can get him in summer, i would wait. But i wouldn't mind that we go all out attack for Ten Haag NOW.
