the way he talks about Carrick
Regardless of his ability as a manager, you can see why the players like him as a person
Sacked and paid off to play nice. The Chelsea way (most often). Was he sacked or did he step down? It seems a bit of both.
Absolutely. He was a fan that was thrown into becoming manager of the biggest club in world football. I just wish the club had stuck to their guns and let his temporary contract expire at the end of the first season. He’d be held in such greater regard than he is now. He’s been allowed to absolutely destroy his reputation.Very sad video.
Highlights why he never should have been manager in the first place.
Sentiment will get you nowhere in sport.
Really the club and owners fault once again
It isn't clear though.I simply stated the squad is better than what he inherited. Which is clearly true. I did not say all his signings were great
Our online fan base is pretty toxic, like most big clubs I imagine. Thankfully the fans who attend matches are some of the classiest around, imo they are anyway. This whole business is showing a very ugly side of our fanbase.
Exactly.Only thing embarrassing is some of the reactions in here.
Thank goodness. Our online fan base is pretty toxic, like most big clubs I imagine. Thankfully the fans who attend matches are some of the classiest around, imo they are anyway.
Its very clear its a much improved squadIt isn't clear though.
He's spent a fortune and I wouldn't say we're any better off for it really.
Bruno is his only real success during his time, but a lot of his squad will be an albatross around the next managers neck.
He's neglected the Pogba/DvB situation, kept hold of a lot of mediocre players and signed some for astronomical amounts.
If anything he's made the squad unbalanced. Far too many attackers, nowhere near enough cover or quality in midfield, same for defence really.
Maybe he felt this was a more personal message than just making a statement on twitter. Very sad to see.I hope this wasn't his idea, seems a little cruel and unnecessary. A simple "thank you and good luck" would have sufficed.
You don't say
His reputation will be back after a while. Most knew he wasn't good enough even back then. What we need is to move forward and use the good squad we have to challenge again.Absolutely. He was a fan that was thrown into becoming manager of the biggest club in world football. I just wish the club had stuck to their guns and let his temporary contract expire at the end of the first season. He’d be held in such greater regard than he is now.
