Him leaving will free up money for a new player, it’s not worked out, time to move on for all parties
We've heard that one before. It’ll be interesting to see how United approach his last few months at the club, once he’s fit - do we use him as normal since he’s still a first team player that we’re paying a big salary, or do we give the time instead to someone potentially with a future at the club?
Or do we isolate him altogether to prevent risking the locker room morale?
Ole I think would’ve continued using him regardless, but Ralf might have a different approach, especially since he’s already spoken about only wanting players that want to be at United.
That would be terrible. Thankfully that’s never happened so far.Would be much worse if he signed a huge new contract thereby raising the salary ceiling further and meaning we have to put up with years of underwhelming displays for a handful of good ones
Rooney? That would be terrible. Thankfully that’s never happened so far.
Its not just a nice thing to say, its an observation from watching the games. His work rate is infectious and feeds into the rest of the team. One game earlier this season springs to mind against Atalanta, he comes on and completely changes the game. First half we got outworked, although it was a 60 odd min sub, when he came on it brought another level out of the rest of the players. Even Ronaldo was all over the pitch defending and tracking back at the end, Cavani turned the game round.Sorry I think that’s just a nice thing to say. It would suggest also that our players in general are unprofessional. I I disagree with that.
To be fair I don’t think he should even be given til February as he’s been ‘in talks over a new contract’ for well over a year now so I’d give him the next couple of weeks then if he hasn’t agreed a new contract freeze him out of the first team and actively start looking for midfield reinforcements. He should be given a deadline by feb so the club can look for replacements. If he is not decided by then, pull the offer.
FFS you’re willing to throw other players under the bus for non football related issues to stick up for a guy who’s done next to nothing and returned late for the start of the season, asked to play for Uruguay and miss most of the start of the season, has been injured for months and would seemingly (been reported numerous times in only 18 months) play for Barcelona or Bocca Juniors. Its not just a nice thing to say, its an observation from watching the games. Unprofessional players, AWB banned for driving offences, Maguire pending court case, Martial does nothing and hides behind his agent, Pogba waste of a squad number(wont speak out against his agent), Fred stealing a living bar the last few games, Greenwood and his hotel incident. Not having a go at the squad but just offering examples.
The offer should just be pulled, it's ridiculous we are offering to make a player is nowhere near the best in the league one of the best paid in europeTo be fair I don’t think he should even be given til February as he’s been ‘in talks over a new contract’ for well over a year now so I’d give him the next couple of weeks then if he hasn’t agreed a new contract freeze him out of the first team and actively start looking for midfield reinforcements.
We’re linked with Frenkie De Jong, Boubacar Kamara and Amadou Haidara as well as a long standing interest in Declan Rice as well as having McTominay, Fred, VDB, Mejbri and Garner. We’ve got Ronaldo, Fernandes, Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood, Diallo, Elanga and Shoretire in the attacking spots too so we can do without Pogba much like we’ve had too since the first month or so of the season anyway.
I forget the order. Thing is he was saying what a lot of fans were saying at various times. Yet he is getting so much hatred now.The attack comments weren't in the dressing room, he said it during the post match interview on TV. Funnily enough Old Trafford was screaming it during the game.
I’d be happy if we pulled the offer too as I’ve had enough of his hit and miss (mostly miss) performances and his cnut of an agent whilst never saying he hasn’t said what his agents says but the club aren’t going to pull the offer just like that unfortunately so I’d want them to tell him “sign within the next couple of weeks or we’ll freeze you out of the first team for the rest of your contract or sell you to whoever will buy you in January” and hope we can convince someone to pay a fee.The offer should just be pulled, it's ridiculous we are offering to make a player is nowhere near the best in the league one of the best paid in europe

Yeah Cavani is the ultimate United player.
And now seemingly Madrid dont want him, even for free, if you believe Paper talk (Marca). Think he might sign the extension as Im not sure theres many teams that can afford his wages unless PSG go for him.The offer should just be pulled, it's ridiculous we are offering to make a player is nowhere near the best in the league one of the best paid in europe

why would anyone in his position refuse the contract rather than leave it on the table? Contrary to people’s belief’s there are multiple factors he has to consider. It won't surprise me one bit if he ends up extending his contract. That's why he didn't refuse the contract extension yet and just leaving it on the table : he knows there's a big chance no one will actually want him so better to not throw United's offer out of the window.
I dont blame him for not signing the contract yet, uncertainty with the manager is one reason. Team not in great form or position in the table, although its improving game by game. We do have a squad capable of challenging for the title we are just missing a couple of players. Im not Pogbas biggest admirer, too inconsistent, perhaps with the new formation and being pushed up higher up the pitch he can provide more, his vision and passing are fantastic.why would anyone in his position refuse the contract rather than leave it on the table? Think the end of January is the expected return date, hes back from Dubai so another couple of weeks until hes back training and then another couple to get match fit. Although could be sped up by injuries or covid lay offs. How long is he out injured for? Genuinely interested to see what Ralf does with him.

We can but hope,Cheers.
I reckon if he keeps his head down and works then Ralf will pick him (at least for the squads). If he gets his agent to mouth off about anything, he'll not play again.
If its true Madrid dont want him then he will either have to show his worth to us or other potential suitors and he might be what we need to finish the season off with silverware.Cheers.

That would be my guess too. I won't regret losing Pogba for free, neither will Ralf it seems. Wish him all the best, but it is time for both parties to move on, unless he starts working his socks off and finally becomes a consistent top player that we all hoped we were getting at the time.Nailed on for PSG.
We all know how much they love a freebie. Raiola already has a couple of clients there (Donnarumma and Verrati) and the club will love the marketing possibilities of having the two poster boys of France's World Cup Winning squad to show off. And to top it off, they're one of only a couple of clubs that would be willing to pay their extortionate demands.
I'd be amazed if he goes anywhere else.
If he signs for PSG then it will be indicative that offers were thin on the ground given he’s said in the past that he’d never play for them.Nailed on for PSG.

Italian clubs love a freebie too, Juve signed Ramsey & Rabiot on a free, Inter signed Di Vrij & Calhanoglu, Barca got Depay, Eric Garcia, Aguero on a free, Madrid got Alaba on a free, these are fairly recent examples, it happens a lot everywhere.Nailed on for PSG.
