So who’s your favourite player now?

Greenwood. One of the best young players in the world. Potential of the perfect modern day number 9.

Cavani I’ve noticed he’s got a bit of 90s/00s Roy Keane in him when it comes to defending our players, especially Greenwood.

Varane…. He’s personality and reserved ice cool nature reminds me a bit of Thiago Silva… I think he’ll be a great unofficial captain and one day might even become a manager.

Bruno…. Our talisman

Pogba our most gifted

Ronaldo second greatest player of all time and biggest footballer of all time.

Jones because he reminds me how crap we used to be only a few years ago and how far we have come.

Rashford great talent and great person

Rashford first due to political bias but I also rate him higher than others do. How connected my appreciation for his off field stuff and his on field is hard to know but I don't think I've seen a better left winger for us.

Shaw second due to left back bias. I played there as a kid and now always watch left backs a bit closer, so when we have a really good one like him or Evra I am a bit obsessed. Absolutely love a Luke Shaw give and go.

Then I'd say Fernandes, Greenwood and Maguire swap around depending on form. Harry cause I like centre backs who bring the ball forward, Mason cause it's always fun watching a kid getting on the scoresheet for Utd and Bruno cause he produces some brilliant moments and has a lovely smile.

After everything he has been through Shaw. Coming back from that leg-break, getting his spirit crushed by the chosen one, then scoring a goal in the final of the European Chamionship and being arguably the player of the tournament. Fantastic.

Great call. Actually amazing when we think about he’s journey and obstacles that he’s overcome.

Ronaldo - by far, he is GOAT, my most favourite footballer of all time, and he is coming home.

Honourable mention:

Greenwood - probably the most promising youngster produced from United academy since class of 92. He is our future, our very own generational talent.

Pogba - Only if he stays and doesn’t sulk. Easily the most talented midfielder in the world today. When he is on form he is a pure joy to watch.

Bruno - reminds me of Cantona on the impact he has made since joining us, and Keane on the angry/uncompromised attitude he brings to the team.

Rashford - I like his style, he plays like young Ronaldo at times when he is in form. But he has been so inconsistence, with very high highs but very low lows.

Varane - from his interviews and persona I like him already. Genuine and class. Silky on the ball, very quick and composed. He could be our most important signing in recent years and help in the mentality department too

Cavani - love a fighter in addition to his ability

McTominay - warrior, look forward to him blossoming into a proper midfielder, we will need it. Has become a crucial cog without new additions

DDG I think. Years of losing/dull matches, saved/livened up by him.

Loved watching Martial till he fell of a cliff, again, like de Gea, he was a lone spark under LvG so I've always had a soft spot.
Remember a hammering away at the Emirates (0-3?), Ozil was running the show, everyone was clueless and hopeless, but he was still creative and lively and exciting.

Bruno, Rashford, and Cavani.

And most probably adding Ronaldo and Varane later on.

In terms of likeable though, there are so many in the team.

Rashford and Greenwood are my favorites.

Bruno comes very close because he is our best player, our star and has carried us for some time now.

Ronaldo…well I hated him for leaving us when he was at his peak and it hurt a lot watching him beat all the records at Madrid while he had Cicharito and Nani.

Hope that the mods don’t mind me bumping this one - it’s not that old. Just thought that some may wish to revisit their choices now. :)

Elanga is someone I’m interested in seeing more of. I remember that video of him doing a massive box jump in pre-season even before formal team pre-season training started. I think he worked with an independent to get as fit as possible. I appreciated that level of dedication and I’m glad Ralf has seen that.

You-know-who was also someone I liked watching too but he’s been pulled from my list after the past few days…

Been thinking about this thread too, where has all the positivity gone what promised to be a fantastic season ended up so terrible. With even counter threads now of who do you hate the most, such a disappointment this season.

1. Ronaldo - always been my favourite player since growing up and being a United support since 2001/2002, seeing him turn out to be the player he went on to become is incredible.
2. Pogba - I believe on his day, ability-wise he is one of the best all-round midfielders in the world and love watching him play when he is at it. Issue is his inconsistency...
3. Cavani - huge fan since his Napoli days and wanted him back in 2012 when we signed RvP. With him turning 35 and the way he conducts himself on and off the pitch is amazing.

Would also like to mention de Gea as well. First came in and received a lot of stick while playing under SAF but quickly went onto to become one of the best GK's ITW during a period when we was (and still are) at rock bottom.

Elanga. That dressing room hasn’t ruined him as a player or person yet.

Cavani is an inspirational character too and I’m glad we’ll be forced to use him for the rest of the season now.

De Gea has had his ups and downs with us but it’s impressive to see a return to form like this. You’re supposed to wait until you leave this club to show the world you’ve still got it. Thank for breaking the mould, Dave.

Rashford is someone we can be proud of as a human being. I’m grateful for him more than ever after a week like this one.

Well my first choice is outta here.
For now, I'm going Jadon and Amad as my number 2

Ronnie, Bruno, Shaw, Rashford. Feel really sad reading some of older posts.

De Gea and no one comes close. McTominay when he's in the battle mode looks at times like an oldschool United player.

Ronnie for his past work for the club, I'll never forget that.

Fred, only because he is a decent guy and also plays decently. Bruno to an extent. Others are just meh.

Can't look past Bruno. Talented, attack-minded, works hard and delivers - basically as close as we have to the mythical 'United player' of yesteryear.

I actually didn’t like Ronaldo for a long time after he left United and even during his first spell at United he wasn’t my favourite player, but he is now. Absolutely been the shining light during a pretty poor season (so far, getting better). Those late and decisive Champions League goals felt beautifully nostalgic.
