18 year old Ajax midfielder. Linked via the mirror (no clue if that's good or not). Looks a very good player. Anyone have more info about him rather than just a YouTube vid?
Ajax were happy to let van de Beek go for a decent price after he chose to stay on an additional year. I doubt Ajax would've let him go for any price last summer, especially knowing they'd likely get a much bigger fee after another year of development with them. Why not buying him instead of Van de Beek if he is so good. Surely it is wiser to move early for top class talent.
Can’t disagree with that. Think we should monitor Zakaria closelyGravenberch looks like a player with quite a bit of potential. However, we need a proper 6 like Denis Zakaria first. We've been blessed with a lot of 8s at the moment.
Get Gravenberch and Zakaria, sell Pogba and McTominay. Can’t disagree with that. Think we should monitor Zakaria closely
That's down to the French Pogba though. He really looks like he's lost his mojoWe’re struggling to fit the French Pogba into our team effectively so not sure we should be signing the Dutch version.
Agree with everything you said but i see him more of a "6" thand an "8". he has very good defnsive ability. Looks like a natural successor to de Jong at AjaxSo this guy was one of Ajax best players last night and scored a brilliant goal...
He is becoming a really impressive player at Ajax.. Dont think he is ready yet to make the step to a top club as for a central midfielder he isnt consistent enough.. There seems to be too much child (duhhh, he's 18) in him left, as in some games he can just tune out for a bit and/or have too many turnovers in places you shouldnt.. However, yesterday he played amazing for 90 minutes and was very important for us..
Last year he came through the academy and didnt immediately make an impact. I didnt really see what made him so special immediately to be honest, apart from being big and strong. But this year he is really showing signs of having it in him to become a huge player, combining technique (passing, first touch, dribbling) and power (strenght in duels), plus having a great shot in him... He looks like the real deal modern '8'. Besides that I think he's a very down to earth, calm, likeable guy..
Definitely one to watch!

I'm gonna do a 180, don't sign. His agent is Raiola, I'm just not sure I can be arsed with the hassle again.
Think everything changes if Ten Hag is in charge. What Ajax player in their right mind would sign for United at the moment? We didn't burn that bridge, we blew it the hell up.
From what little footage I've seen, he strikes as a player who thrives in a well defined system. Think of Sancho, Kagawa, Miki.Tweet

Apparently it's likely that Gravenberch will on the market this summer, what do we think Reds, someone we should be targetting for the midfield? Not seen him play personally so not giving my opinion, i've only heard he is good and a potential alternative to Rice/Tchouaméni etc
He already has 62 appearances for Ajax, he has more experience than all our academy prospects combined. We have enough prospects in the midfield at our academy, we should sign someone with a bit more experience.
