We'd have been much better off bringing in a manager who had the cajones to bench the lot of these prancing Nancy's for players that could be half-arsed. Instead, we just let Brighton run wild on us for that half.

It isn't rocket science. Gary Neville pointed it out. The entire league knows that our players aren't here to put in 100% effort and that we can be out-worked and outplayed.

We aren't a football club anymore. We're a marketing gimmick. Our player roster is a direct reflection of this.

We need an entire reset from the top down.

If the players don't respond to Rangnick I am not sure Potter would stand a chance.
They’re not good enough, I don’t think there’s a manager in the world that would get them playing how we need them to.

We need a chant to let tye players know when they're not putting in enough effort because none of the players are willing to let each other know when they're not putting in the effort.
I'd suggest 'RUN YOU BONE IDLE ENTITLED PRICKS' for the full 90 mins every single game.

Mcfred are being schooled in the art of midfield play. whether its defensively or offensively. Other than bissouma can anyone even name the Brighton midfielders...

Hard to believe these players are good enough to play for United, they can't even play and go toe to toe with Brighton!!!!

They need to be punished by wages docking, these lot ain't even trying to play ball.

I hate to shit on such a young player, but I don’t really see any discernible traits in Elanga’s game to suggest he has it. He’s pretty quick and he works hard, which puts him ahead of most of our current crop on that side of things, but the rest of the game?

    They were definitely audible enough.

Not sure what we can do as our forward line is full of average (or less) players bar Sancho who is not having the best of games, our midfield is similarly poor bar Bruno who is not having the best of games himself. I suppose Rashford and Pogba coming on against tired legs at some point is promising.

It's really strange how we've gone from having a bloated squad to having very few options.

I suppose in losing Amad, Greenwood, DVB, and Martial, 4 players who can make an attacking contribution in one window, it's no wonder
We lost only one player who can make an attacking contribution and that was unexpected and ruined our season.

I’m sorry, but that’s bollocks. They’re 7 points behind a United side who have been well below par and had to sack a manager. The reason for that is because we have vastly superior players. We finished with more than 30 points more than them last season. You don’t do that when there’s not much between the two teams.
4 points and a game in hand if they win.

Which part of our line up tonight do you see as vastly superior to theirs? Back 4? No, Midfield? No, Attack? Maybe on paper.

But in modern football, those are two of the most desirable/useful attributes

    1 - Work Rate
    2 - Physical Attributes
    3 - Talent

In that order. Most of our players tick the 3rd box (sometimes) but very few tick three, or even two.

I refuse to believe that Fred a professional footballer playing for Manchester United. The man is incapable of stringing together a few series of passes. For every 2 passes he completes, the third one goes to the opposition.

This current team, with these players, are uncoachable.

More important than any transfer budget in the summer, the next manager needs to be given full and total control over who he sees has a future at this club and let them get rid of anyone, regardless of how big a name they are. If it pisses off the sponsors, tough.
start a plan to get rid of this current squad by the beginning of 2025.

I predict that we will come out with the press in the second half. Would make sense to me because we struggled with letting teams back into the game when we got too tired by pressing in first half.

On the ball, I like that we have more patience and not force it all the time. Unfortunately, there have been too many sloppy passes from an inconsistent midfield. McTominay will have some great games on some days, then have games like today where it's poor. Fred has been too sloppy with passing, but at least his energy is there.

Again, final third lacks creativity. I can respect that Elanga likes to run at players but he is struggling today and needs to be subbed. Unfortunately, the one who'd come on is an inconsistent Rashford who still struggles with decision making to this day.

First half was okay at best. Offensively struggling, but I didn't see Brighton really threatening.

For those saying Pogba leaves spaces behind, Fred today did exactly that ..

At least Pogba can pass a fecking ball

DeGea the only thing preventing us from having to chase this game second half. We were slow and sloppy and disinterested, couldn't string two passes together to save our lives, and were completely impotent in the final third.

    feck!
    Nail on the head.

    Embarrassing performance so far.

Shaw has now completed his single customary dribble with the ball. Time to chill for the rest of the game.

How many managers do we need to get before we decide the players simply aren’t very good? Say we got Ten Haag, if you don’t give him any signings we’ll be in a similar boat. It doesn’t matter wha ya scribbled on the whiteboard in the dressing room if the squads not much good. I’ve said previously I’m not a massive fan of Ralf, but I’m not deluded when it comes to the quality of this bunch of players either.
The squad obviously isn’t good enough to compete with City but come on. We should not be getting played off the park by every team in the league. If we absolve him of any responsibility what is he getting paid for?

And considering he should've had one earlier when he took out Bruno on the counter with an obvious tactical foul he should be walking a tightrope. Instead, he's free to keep committing fouls in the middle of the park without risking anything yet. Meanwhile, McTominay will breathe near Maupay and get booked.
Same happened against Burnley. That new big striker did enough to get booked on 5 occasions, got none.

To be fair, there has not been alot of attacking football. And the times he has got the ball it has often been on the defensive half. Not exactly the right place to be creative.
With anproper midfield that can hold the ball, the whole team will move 30meters up the pitch and the whole scenery would change
True. I just assumed the reason he was in the starting line-up was to create chances.

The problem is what the problem has always been. A midfield is a massive amount of space that is supposed to be covered. In that midfield, the only player that is on the pitch that can pass or control the ball at a premier league level is our most attacking one ( Fernandes). This means that any time we even try in any form to play the ball up the pitch, we will lose the ball. This season, this is compounded by Ronaldo not pressing in the frontline, which means, we cant hit them high up the pitch, because if we do, the middle will be easily bypassed.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Rangnick just straight up resigns after the game declaring the players frauds and the club rotten.
We all know nothing changes while the absentee Glazers are there. And we cannot get shot of them. Interesting that Rooney saw the signs of decline ten years ago.

Rewatching that early exchange between Ronaldo to Sancho then he tries a shot when he should pass and then tries to pass when the chance is gone... Epitome of our attack this season.

That midfield, have we ever had a worse midfield than this? No wonder we lost the Europa league final with this lot playing...
