No they haven't

They did from 70-85. Embarrassing response from us

Possession stats are meaningless. They play for possession, we do not.

Edited. If it wasn’t clear.
Well, you weren't 'clear' because what you said was wrong. Still a staggering stat. It's always depressing watching us against City, even when we fluke a win it's evident how far off we are.

They were 3-1 up and we had brought on Rashford and Lingard who don't even want to be here. I mean, we had 93% in a 15 minute period against Watford too.

The clear out we need cannot be done in one window. We are an utter utter disgrace.

Correct. RR brought on these 2 at 60th when our energy level dropped, these 2 made things worse.

Can anyone remember when Celtic beat Barcelona despite having less than 15% possession?

13% possession in the whole second half.

Picking 20 minutes of one stat is absolutely meaningless. Pointless thread.

Was 2-1 when we bought the chuckle brothers on. Lingard shouldn't be in the squad, he wants away. Rashford needs to be sold, people say out of form. But he spends more time "out of form" than he does in form, it's just his level.

Re-read what you just posted, as a counter.

Referencing Celtic vs. Barcelona.

Can this season get any worse?

Please can we sell Rashford to the house of commons, its where he needs to be. He is done as a footballer at any level above league one

It's really not meaningless when we should have been chasing the game. The fact is that we either didn't or couldn't. Both of which are unacceptable

Honestly, how many different can we say the same thing about needing new players ? Each passing week, I correct my estimation by adding one more

It just highlights the difference in class between our two sides.

It's not like we didn't already know this City side was infinitely superior to ours in every way imaginable, but hey, confirmation is always a good thing. Now we know know.

Yeah and they only scored one. Barely. That required VAR to confirm.

The second half was every bit as bad and as embarrassing as the Old Trafford fixture

In term of means Celtic playing against Barça is like a Championship team playing City. All they can do is try to steal a win.

Forget difference in quality, they worked harder and ran more.

Which they did, with less than 15% possession.

Picking a twenty minute spell and using it as a stick to beat the team up with is pathetic.
Why not pick the first twenty minutes instead?

Good luck to whoever the new manager is with this group of players. They gave up.
If i was ten hag, i'd only come if i had a guarantee that i could sell half the team and bring in new players.

Otherwise this lot can get anyone sacked.

Cherrypicking one shocking upset and using it as example of why stats don't matter is the definition of meaningless, pointless nonsense and an argument that holds up to zero scrutiny. Barcelona reached the semis of that competition, whilst Celtic went out in the second round. If those Celtic and Barcelona teams played each other a hundred times, Barcelona would win 90+ of them. Astonishing upsets aren't a viable strategy for long-term success. That's why they're astonishing. In the vast majority of cases you just end up with what you saw today, which is a team utterly outclassed and soundly beaten.

Can you explain why it's pathetic?

This was a period in which we were already losing the game. We weren't holding on for 1 or 3 points. To be losing the game and completely unable to even get the ball for 20 minutes is tragic
