Barcelona, Celta de Vigo
Barcelona looking strong again. They have a really good squad although noone at Messi level.

People forgot about that. Anyway not sure how they have the money for such a deep squad given the problems they recently had?

Messi had insane money, but also must have generated a large part of it by being at the club.
Barcelona have signed players for free and some have come from the academy. In summer they will probably leave 6+ and come 4-5.

Gavi is just another astonishing talent like Pedri. Skill and maturity beyond their years.
Gavi is impressive. Right now the best possible midfield is Busquets, Gavi and Pedri. De Jong has improved these weeks but is not yet in a great moment.

Looks like an exciting time to be a Barcelona fan. A different sort of excitement from what they were used to in the all conquering days but they really look like they’re going in the right direction.

Vinicius goal, Benzema with the assist. Mallorca 0 - Real Madrid 1.

30 minutes left at the moment.

Whenever i watch Rodrygo, i get the impression he is lacking in physicality, not much body strength or balance.

With the tackles that Mallorca players got away with, I’m not surprised. Ref left a couple of reds in his pocket
Also let Casemiro repeatedly get away without a yellow, in fairness. I liked his threshold, but he lacked authority

So, do folk think Barcelona will get a result tonight at the Bernabeu? I quietly fancy them. They are playing some great stuff of late whilst Madrid’s results seem better on paper than their performances have suggested. I think Barcelona might edge it by the odd goal in a feast.

Madrid 2-3 Barcelona. :wenger:

I quite fancy Barca to win 2-1 although they’ve not had much luck in recent games against Madrid, not beat them since 2019.

Right time to park in here now the Rome derby's finished. It can be quite annoying having loads derby or rivalry matches on the same day, i get it makes it a great day of football but it either means having plans and missing a potentially really good match or spend all day watching football.

As good as Barca's form has been, just don't see them winning in the Bernebeau. However, if they can play how they did vs Madrid in January, they really should pick up a draw.

No Benzema is a problem but I'm curious to see Modric, Rodrygo and Vinicius as the main attacking force.

And still no Camavinga

Sigh...

This was the sort of game for Miguel Gutierrez too. Ancelotti does not trust youth

Sorry for what, we're 15 points clear with 10 games to go...*this* is the sort of game where you get to test your kids

Maybe but it's still a big match.
27 points left after this game. Win and we need 12 to win the title. Lose and we need 19. Either way it would take a collapse of biblical proportions for us to not win the title

Precisely because it's a big match without much to play for is the time to try some kids

Btw prediction: Sevilla will drop out of top 4

Sorry if it’s already been asked but why are both teams in their change strips?

EDIT: They’ve just said it on commentary. Something to do with Madrid’s anniversary.

This sort of graphics are worthless. Barcelona will play in a 3-2-5, with Jordi Alba and Busquets in the pivot. Not even disguising it this time with Dani Alves, playing 3 CBs outright

I was wrong. Araujo and Alba are staying wide to form a diamond at the back, with busquets acting as lone pivot

I think you do have the title wrapped up pretty much and i agree he should be giving the younger players some minutes.

Ballsy prediction considering Sevilla's very good defensive record, who do you think will oust them?
