Will Liverpool ever lose a game again?

I can't see it. They'll turn baldy's lot over at the Etihad on Sunday. They've got the quadruple in the bag.

Depends when they get the league officially won - maybe then they rest the first team before one of the cup finals and the opposition has a super lucky day against their reserves, but otherwise: no.

Not this season no, it will be the greatest achievement in the history of world football.

I'm talking about the quadruple that is.

Celtic did it in 1967! That was the best achievement in the history of world football!

consensus has always been they had a better one to eleven but the squad wasn't as good as City's, think they may have the better depth now

Sunday. Teams seemingly get big chances against Liverpool nearly every match. I think City has the personal to actually finish those chances.

No team in particular.
Liverpool it's so good, it hurts.

Don't worry, Luis Diaz is sad he didn't qualify to the WC with Colombia, and VVD isn't winning a WC with Netherlands

At least they can't be fully happy, i guess.

Being shite is made worse by Liverpool having their best team in my lifetime. Diaz another star. They just don’t do flops, it’s so annoying.

Winning every game for the rest of the season, unless they tie up the league with games in hand.

CL is worse for me, I mean 7 to our 3 is pretty horrible. At least we’ve won a few I guess.
Once they get 20 and 7, there's not going to be much more debate on who is the bigger club. May as well pack up football now.

Yeah would put that one to bed until we lift one or the other again. Could honestly be 15-20 years for us.

Alabama but always Wales in my heart
I also think Real are winning the CL this season. Gareth Bale, 90th minute winner, celebrates with a golf swing and a middle finger to the media before leading Wales to winning the world cup in Qatar.

Ok the Bale stuff may be fanciful but Real do have the pedigree and the nous to beat City or Liverpool, when their backs were to the wall they just went up a gear and in 15 minutes turned a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 win over PSG and there was nothing anyone could do to stop them.

why is everyone making it out like Liverpool are going to just win the quad. Bayern will smack them and city probably will beat them on the weekend?

Anyone who stops them now, esp in the CL will be a hero. This quadruple shit has to end or I will have to find another sport altogether.

Liverpool are very fortunate that their rise has coincided with such a piss poor period in European football. Massively overrated because they have no competition apart from City.

True, we met Peps demonic Barca side in 09 and 11 and I’m still not over it.

Exactly this. There was so many great European teams in the 90s and 00s, plus Barcelona a little later on. It's annoying.

Same for a lot of Reals recent CL wins, though I think city are a top top team.

I actually felt that that was a poor time in European football.
All English giants and Milan that dominated the 00's were on the decline.

There was no one at full power, seeing that even Inter and one of the weakest Bayern's were able to play a final in 2010 says a lot too.

Bayern and Real Madrid started gaining real strength in 2012 and from then on it was competitive at high level again with Barca/Bayern/Real dominating most of the last decade.

On the whole wasn’t great, no. But that Barca side was probably the best club side ever.

I wouldn't be surprised if City beat them comfortably, i mean not necessarily by a big score but just by controlling the game and reducing Liverpool to half goal occasions. I think Pep finally has Klopp's number and City has become very good in neutralizing Liverpool, they haven't lost to Liverpool in more than 2 years if i'm not mistaken...

The Peak of big teams barely coincide.

So the whole "weakest team" will alway be subjective.

Barca won their first CL under Pep when teams like Juventus,Milan,Liverpool, and Madrid were shit.

What can be argued is that due to the big money injection in football, now we have 5-6 teams concentrating 80% of the best talents, and giving the scraps to the rest...so we have a completely unbalanced competition now.

That Inter side won a treble and might be Jose best team. The United 08 team is still the only English side since the treble in 99 to win both the league and CL in a single season, plus that Barca side might be the greatest football team of all time.

Current City or Liverpool teams have yet to reach the levels or success of these 3 teams.

Remarkably they're still so easy to wind up (atleast the ones I know) despite how good they are.

If they as much as draw at City I'll lay some quite obvious bullshit bait (like Klopp is getting found out) and they will still bite. Compare that to United fans at the height of the Fergie success and it was impossible to wind you lot up even slightly (again drawing to my experiences).

You guys are very overly dramatic. Of course they may lose. Anybody can have a bad day. I still remember how confident I was Liverpool was going to trash Real Madrid in that Karius final...
