Point is, Sterling doesn't play in a fixed position. He will start on left, then move to centre when KDB or Foden drops to the wing.

Not saying Halaand would be a failure but Pep will have to change his style.
No its just a formation change not a style change, Pep has played with a 9 plenty of times

Plenty of times ? They only have one 9 and he started his first match last week after couple of months.

He might have played one with Aguero or Lewa but Haaland isn't one of them

City isn't the only club he ever managed, style doesn't need to change

No mate just use your eyes and watch them play.
I do, and I did. They both have excellent movement and get into positions. When they get service, they score.. it’s about who they have around them. Comparing them now is just a silly thing to do. Haaland is scoring more than Kane, and Kane has developed his assists. Haaland haven’t been match fit for a while. And if you look back a few months. Kane was playing like shit.. So yes. Look at them. When in form and at their movements and service..

Real Madrid can't balance Benzema, Mbappe, Haaland, Vincinius and whoever else imo. Not this year anyway with Benzema being a Balon D'or level player.
Benzema is 34 years old whereas Haaland has 10-15 years of elite level within him.

Real Madrid have chased Haaland for months despite Benzema's amazing season. They'll happily get rid of Benzema to bring in Haaland asap.

Yeah of course they would like any team would. Haaland has 25 goals and 7 assists in 25 games this season. Regardless if people think Mbappe is better or older gen players it doesn’t take away from the fact that goal wise there is no better than Haaland at such a young age

They would be a much worse team if they took out Benzema and replaced him with Haaland right now.

I'm always hesitant over the 10-15 years stuff. It very rarely works out that way - there are basically two cases of it going that way in modern times.

Haaland has a lot going for him now and I think there's probably another level for him to go to, but to suggest he might have 15 years even of being at his current level would be incredible.

Most players only really have about 3 years at their absolute peak, and the time around that can be short, disappointing or unreliable. And we've seen plenty of cases where the peak does not line up with traditional age parameters.

I wonder how many people thought Michael Owen would be a Ballon d'Or contender for 20 years, bearing in mind how easy laughter is with hindsight.

I dont know why people want him. 75m for BVB, 40m for his dad and 40m for Mino. Then his wages.

Seriously? Who on good earth will pay them that ?

Is it just me or is anyone else not really arsed about Haaland anymore? Maybe it’s the injuries and the fact he’s missed a large chunk of this season but before I was desperate to sign him and the prospect of him joining City terrified me but now I’m really not arsed. It may also be down to Raiola and his dad parading him around Europe like he’s fecking gods gift to football and everyone should be queuing up to throw obscene amounts of money at him.

The injuries this season are a big worry for such a huge financial deal. Add in Raiola also. Honestly lets just get Nunez and spend the rest elsewhere.

He's a fantastic striker but not Messi or Ronaldo.

It's hard to be arsed about a robot who plays 10 games a season, only showing occasional glimpses of his potential. But I won't underestimate Baldy & Co. If they manage to repair him, then it’s a whole different story.

His life is going to be made so ridiculously easy with the chances he’s going to have served up to him. Think he could hit 40 PL goals if he stays fit the whole season.

I dont know. I’m curious as to how Citys attack now plays with a striker who adds little to open play that doesn’t allow them to flood the midfield. I honestly think someone like Firminho / Havertz would be sensational for them.

He won't have so many high lines to play against here, and I'm still not sure his style fits City as well as say, Harry Kane. But I am sure Pep makes it work.

Never set foot in England and already the highest paid in the land wow, this is why players hire Raiola no matter how much we hate it as fans

Fair play to Citeh, already the best club in the country the last 5 years and they haven't had an elite number 9 since prime Aguero. Now they're just signing the best young 9 in the world in the same bracket as Mbappe, must be nice...

Nobody will touch them if he stays fit, not even the Scousers

City doesn't suit his style of play at all. He'll be as much of a success as Grealish.

The injuries definitely are a concern for a player whose style of play is so heavily reliant on his physical attributes and taking into account the massive financial outlay. It’s the sort of gamble a club like City can make, but not the sort of thing I would be comfortable with us engaging in when we still have half a team to sign and a limited budget.

Daniel Levy can go do one btw, would've all been avoided had they simply accepted that generous offer of 150M of the Queens finest last summer

Would have been avoided if United got their act together sooner. He would have signed for us if we could have matched his ambitions.

To be honest though 500k a week and all the crazy agent fees. Not sure hes worth it

Be interesting to see what Kane does if Spurs pull a Spurs and miss out on 4th in heartbreaking fashion. At nearly 30 he’s got one last chance for a big move in his prime. Does he try to force his way out again even with the City avenue closed?

This sounds like wishful thinking. Haaland has brilliant technique and the way Dortmund play isn't that radically different from City.

Don’t really care; he was never coming here. He’ll be a good signing for them though no doubt
