Probably BS because we have never spent 200m in one window . But if the Glazers really care, think we need that amount of money to be invested to even achieve a top 4.

Would be a Muppet window

Thinking again, 200m isn't exactly a huge money.

A striker (50- 60m)
2 midfielders (60-70m)
Wide forward - (40- 50m)
Defender - 30-40m

Wonder who his first purchase will be? He'll obviously rock up with his Ajax wants list and he might unearth some bargains for United.

So no fullbacks?

Well, 200m for striker and 2 midfielders is possible.
Striker = 62.5m
DM = 60m
CM/AM = 62.5m
That’s 185m

And then winger plus centre back (depending on departures)
Dean + Martial + Rashford + Bailly = 25m + 22.5m + 40m + 12.5m = 100m plus 10m from the 200m budget.

Winger = 55m
CB = 55m

That’s enough money to get those 5 positions.

We will have 46m alone from players leaving for free. That’s like 154m plus 46m from Matic, Pogba, Lingard, Cavani, Mata wages.

You don't need to spend big. Spend smart. Get cheap buys but buys that fit the way you want to play. Most importantly get players who want to play for the badge.

I trust Erik and the recruitment team to get this right but they should start as early as possible into the next transfer window.

RB should be a high priority. Dalot and AWB need selling, with Laird as the second (maybe even first) option.

FW: Nunez 60m or Nkunku 60m*
WF: Anthony 50m
DM/CM: Tchouameni 60m, Enzo Fernandez 20m or Kamara 0m
CB: Timber 30m

(*if Ronaldo leaves in summer we may need to buy both Nunez and Nkunku)

Around 220m total. Sell one of Martial, Rashford, Maguire or Henderson we can raise 20m fund. I don’t mind selling all 4 of them for 100m.

Out (for free): Cavani, Pogba, Greenwood, Lingard, Matic, Mata

Sell: Rashford (30m), Martial (20m), Maguire (30m), Henderson (20m)

- Anthony and Timber are Ten Haag’s type of players, tested and proven under his system, may improve our teamplay
- Nkunku is highly recommended by Rangnick and has insane stats this season.
- Nunez is one of best new rising striker in Europe at the moment, scoring goals against some of biggest clubs in Europe
- Tchouameni is best available DM in market at acceptable price range (Rice would cost double or triple the amount)
- Enzo has been linked to us recently, highly rated young midfielder with 20m release clause
- Kamara is free this summer, why not, it’s no brainer

DDG
AWB Timber Varane Shaw
Tchouameni Enzo/Kamara
Anthony
Bruno/Nkunku Sancho
Ronaldo/Nkunku

Sub: VDB, Elanga, Garnacho, Mejbri, McFred, Lindelof, Telles, Heaton

I guess we have to work out when we really need as a priority and what we can salvage.
In my opinion it would be.

A centre back, two midfielders, a striker and a right back.

Hoping Ten Haag can make Shaw, Sancho, Bruno, Rashford play again and keep Varane fit.

We all know we can’t really financially buy a whole new squad in one window.

We can spend that amount or more if we are willing to properly fudge the accounts just as City do every year. We desperately need around 7 players to start playing like a football team again and that's the bare minimum. Gonna cost north of 300 mils. Of course selling duds like AWB, Maguire, Martial, Shaw etc remains top priority plus will fetch us a combined 80 mils hopefully.

Glazers always allow Utd to spend more when they miss out on CL qualification. The targeted areas are consistent with other journalists reports so makes sense.

We need to spend it smartly. No Rice or Kane type acquisition

If the money is spent wisely on the kind of profile of players needed for a Ten Hag team, 200 million could get us 5 or 6 very good players.

Isn't the whole point going forward not to sign players you have to compete with 5 other clubs for and try to find them just before they have their headline season? Also isn't this moneyball thing intended to uncover undervalued players who might become a crucial cog in the machine? Like when Liverpool got Wijnaldum, Roberts and Matip for a bag of sweets and a smile?

I'm hoping we're much smarter with transfers starting this summer and walk away from any club trying to milk us for crazy money.

Interesting that we aren’t prioritising any fullbacks. Surely RB is an area that needs improvement ?

Edit : Speaking of, how do fullbacks work in the Ten Hag system?

Erik Ten Hag, won’t know what to do with himself with £200m after being Ajax coach.

He can gamble it off in the casino and quadruple it after winning and sign an entire squad for 800m.

Ten Hag could sign an entire squad for £75m and still win the league man’s a genius..

Pogbas family and agent spends 6 years slagging us off, Pogba stays quiet.
Tells us he is after another challenge after leading us to 6th
Let’s his contract run down to see if any other club wants him
fecks off to Dubai away from the clubs eyes every time he’s injured
Refuses to do the minimum amount of work that’s needed to be a PL top level midfielder.
is shocked that fans aren’t taking too kindly to him?

Problem is lots of players won't want to come to this disaster area...
