Mainly the far right press trying to bullshit those who are thinking of voting for the Teal Independents but some is more the balanced press trying to mobilise the Labor vote to make sure they don't think it is a done deal and not bother voting.

After 6pm Sydney time when counting starts, which is 9am Sat UK time I think. The first seats called will be the safe seats so it will be a few hours after that that we will get a true idea of how things are really going.

They are very accurate despite the comedy. The current government are both incompetent and corrupt. But they were last time and still scrapped in.

This time I think #scottyfrommarketing is so disliked that we might just get rid of them. But polls have been wrong before.

what a disgraceful bunch.

My ALP candidate had the LNP at 4 out of 11 on the HTV. I was able to get him down to 7th.
 
Just over 4 hrs until first polls close and 6 in WA.

I hope we have a result tonight.
 
my closest booth was a RAAF retirement village. They let old folks come up to the front but one of them was bitching that "i can't believe they allow the general public to vote here, I wanted my own private polling station."


Then I saw her with an LNP how to vote....so made sense

Pretty amazing you have to give anything to parties you’d not want in any form of government. Fully expecting Clive to get into the senate, vile human being he is.
Got Covid so put in my postal vote a few days ago. So happy I won’t have to see any more party advertisements For a while.

In the lower house there isn't much chance numbering a minor party way down will give them anything. The way it works is that if nobody has 50% of the vote the person with the least votes is eliminated and their vote goes to who they numbered #2 and this goes on until someone has 50.1% or more.

The senate is more complex but you only have to number 6 or 7 parties (above the line) or 12 individuals (below the line). So you can allow your vote to expire before it ever goes to scumbags. Minor parties do however have a better chance in senate elections due to the rather complex preferential voting system used which is different from that used for the lower house.

If Karen is right, the LNP or government money/pressure was used to send smugglers out with vulnerable people for electoral purposes. That would be the biggest scandal since tampa. How has Albo not come out with a press conference on this?
