Pretty funny that we lose him twice on a free to Juventus.

Awful asset management.

I'm assuming he'll save all his energy for games against Mourinho's Roma and jog through the rest of the season.

The hate people have on here for Pogba is really unhealthy I've rarely seen such bitterness towards one footballer and have to wonder why.

I know people will make up nonsense about his family or agent but even if true is still extremely bitter hatred for little reason.

In five years time when he's long gone people here will still posting how much they hate him.
People here still hate Di Maria for what he did, I don’t see why Pogba would be any different

Hey cowboys fan ☺, i dont hate him but I have never liked him as “one of us”. Constant distractions and not backed up on the field.

can't wait for his 3rd term here

good luck to him, this current Juve side don't look anything close to the ones that were waltzing to Scudettos in the previous decade

If he hadn't left us the first time, he may never have become "Pogba" and we probably would have pissed away his career. Absolute waste of time, money and trust by us fans that he'd ever half live up to half of the hype. He's been worthless for us as anything but a marketing tool but I'm still sad at what should have been if we had ANY football proficiency left in our management or ownership.

It is United best business in years…… getting this parasite off the books even free is going to help United in years….

I'd say the tweet is just worded poorly and your first impression is the correct one.
Ayye would make sense. It is confusingly worded. Either way - Ding dong the Pog is gone. Very happy to see him go, wonderful player as he could be it just never worked out here for one reason or another.

We as a club could certainly have done more, but so could he. He was never truly all in, and we've been a perennial shambles ever since he joined.

Time for a fresh start on both sides I think. I wish him the best of luck as though I never warmed to his character as a professional, he seems a nice enough fella by all accounts.

I reckon he'll do well back in Serie A.

Losing club's record transfer for free to same club TWICE. If this happened to city or liverpool we'd be laughing our asses off. We deserve this level of embarrassment.

i wonder if we ever got a legit bid from a club like barcelona/psg/madrid/juve to buy him at some point from say the 2018-2020 season and what that price would have been.

Wow, taking a pay cut and a shorter contract right when he should be reaching his peak. Half-arsing for years and banking on Raiola to get him a bumper contract hasn't paid off as he expected if even PSG aren't in for him.

Honestly not a bad move for him, he’ll have some very good complimentary pieces around him in MID.

I don’t think Juventus are too far off competing in Europe tbh. If they can add Jorginho, and Perisic as rumoured, along with Pogba. They really just need a Chiellini replacement, and probably another LB to have a very strong squad, on paper.

Clever move. Go to a slower league. Where Lukaku looked world class.

PSG were in for him but he wanted Juve. Also how is 29 reaching his peak? By every measure he's at the end of peak age, and his performances have visibly dropped off from his actual peak too like normal for his age.

If pogba goes we defo need at least 2 mids… a defensive one and a creative one..: someone who can play long balls and accurately too. Need to replace pogbas passes… as bad as he’s been there’s not many midfielders that can pass a ball like he can, some of his passes are unreal. We can’t go into the season just relying on Bruno in the middle for creativity, we’ll have creativity from the wings with sancho but will need more.

Can't believe Juventus have got Pogba for free twice while we had to pay £80m for that spell, fecking robbery. He'll definitely be class too.
Much slower league that suits him more where he has more time and space on the ball to make up for his physical decline where he's less agile

I'm terrible at maths, but it looks like he's taken a hefty salary drop by signing for Juve? He would almost certainly have been offered a healthier wage from City, but I like to think he wasn't prepared to disrespect United by joining a PL rival. Reckon he'll do well in the slower paced Italian league too.

I'm just glad to see this business done and dusted either way. Good luck to him.

He played well for us a few times but overall he has been a waste of money. I don’t care all that much about that. It’s the way he made me hope that leaves me feeling so disappointed. He’s not alone there to be fair.

Good luck to him I suppose but, also, feck him.

He will stroll around in Italian football and I’m sure there will be people blowing smoke up his arse and he will bleat about Utd relentlessly…..

However most in the know understand that the difference in intensity between Serie A and the EPL is night and day….

Lukaku and Tammy Abraham are perfect examples.

Slower pace will suit him and he won’t be exposed so much so a good move for him and a failed transfer for us.

Glad this sorry saga is ending.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't have much choice. After how things have gone the last two years I don't think Real, Barca or Atletico will offer him a contract, nor will Bayern or any of the English clubs. That only leaves the Italian league (which will come with a significant wage decrease and less chance in Europe) or PSG.
I think he probably has enough offers actually. The PSG thing would be understandable if they get Zidane, but apart from that, I see him back at Juventus where he showed he can be a star, in the right setup. His wages though, safe for PSG, will probably be lower then what we offered him. He is an incredible talent but also has major downsides. A team must build their mid to support his lack of tactical awareness and discipline or else he becomes a liability.

I don't think I can remember another CM that can be as polarizing in performances based on the team structure as Pogba. Maybe Zidane if he played today in a mid 3 would be similar but at least Zidane had that "hard" nature about him while Pogba is a bit of a softy when things don't go his way.

All in all, a luxury type player that would have probably been fantastic if we had a prime Matic and a prime nr. 8 working hard to create the platform for the flair player that he is. Just another example of how poor this team was build under the Woodward era.

Nothing of value was lost.
Actually we lost a lot of valuable money in this deal. Paid ton of money and wages for 6 years without nothing valuable in return then let him go on free, again. Awful business by the club.

We should have cashed on him for any kind of money 2 years ago or so, but we let it come to this. We let him run down his contract then leave on free.

Lukaku is what I call a good business : we bought him for a lot of money, 2 years later when it didn't work managed to sell him for a good amount of money. Got one good season from him and didn't lose that much money when we got rid.

Pogba has been an awful business by United through and through.

Tbh I think we're better off just for not having him and Lingard around the club.

Safe option. Go back to a league and club he knows. Will be a different challenge now with Juve not a dominant force anymore and him not having the likes of Pirlo next to him in midfield. Don’t care though, good luck to him away from us

Isnt that A LOT lower??
About €65k a week if true, but I would suspect those bonuses are pretty good.

That deal would suggest he didn’t have many good offers on the table. Sure his PR team will save face and say he turned down mega money elsewhere because he loves Turin or some shit

Is there an argument that he is joining a Juve in decline, much as was when he came back to Utd? That can turn quickly of course but he might be going into the same situation as OT where he is expected to be the key player to lift a mediocre side.

Assume he was hoping for Barca/Real/PSG/City.

so they’ll stick him in a midfield 3 with legs around him and let him make play and attack in the Bruno role. If he can stay fit he’s as good as Bruno but he won’t be able to. I think he’s finished. He hasn’t been able to build up any momentum in the last few years and I also think he’s majorly stagnated. His game didn’t develop at all. If Juve can carry a constantly injured midfield player who’s a passenger in the defensive phase then they’ve got themselves a bargain, again
