Well if you don't want him to leave on a free then pay him what he is asking for. Wasn't he asking for 500-600k a week? I'm sure Juve made an offer that is close to that with the bonuses and signing on fee.

And no I'm no Pogba fanboy. I wanted the club to get rid of this cnut and back Jose to set the culture straight. But of course the club choose to do otherwise and let the fans shit on Mou and let him take the blame.

Well now we have just become a hateful club that simply shits on everyone who comes through here, that is simply unlikable and not fun to watch. How many people have we shit on again? Mou, Lingard, Pogba and soon Henderson. Every single one of these guys I'm sure will have done much better if they weren't here.

Not like I care about them. They are still rich multimillionaires. But we really suck as a club.
That post doesn't add up. You label him a cnut in one paragraph then talk about us becoming a hateful club in the next one.

Well it seems he just signed a bumper contract with Juventus which is higher than what we can offer, so it doesn't seem like he's struggling with income.
No. We offered him £8m net. Juventus offered him £7m net. Which is also a much lower salary in Italy.

Miami? I mean he's not really helping his case with these quotes, is he? More like he's proving Mourinho was right
Absolutely. Which big coach would accept being away in another country thousands of miles way for months as the club still keep paying the wages. The sad part is that, he still think what he did was right.

How is it not against club rules?, breach of contract ? Why did the club let it happen? Tail wagging the dog. fecking amateur hour.

Was thinking the same thing myself yesterday.

Could potentially throw Rashford into the mix there as well. I seem to recall some quotes regarding James Wilson as thinking he'd made it overnight too. Pereira also seemed like a bit of a moron (wasn't he and Januzaj dropped from the youth team for trying to score every time they took a corner?)

Would absolutely add Henderson to that list too, he thinks he's the absolute dogs bollocks that lad and I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn he has been leaking to the press.

I'm fairly sure Nicky Butt (or maybe another recent youth coach?) had a bit to say about the attitude of players coming through the Academy.
Garnacho already gives me that vibe

Sorry, what did the club do to Paul Pogba that makes it suck?

Lawyers quotes:
“Pogba is something we built," Rafaela Pimenta, the lawyer who has been handling the Frenchman's affairs since Mino Raiola’s death, says in one scene. "It’s a brand. It has emojis, it has Pogmojis, it has cups. He has shows, he has haircuts and we hope to entertain people with that.”
Jose's quotes:
“I don’t think it’s about us getting the best out of him, it’s about him giving the best he has to give,” Mourinho stated. "I think the World Cup is the perfect habitat for a player like him to give [their] best.

“Why? Because it’s closed for a month, where he can only think about football. Where he’s with his team on the training camp, completely isolated from the external world, where they focus just on football, where the dimensions of the game can only motivate."

Victory at the World Cup only further empowered the player in this fractured relationship, with some at Carrington referring to Pogba as 'The King' following his triumphant return.

"His ego changed dramatically," a United source said of Pogba's return after international success in Russia. Another noted Mourinho and his staff were "f----d" as United would deify their new world champion.

“My thought process is to show Manchester they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract”
Pity he didn't feel the need to show Manchester United he was worth the contract he wanted while he was still at the club.

Probably he informed the club but no one had balls to stand up against like of him and Rialoa. Show's how bad our club has been run. Players can do what they please and not held responsible.

He made it like his heart was set on Juve again. Thing is he cannot play with crowd/media pressure, and he knew he'd be equally scrutinized in PSG as at United. The french media loves to thrash the PSG players week in, week out (L'Equipe, RMC Sport..). With the World Cup coming in a few months, that was the easiest route for him to be playing for France and have a good salary

I don't know, has anyone seen this? Is it as dating as the media makes it out to be?

You could see with Pogba it was just about the brand, all the off pitch stuff have been documented but you can also see it on pitch, He was more interested in the fancy skill for YouTube than in actually playing for the team.
I can't help but feel the club were in on this, great for Woodward commercial strategy until it turned ugly, Pogba wouldn't have the nerve to do all this if he wasn't supported by the club.
Totally misplaced priorities under Woodward is why we're here.
Jose and Mourinho were totally right we're a club who true interest is the commercial aspect.
I always wondered how a club with the resources of Manchester united can be so bad for so long now I understand fully it was never about sporting success.

He's making a very strong effort to be the victim here, playing United as the ultimate villain with an insulting £300k a week offer and us fans never showing him any love.

He was worshipped the first few seasons here, but he simply did not live up to expectations. Becoming one of the top earners for little justification, and the only importance for him is his brand, which he has clearly highlighted.

A leech that we are good to be rid of. Very talented but attitude really does stink to high heaven.

I've watched the entire thing. Comes off horribly arrogant, talking as if he is prime Zidane. Safe to say he thought he was leaving for the last two years, he cares more about his image than his actual game and performs for the camera, rather than himself and the team. It's like he tried his best to confirm every shitty rumour about his focus and personality. Really tasteless stuff. He even compares himself to Michael Jordan and Lebron James and dreams of living in America because they know how to treat their stars. Gives out 3 Big Macs to the homeless wearing a 400 dollar track-suit and pretends he is the second coming of Jesus.

Not sure what some of you were expecting. He's looking for a new club so obviously will use this to market himself.

It's not a truth bomb or something.

Has he stopped talking about us yet? We don't miss him. Nor do we care. Like a fly. Go away.

Scenes when Juve don't win anything and they turn on him.

Manchester United will return to their heights. Paul Pogba and his shitty attitude won't.

The difference between Pogba and truly great midfielders is that the greats want the team to win at all costs and will put in a shift every week. Roy Keane didn’t give a flying feck about stealing the headlines or how many people actually liked him, he wanted to win and with his high standards elevated everyone around him.

With Pogba we have a petulant and egotistical individual, and while capable of brilliance, all too often throws his toys out of the pram. Him making a documentary about himself doesn’t surprise me in the least. The sad thing is he seemed quite likeable when speaking at press conferences but I’ll be honest, thank Christ he’s gone.

Imagining Pogba in Hustle:

Sandler: "Obsession beats talent every time Paul. You have all the talent in the world, but are you obsessed?"
Pogba: *raises head from his phone screen* "What, oh sure sure. Yessss Sirrrr".

Cut to a plane flying back overseas. Sandlers voice: "I hate soccer". End credits.

It was worse than that. I'm sure he played a few pick up games of basketball while there

Judging from this thread, a lot of people still care and they're in denial about it

Expect him to do a lot more slagging off united because his brand exposure will take a hit at juve and will need to keep speaking united's name to keep up his relevance.

Souness vindicated?
His comments always had more truth in them than most wanted to admit but it was easy to just dismiss Souness(an outstanding midfielder with a strong argument to be seen as better than Keane) as old, out of touch, borderline racist/xenophobic.

If there was ever a moment that highlighted Woodwards version of Manchester United being the antithesis of how it was before, it was resigning this guy for a world record fee, and letting Raiola/Pogba back into the club.

He had 5 good to very good games out of the 8 or so in that campaign. He wasn't "unbelievable" in any one of them.
In the Manchester Evening News theres a report about City and their brief, very brief, interest in Pogba on a "Free" and how he would never have fitted in because Pep demands more than 1 decent performance in 10 from his players and how he never wanted Pogba and his "brand" in the first place. Pogba is busy slagging United off to anybody daft enough to listen, Im just glad this toxic twat has gone.

I watched the first 30 seconds.

The fact he has some lovey dovey voice over claiming how lovable he is pretty much confirmed my suspicions.

I wonder who told Pogba that releasing video footage confirming that he and his agent are greedy bastards was a good idea?

Football is the working man's game, Paula. Trying to convince your adoring followers that £300k a week is "nothing" won't go down as well as you think.

The Americans love it though, the more they talk about money and how much his brand is worth the more it will appeal to those on the other side of the Atlantic

I honestly had the feeling he semi retired after winning the World Cup. He can paint himself as one of those unlucky few to never win a CL, like Zlatan, but without the ability or work ethic. His brand went into overdrive and he just wants to be rich and famous now with as little effort as possible.

I'm amazed that we even offered him a new contract never mind a wage increase, however 'meagre' it was. I've never seen what others see in him, personally I think he's a garbage footballer and I'm overjoyed that he's leaving. Some nice skills when he has 20 minutes on the ball to look for the pass, but otherwise he doesn't really seem to understand the complexities of the tactical side of the game, and he seems to have lower football intelligence. Kleberson also won a World Cup. He's not even worth a good bye.
