This is where I am with Shaw.Aye when he’s fit and when he can be bothered. My patience with Shaw is gone at this point, he’s flattered to deceive for years.
Pfft. Everyone knows FM is where you can properly judge players. Someone load up a game and buy him so we can see how he does.Signed him on my United career on Fifa a couple of months ago and he was incredible despite me being utterly shite at Fifa so he is basically superhuman.
I'm not sure this is the biggest concern. The kids always have to be good enough and I don't think Fernandez was ever playing a role this season. I don't think Luke Shaw is this nailed on player for us, he's barely put together 2 good seasons in his whole time at the club so if Fernandez is up to it there's an opportunity. The pathway blocked for the academy kid, Fernandez then.
I am sure we will but I am not totally surprised. Dutch coaches can be quite rigid and specific, this might be a tact Ten Haag will take in his first summer knowing that he won't have a huge amount of time with the players considering how bad things were last season. Might be quite a good way to try and help get his ideas across quickly enough in his first season.I do hope we start looking beyond Eredivisie and current/former Ajax players soon.
Just for my nerves if nothing else.
It’s € not £ mate, so even betterWe're paying the £15mil over 3 years, so £5mill a year which is really good business
Shaw suffers from being labelled fat and people can't look past that anymore.Don't know. I admit that i am biased towards Shaw. I love seeing a complete player. He has everything. Skill, good defensive abilities, solid pace, he worked well on positioning which was his major flaw, has good cross. As i said; i am little biased but i rate him a lot
Not at all. Shaw might be leaving next year, Telles is not good enough. The pathway blocked for the academy kid, Fernandez then.
I don't see that he's behind Shaw. They've not kicked a ball together at the club yet. Surely that will be the manager's call depending on who earns the spot rather than on seniority. This guy is 22, not some spring chicken that needs protection. He's crosses remind me of Evra's. I like him, he looks good and has potential.
At the moment, he's behind Shaw, I think Luke is a good player, he just need to be a bit more aggressive and we'll be fine with our left backs.
Someone's in a mood, if a promising young right back isn't on our scouting list I'd be shocked - hence my comment.Your hopes, you mean.
Seen some youtube videos of him where he was playing some nice passes (even through balls) with his right foot?Hi Guys,
Feyenoord fan and Man Utd follower here.
15 million is an absolute steal for this guy! And I think you guys will love Malacia! He's without a doubt one of my favourite left backs that has ever played for my club.
Tyrell is very fast and agile, with an extreme drive forward. His tackling is really sharp and he doesn''t hesitate to throw all of his body into a tackle (in a good way).
I would say he is a very clever guy with a good mentality. He will always give 120% in each and every game.
In my opinion, he needs to improve on the ball. It's not bad, but he could be better on that part.
It's just a matter of time until he becomes our first left back for the Dutch national team instead of Daley Blind.
Tyrell is a great guy and he deserves this next step to the PL.
Ask me anything about him, if you'd like!
P.s. Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes. English is not my native language
Not to mention he spends a lot of the time out injured as well. Malacia will get a decent chance to nail down the starting spot if he’s good enough. Shaw def needs to up his intensity, concentration and stay fit.I don't see Luke Shaw as the nailed on starter that everyone else sees. He's had a handful of good games for us and most of them came in a back 3.
Will be interesting to see him have a full pre season under Ten Hag and see what his fitness levels are like then. Not to mention he spends a lot of the time out injured as well. Malacia will get a decent chance to nail down the starting spot if he’s good enough. Shaw def needs to up his intensity, concentration and stay fit.
Does the Dutch league has a RB that we need to follow ? Mazrawi is out of the picture.Hi Guys,

Mostly. But also he did not play anywhere near the level of the previous season when he did play.Shaw was brilliant last year and one of our top players. It wasn’t really just a handful
What happened this year i dont get but can’t remember even watching him play. Was it injuries ?
Luckhurst is definitely in the CafTweet

I agree. Seniority will be decided on who follows ETH's instructions best. I believe Malacia will have a shot at first choice. None of our first teamers are guaranteed to be ETH's type. Many of these targets are even coming in positions of established first teamers. Eriksen, Timber, Malacia, ETH will have his own preferences. It's not a matter of improving everyone. Some could lose their place or be binned.I don't see that he's behind Shaw. They've not kicked a ball together at the club yet. "A handful of good games and most of them in a back 3"? What, did you sleep through the 20-21 season?I don't see Luke Shaw as the nailed on starter that everyone else sees. He's had a handful of good games for us and most of them came in a back 3.
Yeah short memories, he was mint that season and arguably the player the tournament at the Euros with a certain slabhead not far behind."A handful of good games and most of them in a back 3"? What, did you sleep through the 20-21 season?
Make that €15m so €5m the next three years.
15 million euros, not pounds.
The Guardian says it’s €17mill (£15mil)It’s € not £ mate, so even better
Rensch (Ajax). But I'm not sure if he'll end up at RB. He plays DM for Holland u21 and was originally a CB. Stylistically similar to Mazraoui, but he has a calmness in his decision making in front of goal and in the final 3rd that I've rarely seen in a defensive minded player and he's two footed.Does the Dutch league has a RB that we need to follow ? Mazrawi is out of the picture.
Must've included the addons in the total fee. Romano says 15 mil euros + 2 mil in addons. The Guardian says it’s €17mill (£15mil)
either way it’s a good deal

Mourinho brought a few Porto and Primeira Liga players with him to Chelsea and that all turned out fine. Given the mess the team is in I am much more comfortable with ETH bringing in targets he's comfortable with and knows who can form the spine of his team than lesser known quantities.I do hope we start looking beyond Eredivisie and current/former Ajax players soon.

I can accept Shaw having flaws (nowhere near as bad as the hysteria on here makes out, but that’s the same with the majority of the players we have) but to say he’s lazy totally kills any hope of being taken seriously on a subject. I’d be amazed if he isn’t one of our top performers for distance/90 every year.He seems to have self-discipline/motivation issues, and needs a lot of management. And he does have the occasional lapse of defensive concentration.
I really can’t see how anyone who’s watched him play could conclude that he’s lazy though. He’s constantly occupied in finding ways to bring the ball upfield.
It’s the lack of availability from all the niggling injuries that makes me doubt whether he has a future here.
And this is the problem, his consistency is too far and few between, if it’s not injuries it’s poor form it’s always something with him.Really weird how the public opinion of Shaw is so low amongst United fans. He's had issues with fitness, but when he is able to play consistently he is a fantastic LB. I'm pleased with this signing because he needs better competition than Telles, but I also really hope that Shaw is at his best this season because he's a huge asset for the team.
He has been injury riddled for so many years and everyone shits on him non stop for 4 seasons.Short memories. Luke Shaw has 15 career assists for us.
He's had some good games but the shite ones far outweigh the good ones. I think it's you guys who are being nostalgic.
Since he's been here we've won 2 trophies, both trophies came when he had no part to play in them...
Luke Shaw is one of the most overrated and loved players in the caf.
I'm calling it, Malacia will play more games for us this season than Luke Shaw.
Sounds more like a pair of trousers
Hope it's not the case because that would be a massive mentality flaw. You're not meant to regress after winning your starting spot back. A vicious cycle of misleading effort where we finally start to think the position is sorted then he turns back to a pumpkin. We have enough seasonal performers as it is.Whether or not Shaw is still seen as first choice, this is a good move.
Shaws best season came after we signed Telles and he thought he had competition. Then he realised Telles was crap and he defaulted back to normal.
Having quality competition in the squad will be good for us and Shaw.
