Right, I'm high on paprika Pringles and I'm about to throw out enough ifs to print an entire run of the complete works of Rudyard Kipling, but hear me out.

Let's say Nadal, already 2 slams ahead, somehow takes this one. Now it's 23-20 and Djokovic is sweating more than that time he got caught definitely not faking a positive Covid test. And let's say the US decide to give a chance to a young, homegrown, anti-vax nutter from the youth team and don't allow Djokovic in and Nadal wins that as well, with his newly laser-burned nerve endings. Suddenly it's 24-20 and Djokovic is counting on the Aussies to do him a favour and let him in because, frankly, this shit has gone beyond a joke. But they decide once a flamin' mongrel, always a flamin' mongrel and send him home. And Nadal, by now a loose collection of skin hanging from his disintegrating skeleton, wins the Aussie, too and makes it 25-20,. Now we're rolling towards the French and by this point Djokovic is seriously considering going all Tonya Harding on Nadal, but deep down, he knows. The record, like a pig orbiting Springfield, is gone. Still, at least he'll have gotten a nice consoling message from Tennys Sandgren.

If he serves like this Kyrgios could win his first slam.
If Rafa is playing well, he'd beat him. Novak would beat him in B05 too. Kyrgios doesn't have the stamina nor the mental capacity to go toe to toe at the highest level.

Nevermind that I'd rather tennis just not exist if he won a slam. He still has to get past Tsitsipas anyway.

As for Nadal, it's about getting through to the second week. He has enough match practice and fitness, but he's struggling with the courts and so on, so once they wear away he is definitely in with a better chance. Definitely dump Novak on Centre Court every time, so that he can completely eviscerate the grass on the baseline.

Alcaraz is very aesthetically pleasing to watch.

Based on what I’ve seen so far Novak vs Alcaraz in the QF is likely to be the real final this year in Wimbledon. Alcaraz seems to have adjusted to the grass courts when it comes to movement really well after the 1st round and he has the game to outpower Djokovic on the fast surface like grass.

She's got some pretty brutal power to be fair, it's just wildly out of control.... There was like no patience whatsoever mostly, just like straight in with a massive forehand. Is she always that wild and impatient?

Still, impressed by her power, and at 21... time to mature and reign it in. But not getting hopes for anything in the WTA really, it's a wild tour at the moment. Seems to be a different top 10 every year. I'm just not interested due to that, it needs stars, Osaka and Swiatek seem to be the ones with the potential, but who knows with Osaka.

Classic Kyrgios. Outplayed Tsitsipas all set, got pissed off and distracted and then lost the tie break

So who's the favorite now on the women's side? Jabeur? Halep? Ostapenko?

Jabeur I'd say if we're picking one. Was a favourite pre-tournament and has straight-setted her way through so far. Very unpredictable but if there's one favourite now, she's it.

The guy is intolerable. It's a shame because he's an incredibly entertaining player – and not because of all the nonsense.

This is a bit sad, Nadal isnt playing anything god-level. The guy has the biggest off game of his life and looks so incredibly insecure.

Even by his standards, his behaviour today has been appalling.

Bottom line is he’s an attention seeker.

Spotlight elsewhere? Can’t have that, must throw tantrum.

Give him a snooker cue and he’s Ronnie O’Sullivan, similar behaviour although Nick is far more disrespectful to the officials.

Honestly, it's amazing umpires put up with this.

First time, warning. Second time, first serve gone, third time point penalty.

He does it because there's no repercussions.

I do think Nadal has been playing much better than the last two matches but his opponent is also playing worse than the previous two.

Started with a bad call in the latter end of the first. ST just hit a ball into the crown now, and Kyrgios wants a default.
Just saw the replay for that. Djokovic was DQ'd for something similar to be fair to Kyrgios.

Having said that, Kyrgios is a massive twat and can do one.

Tsitsipas is a lucky boy to be fair but Kyrgios has to let the umpire do his job, he’s trying to start an argument at every change of ends, even if nothing of note has happened.

The best thing that can happen here for ST would be for the match to go overnight.

However because of the roof and it’s only 8pm that seems unlikely!

ST has lost his head now and the crowd - for some unknown reason - seem likely to cheer NK home to the win.

It's funny how the crowd are behind Kyrgios  I'm not surprised Tsitsipas is pissed off
