5 clear targets…2 Central Defenders, 2 Wingers and a midfielder…..

First signing is a Left Back..
And we’ve offered a contract to Eriksen and after De Jong, which makes two midfielders

Feel like if we can get martinez and de jong and erikson that's a very good start to the window. If Ronaldo leaves I would like to see another forward come in but I do wonder if we will look at Bruno, erikson, sancho, Martial and rashford (with potentially someone like garnacho also getting minutes) for those top 3 positions and think about playing with a false 9 system like City have.

Which forward should we realistically go for

Key info from yesterday:

Listening to Van der Kraan earlier he (Lisandro) says he is keeping his cards very close to his chest and may not have decided where to go yet. Also said they reached out to him for comment but heard nothing back.

Barca or money:
Barça are willing to keep Frenkie de Jong, but only if he takes a substantial pay cut. He earns 10M [Euros] net. If not, he will go to United. Talks between clubs very advanced (65M+20).

Well come on, don’t make it sound hard when it’s clearly not
I normally use the new posts page to see what is going on rather than switch through different forums. But now I know they are easy in the transfer forum!

  • Ronaldo’s United team-mates were left with the impression that the forward would look to move this summer if the club failed to qualify for the Champions League.

  • On more than one occasion Rangnick proposed to football director John Murtough and chief executive officer Richard Arnold that Ronaldo be sold, and replaced, during the January transfer window. There were said to be several emails and messages on this topic.

  • Rangnick felt that as Ronaldo’s time at United was uncertain beyond the end of the season, it made sense to act sooner rather than later to reconfigure the side’s attack.
So the club aren't blameless here.

The club aren't blameless because they never should have signed him in the first place. It was purely a hype transfer. The team regressed massively once he joined - I'd wager that rather than being relegated without him, we'd actually have been better off last season.

Not the first time I've heard this, he did a great job here last year but can't help think we may have been better without him considering how much the team playstyle changed once he arrived.
