He pretty much is, yeah, which is why he's the most reliable Barcelona journalist of the lot.
So basically if Barca tell him to push Chelsea being interested, he'll do it.
So we have Edu and Romero, both Barca mouthpieces pushing the Chelsea interest, yet everyone else hasn't really bothered, and nothing here in the UK either.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Mendes wants to move Neves/Silva to Barca. Laporta wants United to cave and give him more wonga for De Jong. Boehly wants a show pony signing (Ronaldo) from Mendes. Laporta and Boehly are already negotiating for Dest, Alonso and Azpi. Mendes met Laporta two days ago. “Wouldn’t it be great if rather than negotiate on teams like you have been doing we leak Chelsea are ALL IN FOR THE DONG and then get the American showman to turn up in person - thus pressuring United into stumping up the wonga allowing De Jong to move, Silva/Neves to move and United then allowing Ronaldo to move as they have their marquee signing in” - tell them all to go shove it up their arse John.

That is all well and good but how the feck he would know if Boehly is "a fan of player swaps" considering he has never before owned a football club is completely beyond me.

Fair enough. I saw him listed as T4 for Barca.
That's an anomaly from them. The people behind it probably didn't like it when he reported that Gavi was being offered a new contract a few months back when others weren't reporting it. From my observations, though, his information is solid but isn't necessarily from the same source as Edu Polo, for example.

Cool, thanks!

Isn’t Kovacic quite similar in his role for Chelsea? Can’t see FdJ being a priority when they have no CBs or a striker.
Isn’t De Jong more of a playmaker/tempo setting sort of player who plays deeper? The metronome of the team who keeps everything ticking over. Like Jorginho.

Whereas Kova is a dribbler and ball carrier who plays through the lines.

That I have no clue. It's weird that Edu Polo stated this, but I wouldn't be surprised if Laporta told him something to get to this point.

Frenkie is sort of combination of both Jorginho and Kovacic. He can set the tempo (without the passing range of a Pirlo/Jorginho) and dribble/carry the ball from the back.

Oh, this is 100% coming from the top brass at Barca. I still think it's worth waiting to see what the Chelsea guys have to say about it before jumping to too many conclusions personally; it could be entirely legitimate and it could be Barca posturing.

My guess is posturing, seeing as no one else is reporting it, and you'd have thought by now, someone would have picked up on it and said something

Under the duvet, with a laptop.
From what I can gather, deal is agreed with Barcelona, personal terms being finalised in London tonight with FDJ's agent - it's in the bag - just the medical and sign on the dotted line to complete.
The 'deferred payments owed' issue is between Barcelona and FDJ, I don't believe it'll make the slightest difference to us signing him, and is an issue for them and their lawyers alone to sort out in the future.

As an aside, I'm starting to feel confident we'll get Martinez and Antony over the line shortly too.

Maybe one other biggish signing if Ronaldo does jump ship.

Slight concern, whether justified or not - Eriksen's medical.

Starting to feel more relaxed and dare I say, positive, after the ups and downs of the past few weeks!

Or the player gives them up?

It can happen obviously and it’s promising that the player wants United by all accounts so is motivated to make it work.
Can't see him doing that when he's due that money and an upcoming wedding to pay for

Okay, now I’m convinced that the reporters are just throwing shit at the wall and making it all up.

This meeting is almost surely just about establishing friendship/relationship between a new owner and the Barca hierarchy. Nothing more. Perhaps they’ll speak about Azpi and Alonso but I highly doubt they’re negotiating anything over a dinner.

"Frenkie de Jong to be discussed"

Barca: Would you like to bid for Frenkie? The Fee is 90 million euro... and his wages for the last couple of years

Chelsea: Nah

Barca: Bugger
