Do kids really enjoy heading that much?.Kids will just practice heading unsupervised instead with their mates in the park or at home with their Dad's etc who aren't qualified pro's.
Removing heading just creates a bigger risk of kids learning the wrong technique while unsupervised, thus causing more of an issue.
They’re not doing drugs mate, it’s just heading. No one wants to head the ball at that age anywayKids will just practice heading unsupervised instead with their mates in the park or at home with their Dad's etc who aren't qualified pro's.

I used to love head butting the ball as hard as possibleDo kids really enjoy heading that much?.
As a kid, heading was just another way to score and most kids wanted the ball at their feet.
Exactly. Why bother stopping it then? They’re not doing drugs mate, it’s just heading. No one wants to head the ball at that age anyway
Love the idea of kids gathering behind the bike sheds for illicit games of head tennis. They’re not doing drugs mate, it’s just heading. No one wants to head the ball at that age anyway
Will they? Are kids bothered about heading? Do they enjoy it?Kids will just practice heading unsupervised instead with their mates in the park or at home with their Dad's etc who aren't qualified pro's.

Because it can damage their brains?Exactly. Why bother stopping it then?
Exhibit AI used to love head butting the ball as hard as possible
Because there's almost direct link to heading and dementia? It also encourages the kids to get better with the ball at their feet instead of crossing it to the biggest lad on the pitch who's developed before all the others have.I used to love head butting the ball as hard as possible
Exactly. Why bother stopping it then?
fecking hellBecause it can damage their brains?

But kids are still going to be doing it unsupervised and will still be doing it from the age of 13 onwards.Bloody snowflakes, trying to stop kids getting CTE. In my day, we all had CTE.
In my day we all had CTE.
Why's it an issue? You think this will hold us back in winning a world cup?But kids are still going to be doing it unsupervised and will still be doing it from the age of 13 onwards.
I can guarantee the amount of kids ending up with CTE in later life due to heading the ball below the age of 12, is pretty slim.
How can statistics prove that people are getting CTE due to heading the ball under the age of 12 and not because they are heading the ball at 13 and above or because they were heading the ball every day as a full pro aged 18 and over for a 20 year career?
“Other things are dangerous so we shouldn’t try to make football safer.”But kids are still going to be doing it unsupervised and will still be doing it from the age of 13 onwards.

Nah, they're just doing it for a laugh because they hate kids. First free meals, now this. It will be Rashford's next campaign.Evidence that heading under 12 is a problem?
If it is, there should be mountains of evidence given kids have been heading footballs for 100+ years.

First of all, please see my comment above.Because it can damage their brains?

Because the world is now full of pansies and I would prefer to watch the world burn. Why's it an issue? You think this will hold us back in winning a world cup?
If they ban heading, it'll drive it underground where it becomes controlled by criminal gangs in the Head Light District.
I fecking hated heading at that age. Total football snob me.They’re not doing drugs mate, it’s just heading. No one wants to head the ball at that age anyway
Cultured left foot eh?I fecking hated heading at that age. Total football snob me.
Left footed…wouldn’t call it cultured!Cultured left foot eh?
Does this explain why the National team is shite though? Could be directly related I feel.In Ireland clubs have been banned from doing training drills involving heading for 13 and under for a while now. Never been banned in matches though. That would be a huge change. Not sure there’s any appetite for it.
You’d rather the World literally ended than saw footy played the floor…?Because the world is now full of pansies and I would prefer to watch the world burn.
“At that age”? Did you learn to love it? I have always hating heading the ball. Partly because it fecking hurts but mainly because I’m shit at it.I fecking hated heading at that age. Total football snob me.
Underrated comment. If they ban heading, it'll drive it underground where it becomes controlled by criminal gangs in the Head Light District.
More likely because we have a very small population and our best athletes play other sports.Does this explain why the National team is shite though? Could be directly related I feel.
#saveheaders
I’m pretty short - a whole inch shorter than Martinez so anytime I head the ball during 5-aside I get a smug sense of satisfaction that I’m clearly some amazing reader of the game! It adds to the enjoyment.“At that age”? Did you learn to love it? I have always hating heading the ball. Partly because it fecking hurts but mainly because I’m shit at it.
the issue isn't correct technique or poor form, it's brain damage.Kids will just practice heading unsupervised instead with their mates in the park or at home with their Dad's etc who aren't qualified pro's.

I was playing. It’s those hurling idiots like @The Black Pearl that cause the issue.More likely because we have a very small population and our best athletes play other sports.
Ironically, the one thing our national football team has always been very good is heading the ball. It’s the other stuff we struggle with.
