Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.

It’s amazing they create headlines from anything. When you read the article you see he’s been urged by the football guru, none other than Agbonlahor! And they also quote Sport from Spain.
Normally i would take this kind of article with a pinch of salt but i know for a fact that the entire generation of young Dutch footballers takes the advice of mediocre, late 2000s Aston Villa players very seriously.

Chelsea should really have gotten Richard Dunne or Stwphen Warnock in to convince De Ligt.

I just don't understand the whole De Jong or bust thing. Or why it seems Tielemans is the alternative when we have enough 8s. We can get a solid DM, play a 4-3-3 and pair the DM with Bruno and one of Eriksen/VdB/Fred/Garner/Hannibal/Zidane and we'd have a solid midfield.

Fingers crossed we end up getting De Jong because I don't think we need Tielemans and I don't want to see another season of McFred
I wonder if ETH is thinking of playing martinez as the DM. Not saying that's good or bad think given I can't remember seeing him play. Given his size (or reported lack of it), he wouldn't be caught out as much as if he was a CB (and we do have a few of those) so I'm just wondering

Based on?
hmm let's see.

maybe by realising that Nottingham Forest have added 11 players to their squad while we are still waiting for the stamped addressed envelope we sent to FDJ to be returned. Then let's look at the business the likes of City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal have done.

Meanwhile, Laurel and Hardy are enjoying an all-inclusive breakfast at the Premier Inn Barcelona...

Ah I see, you're still going with the same kind of post for the 500th time. Cheers.

I mean... in all fairness, this transfer is pretty much out of our hands at the moment. We can't really do much until he sorts the issues with Barca out. If it's reported that he's sorted the issues then fails to reach an agreement with United, then there's issues, but I just don't see that happening.

Personal terms aren't expected to be a problem, so as soon as Barca get their act together and sort this wage issue, this transfer can progress. Until then, its a waiting game

I hope that's right and that stories about him not wanting to come to us are pure bollox. But it would be nice to be sure that our top comedy duo have at least sounded out the player and have a plan B to fall back on if it goes arse up

Yeah but that doesn't go with the 'club is a mess and a circus' agenda so.
maybe you can tell me why you think the club is being run so well. you know, some facts rather than just saying that people who have the audacity not to agree with you have an "agenda"

I can't imagine that Ten Hag wouldn't have had assurances from de Jong stating that he will come if his issues are sorted at Barca. It would be stupid for us to blindly chase a player, and yes we have been stupid in the past, but we're sticking at this with Ten Hags wishes, so he he HAS to have been told something that makes him want to stick around.

We walked away from Timber when it was clear he wanted to stay at Ajax, and we walked away from Brobbey when he also said to Ten Hag that he wanted to go to Ajax too, so we're not afraid of walking away if the player doesn't want to come.

It's good you found yourself in that post. I'm not saying its run well but some things are certainly better than before. You're the one who has been going with 'its all disastrous' stuff for weeks on and on again. Saying club is a circus cause FDJ is a specific deal in which United has done their part, agreed a fee with Barcelona. I'm sure if they felt or know FDJ definitely doesnt want to come they'd pull out of the deal.

Good points, well made. And I'm certainly willing to trust ETH's judgment - the skills of Murtough and Arnold: not so much. I'm worried they might bollox this up late on

One of two things has to be true:

a) he’s interested in joining ETH at Old Trafford

b) ETH is a complete stalker moron that tells his board to chase a player for months despite the player telling him he’s not at all interested.
Indeed! Let's just hope that our comedy duo don't bollox things up at a late stage like Woodward

ETH is probably calling him and bothering him non stop, sending him messages come to United, come on, you know you want to.
And our comedy duo is ready to oblige.

So no facts or evidence. OK.

By the way, you'll also see that I was very optimistic about this transfer the day ETH arrived, but I don't suppose you've bothered reading those posts.

I do agree that some things do look to be run better but I want solid proof of that and so far Murtough and Arnold have done very little to provide that. Part of me wished the club could keep all their deals quiet until the work is done (do you remember the surprise caused by Eric's move?).

Part of me still thinks this deal can be struck (when threads were asking on ETH's first day what his line-up would look like, I said I didn't know but anyone's prediction not including FdJ would be wrong) but time is running out and there is other work to do.And lots of other Caf members agree with me

So if it seems to me things are a bit better, the whole football structure has been changed and restructured and we seem not to go for some used stars but are doing shrew business so far is not fact or evidence but if you say you want a solid proof we're run better those are facts and evidence? As for being quiet, its not their fault whole media knew they were in Barcelona, I'm sure they didnt announce they're leaving there on speakers.

Cool.

As for you being optimistic about anything, yeah I might have missed those posts.

Oh and congrats on lots of Car members agreeing with you. Kudos.

I fully expect you to moan still even if we get FDJ, you'll find another reason.

The transfer fee has been agreed, so there's not a lot they can do to feck it up from here. The only way I can them screwing up is by paying FdJ a fat sign-on bonus so he isn't as worried about the money from Barca.

Source within United camp revealed that Arnold and Murtough have been singing outside Frenkie de Jong's place.

You say you'd like to stay
But this is not your time
Go back, find your own way to future world

One day you'll live in happiness
With a heart that's full of joy
You'll say the world tomorrow without fear
The feeling of togetherness will I be at your side
You'll say you love your life and you'll know why

'Cause we all live in future world
A world that's full of love
Our future life will be glorious
Come with me to future world
