Source within United camp revealed that Arnold and Murtough have been singing outside Frenkie de Jong's place.

You say you'd like to stay
But this is not your time
Go back, find your own way to future world

One day you'll live in happiness
With a heart that's full of joy
You'll say the world tomorrow without fear
The feeling of togetherness will I be at your side
You'll say you love your life and you'll know why

'Cause we all live in future world
A world that's full of love
Our future life will be glorious
Come with me to future world
Ahh, the innocence of Helloween! :D

On topic... big day today!!!!!!

Not encouraging reports...
Not sure if there's anything there to take seriously to be fair. Am pretty sure de Jong isn't going to take the word of Agbonlahor as gospel is he? Not sure he'll even know who he is. Plus aren't they quoting Sport too... not a great choice.

If i was anyway good with photoshop id do Frenkie running away from Vecna (Barca) in the upside down, whilst his friends Arnold and murtough are looking at his body in stasis on the normal side

Bell ringing time?
..I think so.
From the outside it just seems utterly ridiculous.

I do believe ETH does have other central targets though. He's a smart guy, who's playing his cards close to his chest.

I don't want to believe that we'll neglect the midfield yet again for another summer if this FDJ deal doesn't materialize . :nervous:

Frenkie will play in Manchester United shirt before 1 september, it will take time because he needs to resolve the problems he has with the money Barcelona owe him, as soon as it sorted out, he will be in Manchester. Barcelona has made it clear that they want to sell him, and there are two reasons, the have 2 generational talents in midfield in Pedri and Gavi, both playing as CM where they need a real CDM behind like Busquets (but he is getting older) and they have brought in Franck Kessié to share the spot behind Pedri and Gavi with Busquets. Dont get me wrong, of course that they could keep De Jong, as he is one of the best players in his position, but his also the only one they can cash in big money on this summer to cover up the economical issues they have.

They have right now spent 103m total and sold players for 23m which makes a net spending of 80m (tells you something?). Selling De Jong to Manchester United is just a matter of time. They are still trying to being respectful and not forcing him away (at least not openly through media), which they will if it what it takes. But still, i cant seeing De Jong being SO desperat to stay in a team where he is not wanted, no matter if the is his dream club. Pride, cant be bought, and i hope he has some, and comes to a club where he will be one of the keyplayers, be appreciated from both fans, mangers and the his teammates.

Barcelona clearly wants Bernardo Silva, they also have no other player to cash in on (if they dont want to sell their future stars in Fathi, Gavi, Pedri - which wont happen since they are younger and from their academy). They paid 85m for De Jong and it seems they have agreed on a deal with United for about the same money with add ons. And that both Morthough and Richard Arnold went to Barcelona last week (all reliable source confirming it) says it all about where the clubs stands. So like I said, Barcelone needs to sort out the 17m the owe De Jong and I think he understands that the right thing for him is to move on - EVEN if lets say all suddenly Chelsea went all in for him and he chooses them over us - but the point is the his time in Barcelona is over and i believe that ETH will convice him to join us in the end. And one good thing is that we don't really have to have panik if he join us in 2-3 weeks, he knows what ETH demands of him and the way he wants us to play even if it wont be exactly like at Ajax, it still wont be far from it.
He is everything we need in a CM right now, i just still hope we sign Pau Torres for the LCB position next to Varane and play Martinez as CDM in 3 man midfield with Frenkie and Bruno/Eriksen - or it will be more like a 4-2-3-1 with Martinez being the CDM, Frenkie more of a box to box and Bruno/Eriksen a bit higher up between 2 wingers and then a striker upfront.

Get us Antony and De Jong and this team starts to look like something that should "easy" get top 4, compete for Europa League and one of the domestic cups.
That’s the dream! Great post, and you’re right about it all. Frenkie is coming!

When are they back from tour? Or when do they play again? Or when do we play again?

Give me something to look out for.

Sorry Frank you gave it a good go but ultimately came up short. No muppetdom for you this summer. Try again next year.

In this case you really need an expert in photoshop, because Vecna (barca) needs to push Frenkie out instead of trying to hold him in the upside down ;)

I don't think FDJ will be the one running away from Vecna (Barca) in this scenario.
Vecna (Barca) will be running away from him.

At the end of the window this thread will be remembered as one of the most disastrous and comedic threads on this site. A tweet from Romero actually generated 933 pages and counting of posts....

hmm let's see.

maybe by realising that Nottingham Forest have added 11 players to their squad while we are still waiting for the stamped addressed envelope we sent to FDJ to be returned. Then let's look at the business the likes of City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal have done.

Meanwhile, Laurel and Hardy are enjoying an all-inclusive breakfast at the Premier Inn Barcelona...
And which of these 11 wonderful players that Forest have signed would you propose United go for? How do you think a whole new team will play together? Nah, we’ll stick with our approach thanks, quality over quantity.

I do wonder if we are trying to sweeten the pot if you will to say "Fine, we'll take Memphis too to help you out then..." when I'm not sure if we are that interested in him, he isn't the most prolific..

It's actually bizarre Barcelona have dragged their feet for so long here. They're holding up a potential €85m transfer because they won't pay Frenkie the €17m he's owed, when it's clearly the most significant source of revenue they can make from a transfer this summer.

Meanwhile they're selling off their future to sign a soon to be 34 year old striker. Weird club.

This morning the garbage people came to take out the trash. One of them were wearing a Barcelona hoodie. I take this as a sign that Barcelona are taking out the "trash".. I am officially sucked in.
Today will be the day we hear some good news!

I thought if they waited for some lever they could then reinvest a higher % of the sale of FdJ or something like that. Maybe that's (one of the) issues, along with his deferred wages.

Surely FDJ is blonde is a fact? Or is it out of a bottle? Is he a bleached fraud?!!
What business have Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs have done till far, ask yourself that. When you get an answer all will be clear to you.
