It’s amazing they create headlines from anything. When you read the article you see he’s been urged by the football guru, none other than Agbonlahor! And they also quote Sport from Spain.

There's been almost nothing positive regarding United for a while now. Even the English 'press' are starting to turn after being behind us for most of this deal.

This is absolutely dead

Am I the only person who before this saga, had never heard of the word ‘lever’ being used in relation to finances?

Agbonlahor hasn't said anything positive about United in his life to be fair.

Yes the mail quoting Agbonlahor quoting a Spanish source really is the English press turning against us.

Hang on, so the Mail quoting a Sport article and using the opinion of Agbonlahor, who de Jong won't ever listen to or probably barely knows even exists, equates to this transfer being absolutely dead?? Come on now.

I've seen nothing by the English media, outside of those quoting Sport or Spanish media, that even remotely suggests this is off.

Isn't this just Agbonlahor spouting off on talkSPORT? What does it have to do with the probability of this transfer?

Who knows. Maybe he's the voice of truth and reason now and we all need to listen to his greatness? Highly doubt it though

Don't you know that Abonglahor is FDJ mentor and idol? He listens to everything he says, add in the fact that he is on Talksport and how could FDJ not take notice??

Are these idiotic reports being leaked by Barca? Why would he want to join that plastic bunch of turds over us?

Apart from the fact we've agreed a fee and the news coming out is that Barca are trying to force him out and the press (without ' ' ) said that we're playing the patient game..

Other than that, dead AF.

Seems the least likely out of the three
Agree but its still an option. Barca pulling levers to spend but they still need to sort their wage bill out in line with La Liga requirements.

Lets see how it develops now.

I feel like he's taking the piss out of United for chasing someone who doesn't want to come. It would be different if one of his mates was the manager wouldn't it?
Ok then my heart is lying. Gary is bullshit as always.

Guys. This one is done.

It might take a while to sort out the contract between barca and FDJ, but he will be coming.

Theres going to come a point in time when barca need to register their players and the window will shut. They will come to a compromise.

The take away from this transfer window, the De Jong saga included should be that the Glazers are going to get away with a £53m net spend.

This saga is beginning to feel like an embarrassment for the club.
