His agent said the decision about his future could be made very soon as reported in an Slovenian article from this morning.

The agent quote roughly translates as: "The decision about the next step in his career could be made very soon. You can be sure that it will be made with a sober mind and on the basis of a careful analysis of what is best for his (Šeško) development"

The article then suggests that besides us, there is also concrete interest form Newcastle, Dortmund and Bayern Munich and that there is also a possible transfer to Leipzig on the cards, although I am almost certain that the last one is just an opinion by the author.

Yeah I’ll not derail this one, all I’ll say is really impressive is within the context of “18 year old just moved from Italy and going through something of a identity crisis”. He’s not looked a surefire starter but with the first team he’s already showed he’s got something more than say, Elanga has.
Fair enough... certainly a talented lad, and I really hope he does make it.

He's a tough one to judge isn't he. He looks a little clumsy and ungraceful at times when receiving the ball but then his touch, balance and feet look excellent when he's on the ball. Quite unorthodox in his running style and body shape.

I think it's his physique and height that make him look a bit awkward but he makes it work in the highlight videos so more power to him. I'd be interested in seeing him unedited over 90 mins to see if these moments have been cherry picked. Darwin Nunez shows how the same player can either look like the reincarnation of Marcelo Salas or a donkey in a wig depending on how clips are curated.
Yes I think it’s these things….he looks like either a player with all the tools, or a player who’s highlights make him seem so.

Why do you say that?

Not that you're wrong and I am right, I don't see the "pretty average."

I watched it and came away impressed, with his touch, two-footedness, link-up play. Certainly no "Lukaku."
Could have scored a few more goals but his technique looks on point. Think it's more just the timing and placement which will come.

I think what doesn't help is, I keep hearing him compared to Haaland.

I actually think he's better/more refined all-round as a player but, Haaland is easily the more explosive and lethal finisher. I wouldn't expect Haaland numbers from him. Think he has more maturing (physically and mentally to do).

Be good to hear your take, and point out what I'm oversighting/misjudging.
I’m not sure, I watched the video and at times he looked like a player getting lucky with the bounce or a heavy touch. At other times he looked very assured and intelligent. Both in equal measure.

United upping the add ons a fiver time to next summer, time to buy this lad. People want us to pay big for Anthony, this lad looks like he has a huge ceiling. United need to stop fecking around and bring in some forwards. It's clear greenwood is never coming back too (not saying he should).

What makes you think that they do?
It seems as though from media coverage and the reported fees other clubs seem to be quoted, although I do understand that just because it seems it doesn’t mean it’s reality. My reply came from an emotional place from seeing that 55 millie number, which seems ridiculous to me

A young Ibrahimovic looked clumsy too.

Haller is more agile than you‘d think as well.

idc what he looks like as long as he delivers the goods. Looks like he might.

Any selling club knows we’ve got 2 strikers, and only 50% of them want to be here. Desperate times calls for desperate money, and every selling club knows it. Add this to an already dry strikers market and 55m for a 19 year old with one season in the Austrian league suddenly becomes fair.

What is the obsession on here with writing Amad off? Do folk see him as some kind of poster boy for Ole?

He’s looked really impressive when he’s played, his only problem is being small. I just don’t get it.
Not even the same position. Why not compare to DDG? People seem to actively look for scapegoats here

I get what you mean. I put that down to the maturing aspect though.

Where Haaland from the get go has looked at ease with his frame and able to clock top speeds with it, I think Sesko is still a bit bambi like but, certainly think he will be assured once he matures.

Not giving any sort of certain prediction but, I wouldnt be surprised if Sesko ends up a more rounded player than Haaland (like an Ibra) whereas Haaland is simply the more lethal player and absolute goal machine (latter version of CR).

I'll be very annoyed if he goes to Dortmund.

Don't think so. They got Haller and Adeyemi just this season. I know Haller is out for few months but still I don't see them going in for Sesko.

Not entirely correct. None of Slovakia and only 25% of Slovenia is part of the Balkans geographically. The divider is apparently the Sava river, and Radeče where Šeško is from is right on the river bank. Where in the country @Woziak s girlfriend is from I have no idea. Not that it particularly matters to the topic of the thread.

In any case he looks a proper talented baller. Would be interested to see how he develops as a goal scorer, but he seems to have all the ingredients as well as the hunger to make something of himself. Ready for United? No one knows until it’s been tried.
It really doesn’t but if you call Slovakia, Bulgaria or Romania the Balkans she goes crazy ! For the record she’s from Maribor hood that clears this up

He looks a talent but I'd be wary about signing him at any cost. The Ronaldo situation has clearly put us in an awkward position but if we were going to make a move for a player like this it should've happened much earlier in the window.

Why? We had a very established Ruud van Nistelrooy, Louis Saha and Alan Smith in the very early stages of the 2004-05, but that did not stop SAF from going after a 17-year-old wonderkid who would later score 253 goals for United. That move came late in the summer transfer window as well.

Situations change, but I still prefer to dish the money now before our situation would become far more awkward for us.

Based on the YouTube videos, I think he will offer something different that we are currently don't have in our attacking option. Physicality and aggression.

I bet anything he goes to Bayern. They are too clever to not replace Lewa with the next big thing
That is my fear, but didn't they already signed a 17-year old striker for huge money this summer? If we don't get this guy this summer, I fully expect other big clubs to target this guy next summer.

Making this signing now would be dictated more by the lack of bodies in our forward line than being hell-bent on signing that particular player, else we would've tried to make the move before now. If we paid the £55m Salzburg reportedly want, that would be a panic buy.

I don't think the circumstances are really comparable to when we signed Rooney. Ferguson had been after him for a while before we actually got him.

Bayern would make a lot of sense for the player too. They will just keep winning as he gets up to speed. The route to Spain later on is clearly there etc. new manager optimism aside unless we get FDJ I wouldn’t even really be considering coming here (or to Newcastle) if I was him

Remember when we signed Poborsky off the back of the Euro's? Are we in for this lad off the back of a pre-season friendly?

Seeing as Ronaldo is unlikely to leave this season, wouldn't be against the idea of loaning him for this season if Salzburg are that adamant.
It's a possibility that would be good, but I will always admit that I'm in the same mindset as SAF has always been with the idea of stacking up the front line.
